Paying bills is very tiresome. Aside from travelling to the nearest station to pay for your bills you also have to pay for your fare. Sometimes when you are very busy and you cannot leave your office or your home you are wishing that there will be a new technology that allows you to pay your bills without going out from your house and leaving your office.

In the Philippines bitcoin has made the life of Pinoys more comfortable. Using bitcoin while at home or at work with just a click on your mobile phones or smartphones you can pay your bills. There are sites in the Philippines that allows you to do that, but is there anything like that in other countries?

You can pay your bills with the internet banking if you have a bank account.

But might be more problematic, and sometimes bank accounts are hacked online

The main issues here is Security. This is some of the hindrances people using online payment. For me, Its convenient to pay using bitcoin or other means like credit card. Its time saving,fast and you can do other chores after paying.

I don't think I've left the house to pay a bill in years.  Everything now can be done online.  I live in Canada - the country that has always been great. 

Just use direct debit to pay your bills. This is pretty much the same as online banking, except you don't even need to worry about sending the money anymore. The bank will know when you need to pay your bills.

However, in Australia there is already a service called "Living room of satoshi", and allows you to pay your bills in BTC.

Im living in the Philippines and I am using that app that you mentioned. I would like to use that feature paying bills using bitcoin without leaving my home but I am in doubt, there are many questions bugging me. What if it will not be forwarded to the billing company? What if the payment made will be delayed? With that in mind I am not using that app. BUt I am looking forward to make a try, just to test how efficient it is.

I am using bitcoin  to pay mobile bills , It is an great added advantage on the bitcoin we can pay bills  as and when required .
Paying bills physically at the center i.e offline is very difficult task and need to stand for long time on queue to pay the bills , where as online transaction with bitcoin made me things easier :)

In my country it is already there and it is very helpful to me in the face of a flurry that cannot be abandoned or are in condition was squeezed. Indeed bitcoin is a technology that is very helpful and it is very beneficial to our time now and in the future

It feels really good that finally there are a lot company starting to accept bitcoin, i ussually pay my phone bill using bitcoin but the price is slightly more expensive than usual but its still great

Jesus people we can already pay our bills online with debit or credit cards or at an ATM machine without entering the bank etc. and it's not like Bitcoin is the holy grail of paying bills online or the reinventing of hot water. People who have had the need to pay for things online without leaving their offices have been doing that for a long time before Bitcoin has ever existed  ;D Bitcoin is very cool and all that jazz but it's not like there haven't been other alternatives before.

Everyone wish to pay from home, but possibly everywhere we doesn't have the access to do it. Only very few stores and service providers were involved into direct acceptance of bitcoin. For this reason most users were now using bank transfer, credit and debit cards for paying bills.

well i am already doing so. but still i wish to do so using bitcoin. but the problem is that here in our area most of the banks are owned by government or semi government therefore do not accept in banks. but still i am hopefull that a time will come when they will accept bitcoin in banks.

I think your banks will still not accept bitcoin even if they are independent and private, as banks do not like to support a currency with which they have the fear that they will lose much of their services and in return their income from that services.

Haha good point, everyone here wishes to make use of Bitcoin while such can really be done without the need of crypto. Yes we can pay bills without leaving our homes AND without using bitcoin. Good addition though for crypto to be added as such in different countries.

yes i want to like to pay bills using bitcoin while staying at home but bitcoin technology is not advance in my country, if bitcoin technology get advance in my country and the government adopt it for their banks then it will happen.

In my humble opinion this is one of the few things having a lot of the money actually can fix.

Yes i like pay bill using bitcoin when stay at  home but some of bills is like Pulse and but for another else i can't do it. Maybe it will happen couple years later when bitcoin becomes famous more than today.

In Europe we have Cashila (http://www.cashila.com) which works basically as a bitcoin "bank account".
You can deposit funds with bitcoin or euro and pay bills / send money to anyone in Europe. You can receive money from others as well - with bitcoin or euro.

It's a cool service and the only I know which has a banking license to do bitcoin to euro transfers.

Cool that is good to know, i am a miner in the UK and would love to be able to pay my electricity bill in any crypto coin.
My electricity provider takes euros as well as british pounds so Cashila may be the way forward for me.

