When and how you Got your First Dollar in Bitcoins???

I used the Virwox-Paypal way of purchasing my first coins. That was very expensive, but relatively simple for first timers. I switched to a local exchange which gave me much better rate.

Through faucets I got the first dollar in terms of bitcoin. I earned it through the epay.info faucet site. Gradually got moved towards our forum and got enrolled into signature campaign.

Well, I was introduced to bitcoin last May 2015 as far as I remember and started earning through the faucets. That time, faucet rewards were higher and I can even earn 100k Satoshis in a day (take note: I was not doing it full time) but of course it's because the value of bitcoin that time was not as high as that of today. So I got my first dollar on faucets(which I think most starter does, aside from buying and doing some service), and as time passes by, got some dollars in bitcoin through PTC sites too.

First dollar you can easily earned that in free faucet, but i will recommend you in this forum by participating in signature campaign which gives you big amount of dollar in one month.

I think I got my first amount of bitcoin from that old "land of bitcoin" faucet that paid something like 1 sat every 5 seconds.  That was early last year.  And then I used Coinbase to actually buy some, and that was March 2015.  Felt good, like buying a stock.  Too bad I sold what I bought because the price was around $300 at the time.  Ah well.

Actually I have it this year from the app called spark sprofit you just need to predict the flow of market if on your right prediction you will earn points and the points converted to dollar weekly and you can widraw using bitcoin. that's my fre bitcoin I receive before joining this forum and earn to campaign.

Its so easy if you are member of signature campaign with high rank of course and you can make it from service section it just some offers in that thread. And in just  a week you can make dollars.

I bought it with ForumCoin, a virtual forum currency at a forum of the same name... an admin is offering bitcoin for FC at a very decent rate as well, I've purchased more than $25 worth of BTC from him as of yet.

I get the first dollar is easy to play the faucet. playing faucet is very easy because we can get for free. it is the first step for those who are new to bitcoin.

I started getting bitcoin last month. I've been working with www.bitcoinget.com which refers you to a site called crowdflower. It pays you for doing simple tasks online and makes you a heck of a lot more than faucets.  So far I've acqired 0.04 BTC which right now is almost $30 worth.

im never get dollar because my local currency is not dollar, but if you ask when you first sell your bitcoin to dollar, i will choose C-cex.com , it's altcoin marketplace, but i can trade my bitcoin to dollar, anyway usually im use huobi for bitcoin fiat trade :)

Same here, I started from faucet tọo, last December 2015. I wonder if its true and made I trỵ. I am convinced when I can reload/to-pup my mobilẹ from satoshi earn from faucets, Some btc are invested in HYIP's lol to bad, I lost and didn't recover some of my satoshis.Then as searching on bitcoin resources online, I got into this sitẹ. I register to read until I discover the signature campaign, and from the forum itself I learned trading.  

it was around two years ago when i first started using bitcoin. the first time was getting it from faucets only and since that is going to take forever i gave it up and moved on to better things.

I really start from a scratch getting my satoshi bit by bit from faucet and after i join this forum i am looking for giveaway and join competition that is how i got my bitcoin

i get my first bitcoin from Facebook where one of my miner friend presented me a pack of bitcoin actually that was 0.01btc+ and i lost them at gambling  :'( but at-least i got some experience at newbie stage.

I did the exact same thing, I tried to empty some faucets just to get my hands on some initial bitcoin so i could see what it was like just to get some in my wallet but they all had a minimum payout which i couldnt seem to reach for some reason so i opted for buying second lifes linden dollars and then converting those to bitcoin all done  through paypal. If i remember right it took a few days to withdraw though and it cost a lot more than buying off an exchange.

I got my first bitcoins from faucet.bitcoin.st, then after that, someone borrowed my bitcointalk account for 0.1 BTC. That was 2013 I think. I bought my first Raspberry Pi from this forum (klintay) using those BTC.

Now, I get them through sig campaigns. I also tried Virwox, but got slammed with fees (Paid 100 EUR, got 80 EUR in BTC).

Mee to got my first bitcoins trough faucets like freebitco.in and moonbit and some others as well.That costed me a lot of work just to collect my 1 btc hours spending on faucets and rotaters.But yes they gave me my first 1$ in btc

I got my first bitcoin with captcha typing work on Megatypers. I was working on megatypers from 3 years but that time they wasn't supported bitcoin. they implement bitcoin last year and then I changed my payment from payza to bitcoin.
before that I tried hard to get 1 dollar in bitcoin but unfortunately I wasn't able to do this. but right now, thanks to god I am earning well, by trading and other services.

how many times you took for getting a $ though faucets? I used faucets for months but didn't made a single dollar.

i got my first Dollar in bitcoin in this forum through the signature campaign and i think maximum people get many dollars through the signature campaign member of this forum .

