Last few days many traders were robbed and their funds were drained from Kraken. People are angry and wants their money back.

Not good. I hope everyone can get their funds back.  Not good press for bitcoin.

I was one of those who got their account robbed/emptied.

After having dealt with the rodent featured support guy 'Joseph' and the utter bullshit he was talking, I quickly came to the conclusion that the theives are either Kraken, or are operating within Kraken itself. This cocksucker is trying to tell me that my computer was compromised, and that is why my account was robbed, meanwhile, it seems that a whole bunch of accounts were robbed, all on the same day, around the same time, which does kind of entail that it is either:

a) Kraken who were compromised

or

b) Kraken (or people with back end access at Kraken), who are the crooks. Usually, it is not individuals Bitcoin accounts that are robbed/hacked enmasse, but individual/exchange wallets. Could be that Kraken have suffered such an attack and instead of coming clean and admitting they have been hacked, they are passing the buck onto it's customers by emptying the accounts of customers who did not have 2FA enabled, and then telling them 'you have been robbed, we offered u 2FA but u never used it so fuck you, it's your loss'.

This isn't good for Bitcoin at all. Although I intend to push my complaint as far as I can with any relevant regulatory agencies, I am smart enough to know that Kraken are an unregulated exchange, and they can ultimately just say 'Fuck You', to all their disguntled customers, and that there isn't much that any of us can do about it. Obviously, no chance that anyone is getting their money back here. As it happens, things could have been much worse for me. I used to use Kraken as my main trading exchange, but moved to Finex due to Kraken's expensive short leverage trading. I still however lost around 10% of the total funds I have in Bitcoin, and I realise that anything like this could happen on any exchange, at any given point in time, and if/when it does, then there is fuck all I will be able to do about it except mourn my losses....

Kraken are either inept or crooked, or both.
Bitstamp are acting really weird with all manner of strange reports surfacing.
and as for Bitfinex.....lol.

That leaves the big Chinese exchanges, and if someone is willing to trade on them, then the money they have there can't be important to them.

I think I am going to remove all the funds I have on crypto exchanges and just wash my hands with it.