Unfortunately no way to pay bills from home here. I don't see internet, phone, water, gas, electricity companies, etc accepting Bitcoin so soon. Meanwhile I can just pay from home relying on third parties... :(

Is there actually some country where they accept bitcoin payments everywhere? i mean it is obvious that not everybody "accepts" btc payments,but i mean that bigger companies which are providing gas,electricity and water probably dont feel like getting bitcoins instead of fiat currency.
Lol i would like to pay for heating on internet with bitcoins i made online,it would be much easier,but it won't happen.
Maybe in the future,after a long time we may see something close to it.

I think i will continue to pay cash at the post office every 90 days for the time being.  That is unless i can get my electricity provider to sign up to Cashila, then they can pay the fiat fees.  I can sell my mined coins to friends for hard cash and give them better rates than an exchange and then pay my bill cash.  It's nice to get out too... I might meet more customers for my coins while i'm walking to the post office.  :)

Yes I want, but our technology is not that much advanced so in our country it will take dozens of years to establish that means, But I hope that it will happen as our government is not against bitcoin they only have issue with its anonymity.

yeah just like me if you want to use bitcoin to pay for home needs like paying electricity, water, subscription television and so on, you have to use a third party. in my country many third-party sites that provide services to pay for everyday purposes. they receive a lot of payment methods including bitcoin

Its already happened now by using online wallet like coins.ph of course we want to used bitcoin for paying bills we do not need to go further and we're not interrupted.  Paying using bitcoin is more helpful now.

Absolutely yes this is one of the thing that i like in bitcoin that i can pay my bills anywhere i am and it is very fast to confirm the transaction. And i am looking forward that bitcoin will be accepted in many stores in my country.

I have been paying my bills using Bitcoin in coins.ph every month. Yeah i do  like it. It save time for me also it is very convenient for me. The transaction is very smooth. If it is your first time fill out the required information, But if not just click your past transaction and it is done.

Yes what you said is true but you are living in a place where banks are near. The place where I live in is 43 kilometers away from the bank. Aside from the distance you need to pass rough roads to get to the terminal station where you can ride a van to travel to the city. The difference between you and me is I produce bitcoin from online jobs and pay my bills while you go to the bank deposit some amount to your debit card to pay your bills. Living in the outskirts in the third world country is hard thats why bitcoin is much better than debit cards.

I also want it to be. where we have an easy to use bitcoin as a payment method I think the key is the government. the current government in my country provide legislation to be careful with online currency although not directly prohibit bitcoin. if the government at least recognize bitcoin as a currency option. I'm sure a lot of merchants will accept bitcoin

Daily the market of BTC is increasing.... In past years nobody knew about BTC but after a certain time people are using BTC and now they are using for payment.. I think after some year you will be able to buy and sell anything through BTC even the internet bills there :)

sometimes when I pay all the bills we were too tired .in the house I want to pay my bills while I'm at home . and i want to pay to less effort when in my home immediately . and I wish i want to use bitcoin to pay the bills at home .

Check out BitWa.la in Europe. It is very easy to pay your bills via SEPA. I've even paid for speeding camera tickets with bitcoins.

I use to use bitcoin to do my mobile recharge, DTH recharge and DATA CARD recharge through bitcoins , but still their is no site which supports bills payment for electricity, or other bills , will really enjoy if all services are offered online through bitcoin payment option.

I cannot even pay my bills with Bitcoin it is not possible and I do not think that it ever is going to be possible.
It will be to much trouble to be able to pay with Bitcoin but I do not really care that much as long as I can pay the way I am paying right now.

I would have convert more money to bitcoin and that would be an additional step I do not see to be necessary.

Yeah, it's very tiring but that rules it does not apply to me... because in my environment there are officers comes into my home to take bills for a month. and I never needs to release my energy and that's way is greatly save for me. but there are some site offers that's to pay bills on them.

I really like to pay bills using bitcoin online and just stay home.  Who of us want to experience the hardship of getting in line and wait for one or two hours until your number is called.  It isn't funny when you have to fall in line outside the paying building at 10 am - 12 pm where u stand under the heat of the sun.    Of course no one LOL.

haha, i live in a third world country with shitty internet speed but even i don't remember the last time i went to a bank to pay the bills, maybe it was like 15-20 years ago.
now i do it with internet banking easily.

and to answer OP, yes i like doing it with bitcoin but not at this point since it is not gonna cost me anything to pay it with fiat (my bank account) and spending bitcoin on this means losing on the profit of my investment! maybe in a couple of years.