I get the first dollar of the faucet, so it was very easy to obtain, and yeah get the maximum dollar from stellar giveaway.

You can get your first dollar from
1 . Buy from your flat , that's easy just buy 1$ bitcoin from trusted seller and you can get your $1 easily.
2. Steal $1 from somewhere ..-_-?
3. Go through faucet , it takes more time but it's worth a while.
4. Sell your services , it's easy one if you have any programming and editing skill.

I got my first dollar in bitcoin from signature campaign is bitcointalk.I also tried faucets but that was a waste for me.With signature campaign to earn 1$ doesn’t take much time and I was really happy to get my first bitcoin dollar.

Same here, when I first got into Bitcoin in late 2013, I was a little wary to use my card to purchase Bitcoin, it took some searching but in the end I found that I could use PayPal on Virwox. Buying my first Bitcoin there and later receiving it to my freshly downloaded MultiBit wallet was very exciting indeed  :D but they do have outrageous fees. I used their services more than 10 times before I started buying from Circle.

I furied up my 2x gaming GPU back in 2012 mined some LTC & sell it for bitcoin ! missing that times !  :'(

i bought it. my first Dollar equivalant that is. because i started earning bitcoin through using faucets but since that took forever i gave it up and instead i bought a portion of bitcoin back when the price was $250 and kept it ever since.
and now i am adding to it with signature campaign payments and profit from trading.

I was doing faucets like MoonBitcoin, BitcoinZebra, Freebitcoin and others like them. It took me 2 months to get my first Dollar in Bitcoins. It was hell I must say. People starting with Bitcoin today can do the job much quicker.

My first bitcoin dollars were from a coupon from BTC4Pay of a €50 value, at that time BTC was at €220/BTC.

Mine was from the faucet for which i did very hard work solving numbers of captchas :D but now a days it doesn't seems so profitable to me as being more mature with bitcoin ;)

I got my first dollar in Bitcoin about 3 months ago. I got it by doing multiple easy services here, in the service section of the forum. I was doing like, share and comment services and found some deals where I just need to search something and get a small amount of Bitcoins. That's how I got my first dollar, I'm not buying Bitcoins so I have to get it trough services and selling digital goods.

I first earn my first dollar in Bitcoin 2nd half of 2014.  I started reading about cryptocurrency late 1st quarter.  I first accumulate altcoins from giveaways then encash them after 3 months of accumulation. I gathered around 0.3 BTC that time :D

Like many other i got my first bits from faucetss also and bit gambling.I claimed some at freebitco and their auto bet feature slowly i reached 1$ btc but also after that i lost them in auto betting...But that was my first Earning in bitcoins

I think my first $1 or actually it was $5 was send to me from a friend to showcase Bitcoin's feature and ease of use. I then went out and got into mining and trading and faucets and HYIP's and Ponzi's and some gambling to get the rest. I had to test them all, oh did I leave out Cloudmining and gaming and sig campaigns? ^smile^

I started using bitcoin late last year and i got my very first dollar through faucets. since i was just starting, im very patient and excited to try things although in faucets you can only earn a bit but that makes me happy.

My first dollar through faucetbox faucet, then I transfer directly to blockchain wallet provider, from faucetbox I only get $ 6 off the tap. The first thing that impressed me. and then I learned in bitcoin this forum to join the signature campaign .. :D

I haven't got any whole bitcoin yet, but satoshis, yes, I got it when I first started in bitcoin and I was so happy those days that I got few satoshis from moonbitcoin and other faucets in land of bitcoin and soon in faucetbox... My first withdrew was 15 dollars and it took me around 3 months... The price that time was not even half of the price right now...  :)

I got my first dollar bitcoin in some cloud mining site before I don't remember the name already, its around February this year and don't know yet bitcointalk in that time and only cloud mining site and faucet is only my source that time, but things change I've never go back again in cloud mining sites this time.

I got something like $0.03-$0.30 from faucets and everything before I started on this forum, and I'm glad I did get into this.

Selling what little BitCoin I was able to mine with the equipment I had at the time and selling many months later.

ROI for mining BTC requires a few thousand dollars now and a willingness to mine for the duration without any likely dividend.

Most people are probably going to say faucets and that's probably still how most people will come but their first coins.

I have got money not Dollar (it is different currency at my country) from trading altcoins although i did'nt anything about trading and how is work, it was just lucky and i was successful withdrawal capital and profit. But after that i have loose again and again because of wrong analysis and way of trading.

I earn and got my first dollar in bitcoins by claiming on faucets i keep awake all day and night almost 24hrs just to claim every hour especially at night .i work for it for about 3 weeks i think but i do faucet claiming more than 1month knowing just to claim then invest it in a cloudmining sites and HYIPS sites.

