To borrowers out there who plans to borrow Bitcoins from OP, you have the option to chose an escrow to hold your collateral as OP is still new in this forum and have no history yet of lending so if you decide to allow OP to hold your account or collateral you are doing that at your own risk.
You have been warned.

Someone gave me 33 bitcoin last month. I sent the bitcoin already with my first trade, I'm just pretty new here. I honestly don't know how to sign from my bitcoin address, can you send me a link that tells me how?

Holy crap, I don't mean to crap on your thread, but care to share how you were given 33 btc?  That seems a bit incredible.   But hey, good luck with the lending and watch out for the scammers.  They are everywhere.

Wait, how can you ask another user to sign a message from their address, when you don't even know how to yourself?

Maybe he is only trying to follow the rule or trying to verify the message with online verifier like CoinIg
Also the way to sign a message in every wallets vary. Specially the new blockchain which created many confusion on signing a message

And yeah, it's just because I've been browsing the lending forum trying to see how it's typically done. As I said, this is very new to me, so I'm following the steps other users take to not get screwed over.

I used Coinbase, which says that I currently have 1.07739719 BTC  ≈ 727.03 USD in the wallet. But, I'm buying like 5 or 6 more BTC tomorrow when it's lower.

Fair enough, maybe your btc not only in 1 address but multiple address because it's on CoinBase, anyway since you new don't forget to add 3rd Party as Escrow you can get all Escrow list in Here (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=855778.0) & good luck with your service.

I'm hella confused. Coinbase changes the address every time you make a transaction, so I have no idea which address proves that I have the money I have.

After going through this thread, I have noticed that there is something fishy going on with the OP. First, the amount that he has put at stake for the loans is too high for heavens sake. Secondly, he wants people to sign a message yet himself he doesn't have a clue on the same, thirdly, he claims to be a newbie and therefore doesn't understand how business is contacted on bitcointalk.org. Fourthly,he can not prove ownership of any valid bitcoin address that he uses. The addresses he has provided has very little transactions with zero balance - which address did he transact the 33btc?. i suspect he is out to get peoples accounts and hold them for good.

AFAIK coinbase provides you a list of addresses you used to sign a message.
Check the address for their balance then sign a message
Tutorial about signing a message using coinbase can be found here : https://support.coinbase.com/customer/portal/articles/1526413-how-do-i-sign-a-message-with-a-bitcoin-address-

Hold on a second, cut me some slack. Coinbase is just confusing me because it changes the address everytime a transaction is made. Secondly, I'm a girl. Stop calling me a he, please. I have a bit of bitcoin, and I'm trying to make a profit because I'm not doing anything with it, I don't know why a high amount is bad. I sent the bitcoin to the first person I lended to, so go verify that with them. I'm not a scam, but I have no idea how to fucking prove it because I can't figure out coinbase.

If you are not familiar with coinbase, for you to know which address you used to transact, check on the top right corner where there is your username and click on it. On the drop down menu, click on advanced. You will see a list addresses that have been generated and used. You find which address was used to transact and sign a message from there. The list looks like this : http://myprintscreen.com/s/epjv/f772ca1b76

That was a huge of some Bitcoins randomly sent to you. Btw, what is your main bitcoin address that are you using for this loan?

No offense madam, we just have to be very careful because trust is the most important thing when it comes to forum accounts and lending of coins. Kindly consider using an escrow and i will be your frequent client. I always borrow and repay in seven days. I just want to know how safe my account will be before i borrow from you.

I completely understand that. I got really excited when I got all of those bitcoins and lost a bit of them because I wasn't careful, so I can relate. Do you have a preferred escrow?

I don't have any particular escrow at the moment we can get information from this forum. If you can promise safety of my account, then we can transact. I also send you a personal message. Kindly check

Its good to note that you managed to sign a message using the address. I once fell victim to a person who offered to give a loan of 1 btc and he even went ahead to give an advance payment of 0.2 btc and requested that I verify my identity by sending him my photo holding my identity document, copy of identity and a copy of utility bill. Once I had sent the documents to his email address, he vanished in thin air and could not respond to my messages and emails. Such people have destroyed the reputation of newbies especially good people like you. I will also put up a request for your service.

Oh yay! Thank you. I apologize that it took me so long to verify it, CoinBase was just confusing me. I do hope you end up putting up a request. :) I'm sorry you were scammed. When I first received the huge amount of bitcoin, I wasn't careful because I got too excited. I ended up losing a bit of it, so I understand to an extent.

How about I'll extend the date of repayment, 7 days/within 7 days from now? Usually it may take a few days before the button will be fixed and end up paying in the end. Or I can reduce my loan instead if you're interested.

That's why we use collateral so that in case of default, we are able to get the loaned amount back + maybe a little more.

Doesn't matter if the OP get the account as collateral it just will get a negative feedback from DT members because the account was hacked, so before give a loan to someone always ask for signed message from an old address.

Looks like you came up with a high budget as compared to few other lenders
Could you please sign a message from the address where those 1.2 btc is stored ?
I hope this isn't a collateral scam which many users are trying these days

Someone gave me 33 bitcoin last month. I sent the bitcoin already with my first trade, I'm just pretty new here. I honestly don't know how to sign from my bitcoin address, can you send me a link that tells me how?

Just curios to know, how can a person give that amount of BTC ( almost 2k worth $) just over reddit. Is there anyway i can also get similar amount of money lol ?
did you like do a job or a task or something i would like to know if possible ?
And good luck with your lending service :)

Newbies such as this ^^^, please stop bothering this man or any other lender asking us to hold your PAYPAL account as collateral.  They can easily be taken back and it is not valid collateral.  Also just to confirm NEWBIE accounts are not worth ANYTHING for collateral.

Might I also add, you might want to post your loans you have made out and the payment you received back.  A lot of borrowers on here are full of it, but those who are legit, may check your history to see if you actually have funds and whether or not you are getting payments back.  So you may want to post proof of payment when you make loans and proof of payment when you get paid back.  Good luck with your services.

It would probably take a couple weeks to arrange the collateral you need.  At that time, you won't need the loan anymore.