I think that whole idea behind Bitcoin project is exactly that :)
Of course, it will take a lot time until Bitcoin becomes legal alternative currency we can use for paying any bills, offline or online.
Right now, in my country, I can just pay for some digital staff and it's all.
Hopefully, soon we will be able to pay for more services and goods with Bitcoin.

I wouldn't mind being able to pay bills and cover my other expenses just by sitting at home and earning Bitcoin, but I personally hate just sitting in my house for long periods of time because it feels like I'm missing an insane amount of things in the outside world, be them important or not. Just sitting around in my house, even if I'm making a lot of money, just doesn't feel ideal for me.

that bitcoin will do the rest for us not only paying the bills but almost all the things that can be process to the can be done also by using bitcoin we just have to work for it to happen.

i think it doesnt mean that you will stay at home and will never go out from your house. its mean that you can pay your bill from any where, either you are at home or out our our city or on a pecnic spot and you suddenly remind that you have not paid the bill and its the last day to pay it. then you do not need to go to your city or bank and pay the bill there, you will be able to pay your bill directly from the place where you are.

I use my phone so little that I could use my modest online earning to pay for it entierly  :D

you people are so lucky that you can pay your bill and also do shopping using bitcoin. unfortunately we have no such facilities. but i can hope that a time will come when we will also use bitcoin in your daily life like you people.

I am also from the philippines and yeah it is really a big help for me i was able to pay my network provider at home are in any place i was buy a load and purchase steam wallet code it was just amazing

Yes, every person needs convenience in our everyday living,paying bills is such a hassle when it's too far away from your home and have a long traffic jam. With some apps that uses Bitcoin in using to pay bills even you're staying at home would be a big help and giv more convenient to our everyday lives.

in the philippines sir there is a company that is promoting bitcoin allows us user to use our bitcoin wallet from their site to pay bills buy loads shop online buy steam garena and mol points.

well to be honest i have never tried doing that so i cannot say that i like it or not though i should definitely check that if it is possible to do that in my country because i would definitely save a lot of time

As of now only paying electricity bills i experience in coins ph never tried other to pay online.. but maybe in the future if we are use some of their list..
But pinoy are lucky that we know about bitcoin because we have a legit company that made this site..

I am also one of those lucky people who ar able to pay their bills with bitcoin. in my country we have http://paybill.io which provide use that feature to pay bills.

I think you should use you debit card to pay all your bills and use bitcoin for future savings. Bitcoin has a huge potential to go up an uncharted territory. Now its up to you whether you want to spend your fortune for paying silly bills or not.

Who will not enjoy the comfort of home while paying his bills with bitcoin?  Well certainly it's comfortable and i wont exchange it to trouble of going to the payment centers and falling in line.  Standing for couples of minute and going back home.  It is saves me more/ ( sorry i don't have any credit card or visa card nor bank account to pay it online :D)

Paying my bills online is very convenient. Paying them online automatically is even more convenient. However, right now I would rather pay my all my bills with fiat and hodl onto my bitcoins.

I think you are talking coins.ph they really had these services and it's the first time in the Philippines although  I have not yet used their service but I'm sure that their service is good and worth trying..

In in philippines we use our coin's wallet or coins.ph to pay our bills or monthly bills we also use it to buy some random staff and i use this to make a fast transaction so that im not able to go in bank to pay my bills and  i think some country don't use or it's obvious that not everybody accepting bitcoin payments

Yes i like paying bills using bitcoins while staying at home, it's easy and simple method, but the problem in some cases we can't use BTC for this reason as bitcoin isn't supported as payment processor

hmm, to be honest I can't decide if I want to pay my bills with bitcoin or not. and don't get me wrong I love spending bitcoin but I don't really see the point of paying the bills using bitcoin because I am currently using my bank card to pay the bills and it is super easy and I do it directly through the bank website safe and sound and with no fee. but to pay the bills using bitcoin I would have to go through a third party service which I never like and will always be risky and I would have to pay fees for transaction and for that third party service probably!