Wow, all of the people above me is got their dollar from alt coin and bitcoin and that so amazing, at the same time is also bumping... :P The different person and the different statement will appear too.

like everybody in here i got my first coins through faucets and still i am earning bits and pieces from it when i get time,just accumilating and used to withdraw at the end of the month and now i am enrolled in signature campaign and getting some bits from here too.

I got half a dollar through faucets but it took unnecessarily long. At that time I didn't have a bitcointalk account as I wasn't aware that you could make money through sig campaigns and services. When I did eventually make an account, I crossed 1$ for the first time. Now that was a good feeling. 😀

Thru faucets-sites im earning there for just 1 month and i gain my first dollar bitcoins in this internet- and im thinking if how i withdraw it jeje but if i withdraw that how and i dont know how to do with that bitcoin and i learn more about bitcoin and now how can i earn more bitcoin

I think a lot of us got our first bitcoins from faucet payments and I think it is because a lot of us were introduced to bitcoin through faucets.

I have personally started using bitcoin because I saw someone talking about this faucet that had a chance of winning $200 and also had the option to gamble dice games. and I started using it because I though I can try my luck there but never were lucky at all :D

anyways I got deeper into bitcoin stopped using faucets soon,, and instead I started buying bitcoin and got into trading.

Most users earn bitcoin through faucets at the beginning of learning and knowing about bitcoin. Likewise earned my first earning from faucets. Slowly moved towards signature campaign and grew my rank which helped to earn a better amount.

I've bought some bitcoins for my first start here to buy some accounts that have potential for FM Account and to do some trading's too. You can do some other things about your first bitcoin here in bitcointalk you can do gambling and so on.

That's why I really regret about not entertaining bitcoin before when I first heard of it!
If I had started these faucets (that were giving dust today) before, I would have made a lot.

If I recall correctly, I didn't actually do faucet. I tried doing it, yes. But it didn't come to the point that I was able to withdraw my coins from faucetbox. I think I got my first one dollar worth of Bitcoin by depositing some money. That's basically how I started, I didn't had the time to spend on faucets since it takes a lot of time to load the page and takes all my time away.

Virwox brings me nostalgic memories. It was form the first time I ever bought Bitcoin too. The memory is a bit bitter because I still remember how much of a scam it was. The fee was the highest I have ever seen. And I had to pay fee times since you have to use the stupid second life dollars.

My first encounter with Bitcoin happened many years ago. I started by collecting some free Bitcoin from faucets. Then, they give out a lot of free Bitcoin because the price of Bitcoin is only around 70 USD. I quit a few weeks later because I only made ten cents after filling in a lot of captcha.

I came back to the world of Bitcoin again a few months later. Around the time where Bitcoin reaches it peak - 1000 USD per coin. I checked my wallet (phew, I did not delete it away!), and I see my balance of 1 USD!

Today, if these Bitcoin is still in my wallet, it would worth around 60 cents.

Most people got their first bitcoin through faucet including myself, however i dont suggest those who new in bitcoin to get their first bitcoin from faucet due to the faucet's rate nowdays it's too low,it's better to purchase it, there's so many popullar faucets site have disappeared, the only one that i knew still exist is freebitcoin but i heard that they have decrease their rate.

Through typing captchas!  I have no idea about bitcoin but the megatyper site states that payout is faster if I will set my payment option to btc.  That was the first time I have encounter bitcoin.  And then after a week I only generate 1.5 us dollar.  But I was really happy at that time.  I am convinced that there is really money on online.

First time i have got bitcoins from faucets site, then i was learning about bitcoin,cloud mining and trading altcoins on local comunity. After couple weeks, i have made deposit about $5 in market and tried trading altcoins on poloniex until right now.

If my memory serves me right, I think I earned my first dollar worth of bitcoin by solving captchas, literally hundreds of them. It was time consuming but it was something that's not really hard to do. That's what I got for solving 1000 captchas that took me about 4 hours to complete. Those were the days when I had a lot of down time.

I got mine from a Bitcoin exchange called gocelery that gave away Bitcoins for free for any new user who joined their wallet services. It was an easy way to earn since they also provided me some percentage when I shared my referrals among my friends. Slowly, later I started earning Bitcoins from certain giveaways and selling digital games for Bitcoins.

I got my first dollar through faucets. I joined a PTC site and while viewing the advertisements last April 2016, an advertisement about bitcoin appeared and then I got curious with it and then I discovered that I can earn it for free. I was fascinated with it and then learned that its not that much that they are giving for free of course but nevertheless its free so I grab the opportunity. I did some further research about it and then knew that there's much more ways to earn bitcoin so here I am in this site now earning bitcoin.

