Lets assume there is a tremendous increase in the price of bitcoin,
when do you think the price of 1BTC=1000USD?

I would rather discuss this in the speculation section as its nothing India specific. No one knows where bitcoin is heading, I think we won't see it rise over 800 anytime soon.

i am not sure how much time it will take to reach btc rate 1000$.but I'm 100% sure its rate will must be increase one day till all money of world put in btc.

Hope to see it rises high soon...  ::)

I can see BTC going to around $800 in next two months!

It will not go to 800$ in next two month that is for sure but it might go in coming years.Now ether is growing rapid rate and might surpass btc.Around 1-2 month back it price rises to 700$ and that was very astonishing.

Yes surely bitcoin price will surely rise and i think in 2017 it will reach 1000$ may be in the mid 2017 i am pretty sure i will reach four figures mark in dollars.

looks like its not rising currently. Today its $560 and going down.. and was 630 yesterday. Thats around 15% drop.

Its because of the bitfinex hack. Total estimated amount of bitcoins stolen amounts to 119K bitcoins. Already led the price down to 480. Anything can happen in the next 24 hours.

its gonna be good opportunity too to buy btc at low rates again.
and bad loss for many too.

Bitcoin is not about just buying and selling. Due to this the miners will suffer. if the price goes down any further, then the miners won't profit at all, and hence would likely stop mining and affect the network. Could worsen the situation.

I think 800$ will reach!

My sense is that we will see a $750 to $1000 range by the end of 2016. That said, I do think we will struggle to stay there, and the market will correct to the lower end of the above range. The big moves are likelier in 2017/18

Sorry I missed this before. Soon is about an year or 2, or the period between now and next halving. While I don't see it rising, I don't see it dropping below 500 either due to the miners not being profitable then. I feel it would stay in the 500-700 range for some time now.

No incentive for prices to drive up to 1000 right now.

Its price will not rise to 1000$ in coming year,it will take some time dependent on economic growth and bitcoin dependencies.

Your question itself is not clear.If we assume tremendous increase in bitcoin price,why only $1000.Lets assume it to be $10,000

Prices after halving has being stable around 550-600$ range. Let us see where it heads too.

Bitcoin has benefited from the Brexit this year, the coin halving, and various other economic troubles which lead investors to try alternate investments.
However it has also suffered a lot from the Bitfinex hacking and such.

I think the price of Bitcoin will rise significantly if Donald Trump gets elected as US president.

Actually not sure that it can be possible. However bitcoin price doesn't control by anyone so it say to hard what happened next.But as long as i know  i heard that 2017 will be bitcoin year.

what is the corellation between bitcoin price and Donald trump being the president,i dont see much of a significace in the election results,if the price has to increase more investors and business has to start revolving around bitcoin and we have to get rid of the major hacks happening in big exchanges,then we will see some positive signs.

I think in coming 3 years bitcoin will surpass $1000 and will stay there.I can see many indians are now getting involved with btc and that will help price gain

They are 50-50 chances,though bitcoin has  become a major asset to be connected by different services and altcoins.In 2014-2015 its price suddenly rose to Rs 75k so there is a great chance that it can  go to 60-70k again.

Bitcoin will Only Rise to a Decent Price When the Mining Of Bitcoin Gets Reduced and The Supply Of Bitcoin Lower and Demand Increases.....
As You know that It's a Simple Rule Of Economics that If the Supply Decreases and the Demand Increases Then the Price Of Any Particular Thing will Increases......