but to me i will certainly want to pay my bill in bitcoin while setting at home and watching cricket match. it will be more convenient for me and i think every one will think so. but i think it will take some time to provide such facilities.

yes i would like to do that if suppose there but as long as my government can't control bitcoin users they will not allow that because paying bills using bitcoin will automatically not pay taxes and my government will be forcibly shut the Companies who not paying taxes for them and that's why these options aren't available in my country

But two things. First, paying by BTC would have zero advantage for me. There is no, reason because of the additional cost for one, to acquire BTC to pay bills. Second, nobody that I pay bills to accepts BTC.

By the way, I will not go out and pay some third party, and their fees, so that they can then pay the bill with BTC. Oh, and the technology already exists to do this. So, it would not be new technology.

hmm paying bills with bitcoin is a great concept in my opinion and i would like to do it, but in canada no business really accepts bill payments with bitcoins. I think the price volatility of bitcoin doesnt seem very appealing to the businesses.  :-\

Bitcoins aren't widely used in different countries so, it is not possible to pay the bills using bitcoins. Most of the corporations don't accept bitcoins. And in many cases countries do not allow the bitcoin transaction due to tax problems.

Paying bills with bills with bitcoin is a good idea. That way bitcoin can be more known by more people.
It's more convenient to pay bills online, because we don't need to go to payment point to pay our bills.
Also for people who earn bitcoin for free, they can pay their bills with bitcoin and can save up their money.

Saaaaaaaaaaay what?  I don't think I've paid a bill at any physical location since I was a child 30 years ago doing it for my parents.  I didn't realize that was still done anywhere in the world, and I mean no offense.  But yeah if you could use bitcoin to get past crap like that it'd be golden.  Unfortunately if the Philippines is still doing business like that I don't think you're going to be able to pay any bill with bitcoin anytime soon.  Could be wrong.

I have to say that i have never payed bills this way.
But im considering it,it seems like a great way to just pay them,i would do this really quick thanks to bitcoin,and if i still earn money in btc it can be more comfortable for me.

I think bitcoin is more appropriate to invest, and pay bills with bitcoin be ridiculous in my opinion because there is still a fiat that can be used instead of bitcoin. Unless you've invested all fiat along the savings to bitcoin then this could be an option: D

Yes I did it to pay a bill of goods that I bought from an online store that accepts bitcoin as nothing else I could do with bitcoin than that maybe sometimes i top up my mobille phone number,trading and it all what i do when i was stay at home.

yess.. here in philippines. we use coins.ph wallet in paying bills. they give a rebate when you pay bills here. so that i use that frequently and hussle free. i dont need to line in the counter on paying bills

I do all my bills through paying in the bank online so it isn't too cumbersome for me. I do though sometimes exchange bitcoin for fiat, then I pay my bills indirectly with bitcoin because I earn a little money in BTC.

I can pay my bills automatically with my online bank account.It`s very convenient.

The Governments should allow us to pay taxes using bitcoin.

Here in Philippines I do pay some of my bills using bitcoins while staying at home. It is more convenient since I don't need to fall in line and get out of my house to pay a bill, Since I can do it in my bitcoin web wallet.  ;D Aside from it, it saves money since bitcoin can be bought for a low price or can be earned for free then use it to pay bills, that way I minimize my expenses in bills too.

Yeah, it is very special when that could be effected by a means of payment and bitcoin other. But with the new technology, we get the negative impact which is pretty bad. i.e. we will not get new things out there and we'll feel bored when too long inside the House

I am already doing with my coins, there is some online service provider for my country, I am using this service with flexibility and I can pay my bills any time from my home, I am quite sure very soon people from developing countries will have this kind of service which will make their life more easier.

Of course yes! It is more convenient and less hassle. You're just sitting in front of your computer and paying your bills, this is really good. Here in our country, our bitcoin wallet's features are really really good, we can pay for bills like internet, water usage, electricity, tuition fees in universities, we can also load-up our phones using this wallet. And it's really awesome!

