Title: 'smoothie' trust abuse
Post by: Hong Kong on July 04, 2016, 11:15:10 PM
It has come to my attention that user smoothie (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=25960) is heavily abusing the trust system

I think trust abuse has become a real issue on Bitcointalk unfortunately. I hope a more nuanced trust system will be established on epochtalk that has measures against abuse implemented.

def trust abuse:
leaving trust for personal beef/opinions, not related to actual trades

Do you have evidence to support this allogation?
Or are you just spamming because you have "personal beef" with this user?

Also, based on your trust report, you are regarded as giving false information and false claims on other threads!

EDIT: It does look like this user is spamming in very few places, though thre are certain aspects of strangeness from some of it (from what I saw).

Nice signature spamming man.  Yes I have evidence.   Click on the username (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=25960) and see "sent feedback".

I don't have beef with the guy directly, I just can't stand trust abuse.  It's filthy.  No matter if smoothie does it or anyone else, for instance the one guy that left feedback on my acc indeed.

Please whatever you do, absolutely do not give any examples of this.

Bro that's how the trust system works on this forum.  It's set up such that you don't need to have dealt directly with someone in order to mistrust them.  If someone is a scammer but hasn't scammed me, I can and should leave them negative trust.  Having said that, it's definitely a broken system and needs improvement.

By the way, please give examples of why you think smoothie is abusing the system.   I don't see it.

I'm confused too. He left just 1 feedback this year. Positive. To fluffypony.
Where's the problem?

Ya, what the hell are you talking about? The negative on master-P or the positive on fluffypony this year? Other than that there's nothing. Are you whacked out of your mind man?

Maybe your real account got a negative from him 2 years ago and you just can't let it go.

I don't see any evidence where he has trust abused. Please can you be more specific ? You should not be bothered unless of the abused scammers are your alt accounts.
