I've seen some Dutch guy on the Dutch forum part that uses professional technial analysis predicting that the price will touch 9000$ in the start od september. Sounds very nice but we will see will it happen.

$9000 or $900? It still imposible to come above $1000 just after halving like this
If want price come high ofcourse we need buyer, and yes who want buy a bitcoin at $9000 everyone will want to sell

i am sorry to say this but that analysis was bullshit because in bitcoin it is impossible to reach $9000 within a month and a half. even if price starts rising right now and it goes up fast it can't grow $8350 in this short time, people will dump a lot in the process which will slow it down to a couple of years and that is only if it is possible.

Once the sellers have sold, they cannot sell the same coins any more and the price will continue rising.

The next halving is where things will really get wild. ;) The inflation rate has finally dropped to reasonable levels. But it is still relatively high.

Price rise is difficult, because people start selling much sooner + you need exponential more money to keep up with price increase.

This means price rise wont happen unless bitcoin becomes more widespread.

From the early this year's price action, I think the bitcoin will trade below $800 for a few months, then it will rise 60%.

I still do not understand why people are still waiting for a miracle to so high price increase. We have seen at halving. We did not make $1000 this time. Be realistic and the price above 600$ is good for me.

No, but the buyer could. And his buyer could. And so on and so on.

If the buyer sells at loss, he cannot continue for ever (he is out of business at some point). If he sells at profit, the coins get redistributed to new stronger hands.

Everything can happen, in just only 1 day. It can go up like a rocket or down like an airplane crashing .  so stay tuned and be ready.

1. If the buyer sells at a loss, it means he doesn't want to sell at a bigger loss. See all failed alt coins; see DAO; See Beanie Babies.
If your reasoning is sound, it should work for those too.
The buyer doesn't need to "continue for ever (he is out of business at some point)." He has unloaded his failed investment, minimized his losses, now it's the next guy's problem.

2. If the buyer sells for the same amount that he bought it for, it's called "using Bitcoin as money, as intended by Satoshi."

Well yes, but the overal sentiment is to look towards a longer period of time. For me that period currently is 3.-5 months.
And it this time the price should go up where we are now.

thats true, in my opinion the price grows really fast usually and can jump to a new all time high in just a week, i think we will need to wait only a month till another big growth

if the past is any indication (just like 2012's halving) the same thing will happen this time too. there will be a lot of naysayers talking against bitcoin and miners but after a while the real effects of halving will start to show themselves.

i think that we might need to wait for a few months in order for price to grow right now, but i guess anything can happen with it

9000$ is completely impossible within one year time, i can't understand dutch and what that guys have write down. But i am not seeing any reason that can support price to reach 9000$ within comming septempber.

Yes, as long as there is demand because even the lowest inflation without demand would not have much impact on the price.

thats true, in my opinion the price of the bitcoin is going to grow a lot in the near future because of the halving that happened a few days back, i hope im right about it

Well according to my common sense i think the price will increase fast because our supply is half into 12.5 btc and i think the movement of the price of bitcoin is fast because our supply is low.. this is my speculation but anytime it can be change..

Yes man 9000$ (nine thousand), I saw that from some technical analysis. I don't take it seriously, just discusing. But man if somebody sells somebody is buying at the same time, dont they? :)

price will start surging about one month after COIN ETF is approved, which could be at any time during the next four months, but not later than the end of November, in my opinion.
For those who thinks that $1000 is some kind of a barrier, GBTC (which is basically 1/10 of btc) is already trading at $1200-1300 effective btc price equivalent, essentially becoming a forward looking indicator.

I don't think that there will be any price increases for another few weeks, but in a few months I think we will be experience large pumps.
Bitcoin after all, has lots of potential.
It just needs something that can boost its potential in the short term, a little bit.

Sorry to opposed that guy IMO that is not analysis that is more on dreaming. Why we are opposing those who say a price like this? dont we want a price like this?. Of course we want, we are just more on being realistic rather than dreaming.

Cant help but think the Dutch guy must have meant $900, i can see that as possibly achievable this year if things went well. Im still under the opinion that the price will rise slightly in the coming months once miners notice the loss they are making from mining less bitcoins they will be forced to sell off their bitcoins at a higher rate in order to maintain profits. How much higher it will go is hard to say though, not too much i would think.

"professional" technical analysis is like professional astrology.

It will take a while anyway before we see any movement relating directly to the halving if anything at all, the price has been around this mark for a while now and is quite steady so perhaps this is the best we will see for the year? 

I think the price will be around the current level for the next 2 to 3 months, then it will rise to $900.