I usually use internet banking to pay my bill, but unfortunately, certain time sometimes can not be used as a holiday. so I hope it can use bitcoin to pay bills or other things, so I can still staying at home :)

Yes  ;D in coins.ph here in the philippines you can pay bills , pay tuition fee in universities using bitcoins and buying cellphone load with rebate and you can transfer money to your relatives using bitcoins  ;D

definitely it is an huge help and support for peoples. and It makes things so easy now. if someone could pay his bills and top up his mobile phone from home with bitcoin then there is nothing better then that.
but this is not enough. I believe there will be more feature come and people can order foods from home, can book hotel's rooms, and can buy tickets of airplanes and sports and cinemas.
(these features was already exist before bitcoin, peoples was paid their bills from home by online banking. but of course bitcoin will make them even more easier because we can do most of these things with completely anonymous)

Definitely there are few services that accepts bitcoin to pay bill, but only some countries that accepts bitcoin and is quite popular in the country. For some, like N.Korea, the ban bitcoin usage thus it is practically impossible to pay. Banks are now exploring the potential and benefits of blockchain. Although some major corporates started accepting bitcoin but some internet users still don't know bitcoin.

In the States, unless you are buying travel, food, or clothes, bitcoin isn't so 'accepted here'. If you are going to be paying any real bills, that is, utilities, mortgage or rent, and car and insurance payment, you are out of luck. There are a few services that allow you to pay them in btc, so that they can pay the bills in fiat on your behalf. But they usually charge a service fee; your best bet is conversion to fiat if you are paying a bill.

Yeah I want it, I want bitcoin to establish and to reach to every corner of the world and the government and their institutions allow bitcoinfor their financial matters and so we will be able to pay bills with bitcoin while staying at home.

I think it's a lot simpler to just pay your bills through direct debit, that way you don't have to remember or do anything at the end of the month. The only downside is that you don't have any control since you've authorized the companies to take money directly from your bank account. I've had a few surprises in the past where phone bills turned out to be a lot more than expected.
But it's definitely very nice to have the option to pay your bills from your phone using Bitcoin.

Yes, I agree . when bitcoin can be recognized by the government, the power of bitcoin will be even greater. the online payment system we can perform a variety of payment whatsoever from home. by silence and sitting in front of computer desk. it is very convenient and easy.

Truly that bitcoin does many good things to us. Makes our payment easy and convenient, we do not need to travel or whatsoever just to pay our bills. From this, we can save time and effort and we can just sit down in front of our PC or Laptop. Just 1 click and we're paid. We can still work while paying bills. Great isn't it? And because of this, of course we can save money. The fees are much lower and we have the control in our balance. Not like when paying in the bank, sometimes they get much higher amount than we have to pay.

but i don't like if the government put the taxes on bitcoins , it's so unfair, that's why i love bitcoins because it has no taxes in paying online but you pay from shipping.

Yes, because it is very convenient. You can save some money because you don't have to commute and go to their centers. It is less hassle also when you are busy at work and can't go to pay them directly. Even when you are far away or in a vacation you can pay them easily.

i still need to use cashila and bitbill.eu, i don't know how those things work with taxes, do they declare for you the fact that you pay the bill? it look like you can evade taxes with them

unfortunately I did not get to enjoy it I actually really want to be able to pay my own personal purposes or to pay a subscription of water and electricity using bitcoin but here there are laws for crypto currency so we could not make a new payment method with bitcoin. if you want to do that you have permission to the government and of course you have to pay the bribes

Yeah I would love that because its much more easier to pay through bitcoins and has a lower fee compared to banks. It saves time and effort so why not? I just hope that many countries will recognize bitcoin as a currency already so I can pay whatever kind of bill is it

I like paying bills using Bitcoins while at home such as buy credits , pay the electricity bill and others but in some cases the problem I often encounter online store they have not been using bitcoin payment tool . hope for the future there will be changes for online stores in increasing payments via Bitcoin. .

no they can't,bitcoin can't be controlled by government because it's decentralized,the only way for government to taxing is from merchant,for every transaction with the merchant he'll require you to pay the tax but only for big merchant,but for small merchant,they'll try to avoid government tax

I've purchased mobile credit online using Bitcoin before. And I've to agree with you that with just a few clicks and small fees, it is a good pay to make payment online. I do not have to walk down and buy credits. :).