Hello and welcome,first of all I would like to warn you about revshares,hyips,cloud mining etc. most of these sites are ponzi scams and there is a high chance that you will lose your money there.

I got my first dollar through a signature campaign I was a part of a long time ago, right now I'm just rolling with whatever I do and continuing to post on the board and try to be constructive as much as possible.

I'm glad to see activity has picked up considerably since mid-2015, and there are a lot of people posting now. Good for more opinions.

My first dollar earned on bitcoin is from faucets and i could really say that it really takes me so long in able to accumulate enough satoshis just to cash out it and thats the story on my first earned money on bitcoin form but after that when my knowledge increases it leads me here on this forum which i saw lots of ways to earn even more bitcoins compare into the faucet itself.

My first dollar was from PrimeDice. I claimed the faucet and after a few minutes I was able to hit a high roll and won like $3. It was insane for me, because it was right when that $1k price hype took place (2013). Now I got hundreds of dollars, and about $60 are from PrimeDice winnings. :D

i just recently discovered bitcoin, relatively a month or so. I was into PTC sites first and I was tired of all the clicking because of all the timers and captchas that needed to done. I haven't earned even a dollar on it because it was not as good as it is for my time. Then I stumbled upon faucet sites, and I thought it was okay then when I discovered this forum, I learned here that it is a waste of time (and now I know it really is) and I still haven't got my dollar. Then I saw the typing captcha site, megatypers, and somehow I managed to earn my hard earned bitcoin worth of $1.8. Not bad for a start but still is tiring. I think it's better than PTC sites and faucets.

I got my first dollar with some applications on my smartphone into my wallet, it's taken me some time, but I managed to get it. In the beginning, I was very skeptical, but I keep the focus and waited patiently to get paid, now this is history.

You have some good way to make some satochi around, you need to never give up and believe you can have the 1$ into your wallet.

I got my first bitcoin when I was doing data encoding. Then I switch to faucets which I believe I make for about 0.001 BTC and I was very happy for that. Soon I discovered XAPO Games which makes my earnings a bit higher. I think I made 0.005 BTC for that. Then I invest in Doubling Sites (Which is a Scam Site, I'd highly recommend NOT to invest to these sites) making it 0.01 BTC. After like a week I discovered Bitsler (a gambling site) which blooms my earnings. I make 0.03/ day because Im lucky with their games and that's why I am hooked in Bitcoin. Until I started trading, doing some Signature Campaigns and, etc...

People still say Bitcoin faucets are a waste of time, but it is the spark that ignites the interest and this leads to adoption. People see free

money and micro payments and grasp the technology. Yes, some people might get the wrong idea, when they realize how little "Bitcoin" you

get for your effort, but they still get exposed to the technology... which is a good thing.  ;D

I bought my first bitcoin back in 2013 from a seller on eBay.  it was on 0.01 i think i bought and i sent it to multibit wallet that i had on a laptop, guess what i lost it......  :o  dont know what i did with it, delted the wallet or sumthin and now i cant even access the laptop.

I believe it was writing an article a while ago, that's how I earned my first 5$ in bitcoin. Also, there were a lot of faucet usage and signature campaign and what not, but as much as I remember it was the article writing.


Because they generally are, the amount of btc earned isn't worth the time and work you put into it. Yes, if you consider that to be the primary role of faucets, than yes, faucets are not completely useless, they can provide the first feel of earning bitcoins, but besides that, if you see it for what they are created for and that's the "Earning bitcoins" than faucets are completely useless by that question.

You may be able to recover it if you have physical access to your Laptop, you can try pulling out the HDD/SSD and reading it from another computer, if you can't find it try recovering data with some tools.

i got my first dollar from facebook. one of my kiner friend donated me some dollars at that time i was a faucetear so it was pritter huge amount for me but now its like my weekly income. its shows how time changes with the experiance

My first dollar in bitcoin was on faucets then later rebshare sites and payverts I could withdraw bitcoin.
Also I went to a micro job site and I got skill that I sold here for bitcoins.

Well my first dollar i got from my first campaign i was really happy because i was a member then i didn't really know what to do when i was a newbie so i just posted and posted i thought when you post you can get money but still i didn't have it but until my friend teach me how to have money he manage to give me some tips on campaign and such and thats when i got my first dollar on a campaign that i applied and no i really want to have more dollars but many campaign denied me :'(

Where did you get the patience to earn a dollar from faucets? also, when was that? It took me a week to accumulate 1 dollar from faucets combined...

I used to spend a lot of time using faucets like freebitcoin hoping to get one of the big prizes and so i got my first dollar in bitcoins in that way... if I think at it I still feel a bit stupid  ;D
The next ones came majorly by advertising on social medias like Facebook  ;D
