They are awarded to your in-game balance instantly upon the referred player joining. You will be given two links. You can use either one. Send this link to anyone you like. When they visit the website their IP will be stored in a database. If they join the game, the server first check if it is their first time logging in, and then checks if their IP matches one in the referral database.