In wealthy and well developed countries everything can get paid with just a few clicks of your mouse with internet banking. No need to go out of the door or do a lot effort to get something paid. And beside that, most of my bills get paid automatically every month, so I don't have to do it manually.

It would be very convenient to just stay at home paying the bills and save a lot of time. It would be beneficial that the time you spent traveling,queuing and waiting for your turn when you go to certain offices to pay the bills will be spent in other things that can help you in achieving your other goals. Aside from that, some companies offer rebates when you pay using bitcoins.

I use prepaid for my electricity, but ya i am top up my balance to buy fill my prepaid balance with bitcoins, so bitcoin very helpful for me

Well , Does it's using a bitcoin from to pay the bill? I can say never for, this time. Many bills are just only accepted payment with local currency or local balance. but I sure a lot of members in here can pay a bills using bitcoin(They get some money in bitcoin form and exchange that to local currency)

I prefer saving My btc but you can't always pay your bills in person. as you said its too tiresome waiting in line for hours.

Bitcoin doesn't touch anything in my real life; i only use it for online transactions. I prefer my job over earning bitcoins because it's still quite a pain to get bitcoin into fiat then into my bank account. So i just use it the way it is on sites that accept bitcoin.

I've actually already done this about four times now for two months. I was able to pay my electricity and water bills twice with bitcoins.

Yes of course pay bills using bitcoin is very comfortable less hasle because you dont need to go to make fall inline but if you use bitcoin in a minute your bill get paid. Now every utility provider company accepts online payment, so no one needs to go out to pay the bills, You can use this facility and make the payment from the comfort of your home. But paying using bitcoin, is not a good idea according to me as you may be paying a fortune to them because bitcoin has the potential to go way high than the current pricing. Well me too I really enjoying paying bills while I'm athome and good thing that the exchange site I am using are accepting bitcoins. And I am hoping that there are going to a lot of stores that are going to accept bitcoins for real. And because of this I really don't need to go to the physical payment store and going to do some effort for it.

Do you mean the electricity Bills, well in my country I can pay it online because we are using the token system where we have to pay it first before we can use it (just like a voucher). in modern countries you can pay everything automatically via your bank. no hassle here. but there are countries where this isn't as easy. especially when they don't have a bank account, and when they need to walk to a certain place to send the payment to the right company or person. that is in fact a real hassle. in this case bitcoin can help these people out if the company itself accepts bitcoin, or they make use of a service that offers such an option.

It is possible to do in the Bitcoin wallet I'm using but I don't. You can pay for utilities (power & water), internet connection, credit card, insurance fee, tuition fee, all of different establishments. You will have a free 100 php (~2.5$) for every 5 times that you pay bills. All of the bills in our house are paid by my parents and they are being paid in fiat. In addition, the companies in my area isn't listed in the payable bills via Bitcoin.

I think that banks will soon accept bitcoin but of course automatically finds a way that they only received that fiat amount so a third party bitcoin exchange so that they will not be having a problem about bitcoin price fluctation

Yes ofcourse ,unfortunately we have that exchanger which you can do cash in and cashout bitcoins . Have that payment method of electric bills ,water without going outside .its more convienient to use bitcoins and i think more years needed to become officially accepted even by the government .

I am also from the Philippines, and right now, if my parent is asking me to pay their SSS contribution, I am using the exchange too, it's too easy and you won't get tired waiting in line and that won't affect my time in the office...It's a good experience, and I hope it would continue and I hope they would cater more and more..Aside from that I would love it too if they would start to process payments for local online shops where I really love too shop.

Havent tried it yet but its a great offer you dont need to fall in line if your going to pay like electric bill. Instead of wasting time in falling in line you can now have spare time for your friends or family. Who wouldnt want that.

Why are you converting your fiat to bitcoins only so that you can pay your bills? If you buy them and if price falls after that then its a huge loss for you, its better to pay with your earnings in bitcoin or pay directly with fiat.

i do like this idea. However, my local area does not accept bitcoin as payment, and so do the government. BItcoin in my country is being said as something illegal which can easily cause many bad effect to people life. The government try to prevent people from using bitcoin and it makes me desperate. It is not necessary to go anywhere to pay your bills where I live. Many people are still doing it the old way, they are going to a bank or to a post office to pay their bills, but actually everyone has the opportunity to do it online. Unfortunately Bitcoin is not an option here yet.

