Hello all. Can anyone advice me how to get rid of bitcoins anonymously? I know that there are markets, and I want to sell BTC but not to my bank account, but anonymously. Thank you

Check out localbitcoins, they have a peer to peer option that is virtually anonymous. Also, look at Craigslist, but be safe; and look at bitcoin meet ups, people are always willing to trade there.

you can try exchanging your bits for paypal, neteller or skrill . it can help you stay anonymous and will not leak your bank details to any third party. but please note that paypal may limit your account if they find you doing such activity. but still many do it and so you can. neteller dont have such policies i think. and i dont know about skrill much. you can try poloniex, localbitcoin, etc. to sell your bits for paypal, neteller, skrill.

I think it has certain limitations as you can make any transaction with bitcoin or any altcoin is can be done anonymously. But when you trade Bitcoins against fiat currency, at that time its responsibility of exchanger to keep all details of user who is trading altcoins with them for security purpose.

In such case you can just only sell bitcoin to exchanger to get them in fiat currency by submitting required docs only.

how anonymous do you wanna be? do you just want to stay away from putting money in your bank account or totally hide your identity?

if you want absolute anonymity, that's gonna be tough. if it's just the account then look into the debit card route and take the cash out of atms.

it depends on where you live. but the method is in short as follows:
1) find a person around you or living near so he can meet up face to face with you. you can find such person on localbitcoins.com or on any social media that is related to bitcoin like here or /r/bitcoin
2) arrange a meeting and go there with bitcoin on your phone wallet.
3) you send the bitcoin to him and he pays you back in cash.

step 0) important thing is to read that news about the guy who was rubbed at gunpoint in New York wanting to sell bitcoin face to face so you can avoid his mistakes.

P2P or a debit card would be the best for this. And i would prefer debit card(more security).

Actually I am doing it I am selling it on one of our local trusted buyer on facebook,we have been dealing for the past three years so there are no problem selling my bitcoin anonymously by the way i am not using my real account when selling..

The best anonymity as far as i know that you can get online is through local bitcoin,  but even local bitcoin asks for id when you sign up.  For complete anonymity your next best  bet is doing a face to face transaction.  It seems the more mainstream bitcoin gets the less anonymity you get with it.

The only way to exchange bitcoin anaonymously is really the debit card, where you will go to atm and cash out the money you wanna, i dont know if those has any security camera hidden as the fiat money has around it, soo maybe ask a old person to cashout soo wont reveal your face.

The best way to stay anonymous is to sell face to face on a public place. You can ask for someone on Bitcointalk.org for instance who is living in your city or area and wants to buy Bitcoin. Then you meet yourself on a well-crowded restaurant or cafe to conduct the deal.

I think its better to sell bitcoin in localbitcoin because for now there is no anonymous way to sell bitcoin because almost way to withdraw your money needs real identity to receive the money..

i think use bitcoin mixer first then you wall address will not be traceable then sell it ..

if you have bitcon and you know how to own bitcoin or get it. or even how to earn it. then how can it be possible that you dont know the way how sell it. and you must also know that selling bitcoin in the market is always anonymous. and i am thinking about that why you want sell your bitcion anonymously.

do you really feel the need to sell your bitcoin anonymously or you just want to know it for the knowledge. yes for sure you can sell your bitcoin anonymously. you can use bitmixer exchange for that.

Bitmixer exchange... Even if you managed to mix the coins, it will still be traceable if these services gives up your identity to the authorities.. some of them are even collecting

You can sell your coins to some reputed seller here and get payment with western union.

well i guess it depends on what way did he use to get those bitcoins, if it was something not legal then he might want to sell it anonymously or maybe he just wants anonymity for himself as he likes it

you can try coins.ph if you are living in the philippines if not try to use exchange sites and exchange it to other currency or in localbitcoins you can sell bitcoins but you need to be sure if they're not scam.

I heard that on the web and bitcoin forum local bitcoin website is the good option for anonymously , because it has opportunity to sell BTC , but i believe it is trusted party and with good reputation , because you need get back your  fiat currency safely after selling BTC :)

I do not understand what the purpose of the questions made by the OP, how to sell bitcoin anonymously mean what would he get is bitcoin too for what sells bitcoin?

