There is way too much traffic in this section for me to handle. I need several moderators for this section. Apply here. Users with high "days online" are likely to be considered.

Moderators of this section will:
- Delete garbage.
- Delete posts that are just for increasing post count.
- Move good topics elsewhere.
- Send me lists of users to whitelist.

Sorry about the workload, theymos. This troll situation is a bad one for mods and regular users alike.

I volunteer to help with this as well. You can check out my previous posts from before the 50 post rule was enacted. My posts were constructive, and I also posted at least 3-4 times ragging on the annoying incomers trying to spam with garbage panic posts and stuff like that.

Thank you for the Whitelisting, My "days online" count is low, so you might not see me fit for any kind of moderation responsibilities, but I will try to be helpful by steering newbies that seem genuinely interested in bitcoin in the right directions for accurate information.

I want to apply, i'm all the day with the forum open on my browser and pressing F5 constantly lol. I was tired of the topics "crashing" "ponzi scheme" and so on, so lets help to clean this!

I am willing to clean and manage this section. I can flexibly dedicate any period of my day to moderating.

I've wasted enough hours here every day that I might as well apply for this. Surprisingly, I've managed to mostly keep up on many threads under Recent Unread Topics...

Although I am fairly new (only two weeks) I have been really active and as partial as possible in helping others. I'm very interested in the goings of Bitcoin and if you still require help moderating the Newbie forum I would be glad to help. I have experience moderating other forums and I'm very interested in community support especially helping newbies find their way into being helpful community members.

maybe you should just consider moderating the other boards and deleting troll accounts.

It's funny the need arose for "more moderators" because of the problem they created.... Funny

I'd love to help moderate.  I've got "lots" of posts, even though I'm relatively new to the scene, I think I'd be a great addition to assist with newcomers.  I've also been trying to "report to moderator" some of the more egregious Troll posts here, so I apologize if I created a lot of work for you.

I applaud your acting swiftly to get this issue under control and prevent the boards from becoming flooded with haters.