When I'm busy I'm pay bills using bitcoin its very easy and no hassle no need to go to payment center to pay your bills. If it was possible then it would be awesome because to pay bill with traditional bank system it takes lot of process like OTP verification password, account number and lots of boring stuffs so if it was possible with bitcoin then we could transact in few seconds that too without any hassle.

I prefer to pay our bills online, be it with bitcoin or with my online banking account. The stress-free experience that it gives at the comfort of doing it in your home makes it more worthwhile. I still see long lines of people in bills payment centers and even in power companies. If these people could just have an idea about bitcoin and what it can give them, I am sure we can avoid these long lines and save time for other important things.

That's great! Do you have to convert your coins to your currency before you can pay it? I tried doing this in my country and had to convert my coins first. The problem was that when converting, I had to bow down to the company converting coins to my currency, because of the exchange rate (like foreign exchange). So when exchanging the value of my coins drops by 5-10%, which really sucks, since when I try to earn via bitcoin, this means I didn't really earn anything because of exchanges.

We can buy those other stuffs with cash instead of bitcoin and I think technology nowadays are just making most of us a lazy person.

In my country you cannot even pay your bills with bitcoin which does not bother me much because either way you have to pay.
Maybe that in the near future it will become possible but to me it does not really matter.

Yeah the Philippines has that kind of payment offer. I don't know how they do it but the main wallet of the Philippines has an option to use your bitcoin to pay some company's bills but not all of them. Luckily the government is not strict about Bitcoin yet. But the best thing that would happen is many businesses, shops, food stalls accept bitcoin. If that happens I won't be using my real money as I will save it instead.

That's convenient. But I would not recommend it to everybody when that happens. I don't like sitting in my computer all day while eating some snacks and clicking on the internet. I would like to have some exercise too.

I am also a Filipino like you, Also I agreed that paying bills is totally tiresome, but Thanks to coins.ph which is one of the merchant we had here in our country who accepted bitcoinBTC. I think there is also in the other country who accepted bitcoin to pay there bills online.

You made some point there but I believe the author speaks about how much time you can save an money for transportation if you will just pay your bills while at home. When you saved time you can exercise if you want or do other chores it means you can do more activities than just paying bills.

I have a shift card, so paying bills with Bitcoin is pretty much the exact same process as paying with a bank card normally. With that being said, I generally don't "like" to pay bills, I avoid them as much as possible  ;D

yes that is really feel me good, i already do so, mean in my area i can use bitcoin for only two purposes one is that i use it for recharging my mobile and second is that i use it for paying my bells.

I have a facility to recharge my mobile using bitcoins but as of now I don't see any place from where I can pay my bills as paying online with bitcoins will surely save lot of time and transportation cost.

Although I really like to pay my bills with bitcoin because paying in bitcoin is quite easy and convenient, I don't have to use too much fiat money for these kind of things, I haven't seen any apps or websites or places that allow me to do that. However, there is a coffee shop near my house that seems to accept bitcoin and maybe I would try to pay my coffee with bitcoin  ;D

The usage of bitcoin is limited at a moment and not many countries have an option to use bitcoins for various services and I think it will take long time to use our bitcoins to spend it anywhere.

I love it! Bitcoin really helps me with some of my costs. Usually I am spending it for shopping, but once I could buy even a plane ticket  :) the main thing that I even don't need to go out from my home and those bitcoins that I spend for my costs I made very easy, faucets and commenting for the campaign.

I must say you have to try.  You really have to because you would never want to pay your bills the same way again.  You do not need to go to the actual place and pay your bills.  You also do not need to go on a line and wait for your number to be called.  Just press, click, and send, and voila!  You have paid your bills.

Yeah it is easy and convenient as long as your transaction does not get stucked.  If it encounters error, you need to file support ticket and wait for it until it is resolved.  Because if you fail to fix it, i bet you will get your notice of disconnection from your service provider.



I agree try it at least once and you will be addicted to the service.  You don't need to go out of your house and pay at the payment center,  Well, that is of course if you are not connected to your online banking system.  But if you are then maybe try paying in bitcoin.  At least for experience.

