I know this has probably been answered a million times before but im sure it will remain a common question to all newbies as myself. What are the requirements to rank up in status on bitcointalk?

To answer you clearly, you will become a Member Rank next activity period if you reached 60 post.

Will add some too, you'll get 14 activity for each 2 weeks, so you'll become a member rank around 2,5 months later.

Requirement was promoted bitcointalk is activity, which is obtained from the amount of your post for a period of 2 weeks. So within two weeks of your activity will only get 14. The more activity you are the higher your rank. Thank you

For Member rank, you need at least 60 activity for get member rank and  you can get member rank status around two and a half months because you only get 14 activiy for every 2 weeks.

only 2 months i think because from the time you created your account you have potential of 14 activity already and if you do the math, 14 activity per 14 days (2 weeks) basically is 1 activity per day so 60 activity is 60days (2months)

You need to reach 60 activity.
Upon regitration ou get 14 activity. Activity updates give you 14 activity. Next activity update is in 2 weeks. So that means 14* 4 = 56 + the 14 you got on your registration. You need to wait atleast 2 months.

This is the right way to use your common sense.. OP said that the question is answered millions time, which is right. but he didn't even try to search it him self instead of asking that million time asked question again..

Thanks guys for the detailed answers! Im guessing its because im newbie status, but I can only search once on here before getting an error that im searching too quickly. Actually i just checked and successfully searched more than once and the wait is 18 seconds until searching again instead of hours. Must have been some bug at the time I posted this. Anyhow thanks again for the answers!

Yes, you just need to do, don't you burden yourself with when going up the rankings, it will make you not enjoy working, all the rules are already set by the admin on this forum, so we just have to do, keep the spirit  ;) There is no direct, all need a process, Good luck  :D

activity = posts per day or logged in per day?

you can get what you want to become a member in this forum is lots of patience and always follow the rules of this forum. you must always follow the instructions.

Why is it everytime I try to post a reply or question it says I allready placed a message and have to wait for 360 seconds, even when it's a day ago I placed a message?
