Title: 4x 6970 not working right
Post by: BitPorium on June 12, 2011, 02:25:15 AM
Hello, I am using guiminner and have all 4 cards set up as OpenCL miners with -v -w128 flags on each card. card 1 gets 370mhs card 2 -4 get 340 mhs. Is there a reason for this? I am using crossfire bridges to connect them. any ideas. Thanks!

Another update: I reinstalled drivers and now it seems to work better. Gpu 1,2,4 working St 400mhs and gpu3 at 300. I could use some advice. Each card Han an 8x link and they have crossfire bridges on.

What are the temperatures?

Yes.. temperatures can be causing the cards to enter a lower powerplay state.

the cards are reaching 78c and it seems with a lower oc they perform much better, I have then set to 900mhz and +5% power and they are much more stable. Each one is performing around the same. A side effect that i wasn't expecting is how loud they are, it is really annoying!

You should set the Power Control to +20 for every card if you want them to perform at maximum capacity.

Any reason for the cross fire bridges? I use the same setup you do (slightly different card model) and dropped cross fire since I wanted each card acting completely independent of the others. Each of my cards runs at the same rate to within 1Mh/s