I can pay my bills from home but for those i need a process, contact local buyer, send the coins wait the deposit acess my bank account from home and make the payment, at the moment there is no way to pay directly with bitcoins.

i am used to paying bills and avoiding large queues and i do pay at the comfort of my home but i use internet banking for paying my bills and i am not aware of any services which allow bitcoin as a payment method.

This would be good but not a new thing as we already using online banking to pay our bills. The concept is the same as the online banking but it would be good if you don't have to exchange your bitcoin exchange to pay your bills.

Of course yes, because it is very convenient  and you can also save some money from travelling fares. It will also lessen your tempts to buy something suddenly even if you really don't need it because you won't see them.

I pay all my fiat bills either directly with physical cash for in-person purchases or via wire transfer using internet banking. So there is no real convenience benefit using Bitcoin for the task.
I know the situation might be entirely different in a lot of developing countries where fiat banking services are not available for large parts of the population. So for people in these countries, paying bills can indeed be much more convenient using Bitcoin.

On the other hand, even if I was resident in a country with no reliable access to online banking I doubt that I would use my precious Bitcoin to settle fiat invoices. In my view the improvement in convenience is not worth letting go my Bitcoin to support businesses that accept only fiat and paying an intermediary to make a conversion.

With bitcoins, its just a click away for your payments. No hassle in traffic and queue numbers. Just sit and relax, have a drink, grab your phone and do the payment.

I agree I also want to use what I earn in bitcoin, no need to convert some amount of money, if you don't have bitcoin in your btc wallet then use your fiat directly to pay bills.

I actually, do pay my bills with bitcoins that I earn, but not directly. First, I sell my bitcoins for Paypal (I have funds on paypal from other sources, so in this way I join it) then I transfer money from PayPal to my bank account (Visa Electron card), but since that part of my account is in euros, after that I need to exchange it for my local currency (Dinar) (I have online access to my account so this is not big deal and only takes few seconds) and then I can pay my bills.

I am a really lazy guy and I dont want walking around back and forth to just pay my bills, no. But with bitcoins, i can pay my bills in my computer desk just like giving it to the teller. It is really great and fast! I can watch movies and pay bills at the same time, so easy.

Yes I would love to try to pay bills using bitcoin while at home so that I don't have to fall in line just to pay my bills. Also the travel time and traffic plus parking fees to have to pay. So I will rather used my bitcoin to pay them. The only thing I'm seeing negative here, is that you have to pay your bills early and not to wait for any disconnection notice from the company, otherwise paying it at home is not worth because you need to travel to the office itself to pay the bills to not get disconnected.

That's true, and make sure that do not open your bitcoin wallet in other computers because once you forgot to log it out, some people take advantage to it and they can access your account, so they have the will to do whatever they want in your account or worse hack it.

Electricity cannot be paid with bitcoins

So far, the places that I like to buy things at, don't accept Bitcoin. This means that I must convert my Bitcoin to fiat at an exchange that does so. However, if I ran into the option of buying and paying with Bitcoin, I would use it, except in one case. That I needed a receipt in fiat because of the kind of item I was buying.

Obviously yes that's ine of the reason I convince to use bitcoin and adopt bitcoin in my life because of gives better convinient to use it sending funds and pay bill via online wallet.

I would have love to  make use of Bitcoin in paying my bills but due to the fact that most companies and shop's in my area do not accept bitcoin and other altcoins as a means of payment for goods and services has become a big challenge but we do hope it will become a things of the past some day.

I think it is not possible for my situation but we realise that think is not still available to make the payments are building using the Bitcoin in all the time we don't know how to make it but in future it will definitely possible.

If i could choose i would pay everything with bitcoin. The way things are now, i have to exchange first into fiat using something like localbitcoins, which is annoying to say the least (and localbitcoins fees are too high for small things). Then that goes into the bank, and then you pay the bills using online banking (which is also stressful).

Glad for you that you can pay directly using bitcoin, that would be a dream come true. But the State here made a garbage altcoin that cannot be used even for state owned companies, in-spite of gov propaganda...

And like us, the very first use of bitcoin to you guys would be wire transfers from abroad, which is hundreds of times better than any other method of sending money from abroad back home. Ah the joys of living in impoverished countries...