And it's very likely that you do not get the actual price, but a much lower one.
Maybe using a bit mixer and selling your coins after that legitly would be a better idea.
It would only cost you a few percent then.

How are you planning on receiving the money? unless you use an unverified PayPal account it's not going to be truly anonymous because you'll still have your bank/card details linked to the account. However you need to be careful, if your PP is unverified and the buyer does a chargeback, you're probably not gonna win your money back if you file a dispute. If you do use an unverified PP account, you need to make sure you withdraw/use the money from the sale ASAP.

receiving too much money on unverified paypal account will only result limitation and at the end they'll require you to do verification,the only way to receive bitcoin without being connected to the bank is through real life,just face to face and it's done be sure about the security

Debit cards have already been mentioned.
But the easiest and most safest imo is to sell to another person via real life trade.
Use localbitcoins or mycelium's local trader marketplace for that.

to be honest,withdrawing with debit card will still connect you to bank,when you took your money from ATM,the CCTV will capture you,if there's something which make you're wanted by bank,they'll simply detect you through this way,so,not safe at all,just if you want to use this method keep in mind you're doing nothing wrong

I think there is no such a service that you can sell bitcoins anonymously even you are using bitmixer how you can withdraw it you will still need real identity to receive those money to receive to your bank or withdraw it using western union..

There's not many ways to sell bitcoin anonymously as you will have to receive cash(or real life currency) in one way or another.

If you want to just sell BTC anonymously (small amounts)

You can try using a Bitcoin Exchange like BTC-e or Virwox (which also allows you to exchange BTC for Second Life Currency)

Then you can try withdraw via paypal (just make an anonymous account or something)

Right now I don't think any exchanges can let you withdraw with a giftcard or anything like that.

if you mean by anonymously that your identity wont be revealed, then you can search for a person in your place that wants to buy and sell him for cash. so only one person will know you :D you can search on localbitcoin for a trusted traders and deal with them in person

P2P trading are your best option. You will be dealing with people face to face.
If that is not pleasing for you you can search for online options - but almost every single one of them will leave some kind of trace in your account history,
but if you are not concerned with your Paypal suddenly growing fat - and possibility that you can be scammed due to charge-back functionality, go for it.

For debit cards will getting a high fee, it makes everyone isn't excited to use them.

F2f is the best way for this time, I agree with you. but selling by every way of bitcoin will secure all of your personal data maybe not's for your wallet financial.

Its better you exchange them in yobit, btc-e from where you can withdraw fiat to perfect money which is also quite anonymous in operation. Than sell those fiat to any local guy for cash.

Hey ninass, why do you want to sell bitcoins anonimously? What country do you live? Is bitcoins forbidden in your country? Well it depends on the wallet that  you are using and it also depends on the country where you live. Like me for example, since I live here in the Philippines I have a wallet that made its payments through different ways  like bank accounts and other remittances. Or if you want, you kind find someone from your country who is using bitcoins and  receive cash directly from him.

I too guess the best one yet is to use localbitcoins since you would be selling your coins pseudonymously but it may take some time to attract a buyer. Otherwise you can use some trusted exchangers from "currency exchange" section using an escrow.

All the above, I prefer using bitcoin debit cards to withdraw my bitcoins as I need to unveil my information only to my card provide.

I hope she is still reading all your great ideas about how to make it more anonymous than it is. Maybe he is from a country where it is forbidden that is why she is asking. If I were her I would send some to a trusted person from another country and send it back to me through the currency that I am in. There will be no trace of that for sure.

All of the transactions made using bitcoin/altcoin I think is anonymous transactions. So if you want to make transactions anonymously then it is better to use the BTC/altcoin, paypal actually could but paypal more strictly in terms of security and the things that they think are suspicious

Instead of trading btc>bank account with some other guy trade btc>paypal,skrill....>bank account.

When you are trading btc for paypal or skrill, never mention that you are trading bitcoins or you will be limted.

Localbitcoins is a good option if it's available to you - pretty anonymous in itself. You can take cash payments if I remember correctly, and can charge your own price as well. Worth a look.

The only really anonymous way of selling it is for cash I think.
As soon as there is a bank account or paypal involved, they have your Id and you have lost any anonymity.

