Title: Why don't allow us to hide also the last activity?
Post by: redsn0w on July 22, 2016, 11:22:15 AM
I don't know if it was already requested before, but I would like to request the admin if he can add the possibility to hide also the last activity/active day.
Because I think the forum should allow us to have more privacy and display our last activity isn't (imho) good but maybe I'm wrong, I know we can hide our forum status but it's not quite useful if we can't also hide our last active day/activity.

PS:Please try to stay on topic, the paid signature ad. spammers aren't welcome.

I don't see why this should be implemented. It will just be abused by scammers and lead to confusion.

You can't think of any way this can be abused by scammers or lead to confusion? People will use it to make it appear like they aren't active any more. If people wan't to hide their activity then just don't log in. Otherwise this info is useful for numerous reasons.

sure I can, but since you said it will be abused I wanted to read your explanation. Btw, so are you saying that this function can be abused by the scammers by make them appear like they aren't active any more? Okay that's logic.

so I can assume that this function at the end will not be added, right?

Is there someone else that have another opinion in merit? Please reply here.

Well I don't get to say whether a feature will be ultimately added or not but I think the negatives overshadow any benefits you may think it has. I guess others may disagree but I don't see any real need for this.

Yes, this can be the most important reason and clarity is one important feature for this forum that many people do different deals here but unfortunately there some other features that can lead to be a tool of abusing such as a self-moderated topic which I do not like it at all.

This ^^

Why the hell should people be allowed to hide anything here? I'm sure the OP used to post in much better English. The account must have been sold.

Listen, my friend. Your cause seems very noble and yes, anonymity or a small privacy is appreciable. However, if one sells something in auction, then his last posts are vital to see his records and judge him on basis of trust. Buying accounts from someone is too risky and we have to see the account's last posts to verify the credibility. If we offer a loan, we must see his last posts to check if he is a scammer or not. Campaign managers need to see users post quality to pay them.