Few users have quoted localbitcoins.com to be worthy on using it anonymous. I too suggest the same because this trading website provides lots of additional features which can't be got with other exchange or trading websites. One among the best is buying anonymously without revealing identity. This is possible only with limited traders available in localbitcoins.com.

First of all mix the coins. Use whatever mixer you trust most, there are a lot of mixers out there. Be sure that you are using the real URL and use TOR or VPN.
Once you mix, then proceed to sell in a decentralized market or meet sellers IRL for cash.

Everything else is not anonymous.

no way u should see bc annonymously because when u give them the btc address they might be really good at stealing btcs .u might know u might be having 10 btc in ur wallet and at that moment u have none .how would u feel?? for me it would be very hard for me to go on.but still if hard work gets stolen by someone ,u wanna kill that person in real but u l end up killing that person in ur dreams ..kudos :)

What is the total amount of bitcoin that you want to convert in fiat? If the amount is not large then you can use one or multiple bitcoin debit cards (anonymously) and spend them on POS or withdraw on ATM. I don't know any other way to stay more anonymous.

Localbitcoins is a good way to sell it anonymously, but only if you have to. Because it sure is an hassle.
Another good way is to use an bitcoin creditcard, you can use most of the cards here on the forum and stay anonymous.

thats true, you can sell it anonymously only in person and i think thats a bad thing because then bitcoin cannot give you anonymity

I would recommend a site like localbitcoins or paxful. I have used paxful and fins that it is great as long as you find a trusted trader, you can get great rates and the bitcoins will be held in an escrow. You could even sell your bitcoins for something like a gift card.

Sell your bitcoin to Exchanger near you with Cash or goods.

First of all, you have to mix your Bitcoin with a mixer because by doing that you will remove the trace of where does your Bitcoin from (This is the important part, because if you not doing this then it's hard to do the other parts).
And then make a new account in a forum that has a Bitcoin marketplace, then sell it there. But if you think that it's not enough anonymous for you, then you have to make Bitcoin debit card and then withdraw it from an ATM.

I think you can try using services bitcoin's debit card who doesn't requirement for verification on their service , it will make you keeps anonymous. Or you can try selling bitcoin on local transaction (with cash money on your regional).

You can try to use exchangers like payexchanger.com and you can sell the bitcoins via Skrill there for example. They only will know your Skrill email address and nothing more. You can try converting your bitcoins to fiat using virtual credit cards or e-commerce coupons etc. Alternatively you can sell it for fiat in exchange of goods or services and then you can resell those goods or service.

There are more than enough ways to convert bitcoins in fiat but we should go with legal and hassle free methods. It’s completely okay to maintain anonymity while dealing in bitcoin because afterall it’s anonymous cypto currency.

ATM bitcoin debitcard seems like the logical choice if you want to stay anon. Paypal would nott work because how would they get the funds to their bank account to withdraw from? Paypal asks for that information so they know where to send it ::)

Yeah, the best way to exchange bitcoin without identity is to use bitcoin debit cards, there are lots of debit cards out there that don’t require your id but still you need to give them you address so they can send it to you and they still will take monthly fees  for it so ty picking one that is cheap.

Yet, you need to verify yourself only once. Not with all the merchants you are going to shop with.

yes i am also in favour of local bitcoin, it can really provide you a good service to you anonymously, i personally also using it ans i always found good result from it.

If that is the case you can try peer to peer to any trusted friend or a localbitcoin,there's no way in a company because you will have to verify your identity,you can check some trusted member here who deals with buying bitcoin.

If the main goal is to withdraw the money in cash then there is no other option rather than just receive the plastic debit card to the address provided.
But if the OP or someone else want to withdraw the bitcoins and then buy something online or similar then a virtual bitcoin debit card is perfect + anonymous.

Stop using bitcoin at all, if you are doing some shady businesses you should stop using crypto but for privacy purposes bitmixer.io is one of the best solutions to stay anonymous, also their fees are relatively low.
But when it comes to exchanging to fiat, that's entirely a different thing which only solution would be to avoid any regulated services and use localbitcoin.

I think you can exchange the Bitcoins to netteller or skrill if you want. Or the best way would be buying some real product which you need from that BTC. You will get the product and got rid of those BTC.
