Title: is freebitco.in or freedogeco.in worth my time?
Post by: HatakeKakashi on July 25, 2016, 08:37:26 AM
I recently called against a user playing there and earning while gambling the coins he earns.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1564368.0;topicseen

They said its okay to play there even if the faucet is small and the house edge is sky rocketing. Are they right?

From my personal opinion both are just crap because we have no way to verify the bet result there, it is very hard to know how they generate the roll result so if you're interested to play with faucet amount than it is okay to play there, but I think it is just waste of time to give try to them.

I have spent quite alot of time at freebitco.in using their faucet and dice. Although the payouts are small there is a chance (1/10000) to make alot of bitcoins. I have used their dice site and it seems ok from what I have used. You may also be interested in the lottery as jackpots are over 1btc.

unless you are as lucky as that OP...
you can try to use those faucet's earning to play with...

IMHO it is not worth it to use those site, you are just wasting your time claiming few satoshis in a faucet plus their house edge is very high @ 5% so it looks like they really don't want to give their users btc

Maybe he is just playing for fun on that site. He didn't really care that his winning is just a small amount compared to those who really into gambling. IMO The reason why he shared his winning is that he was overwhelmed because he got the jackpot. Answering the question if it's worth the time, I can say yes if you're playing for fun because I also have a friend who uses that site and he seems happy while playing. No regrets since he just uses the faucet rewards.

I dont agree that freebitco and freedogeco.in site is crap , they are the oldest and perfect running faucet who are genuine and you can check all the bets on dice. I mean you can verify all your bets with they are clearly giving you the link through which you can check the hash of your bet. They are even running lottery which is going good. This site is for fun if you struck lottery with top 5 then you are earning good.

Freebitco.in and Freedogeco.in are one of the best faucet and most trusted faucet that are running without problem. They have a lot of users and its really old faucet which also include dice game.
but i think its really good only for those who are new to bitcoin world and just want some small earning and can also take a gambling experience there but otherwise that it cannot be seen for getting a worthy income from there. In gambling any thing could happen and you could even loss at odds 1.01 as well.

Those sites used to be pretty good more than a year ago but definitely not now. I stopped using them around 6-8 months ago because the award was significantly lowered and also I've noticed that you never get anything except the lowest award possible.

To be honest its just the same like you earn from a faucet, the chances of getting top reward is very slim, i played for 4months but never get that reward, the different from the usual faucet is that you can multiply your bitcoin, but i suggest you stay away from it, eventually you will lose your coin, so to make it short in my opinion i dont think its worth of your time

For me faucet just waste my time, its really doesn't worth with time. But if just want to hunting jackpot in that site, its ok for me, its like testing how far your luck.

I used to use them but then stopped as it became too time consuming and faucets are just too small to make anything from, if you are lucky you might hit one of the higher rewards, I am yet to see any mention of anybody ever hitting the top reward and they have been going for a few years.

If you have the time it isn't the worst faucet out there.

I use to be active for more than 12hrs when i was introduced to bitcoin, and was lucky some time to hit 9997, but i use to buy lottery, but i was unlucky as i never won it , so i am not going for full time now some time daily i use to play and convert the bitcoins to lottery ticket in hope that one day i will win the top 10 prizes. Now i have started to join the signature campaign and improve my account and earn bitcoin.

Base on my experience i just wasted my time in those site. They are really giving out payout but it will gonna take a lot of your time before you can accumulate the minimum payout. I suggest instead of doing Bitcoin faucet just apply in a Signature Campaign.

in my opinion freebitco.in and freedogeco.in is the most trusted faucet currently indeed the rewards is too small and will wasting your time but first all you have to remember that faucet will never give you high earnings and do not expect more for them and if you feel those faucet is not worth to your time then find another way to increase your earnings

Frankly, they are worth your time only if you have built a solid, active referral under you. But if you just go there and just claim once every few hours, you'll get virtually nothing and just waste a couple of hours waiting and entering the captcha to get something.

i used them a long time ago back when i was a newbie and they had provably fair system back then and you could check your rolls, and in fact i learned about provably fair system there for the first time.

but it is not about that, they are a faucet and like any other faucet spending time to claim from them is wasting time because of the low payment and even gambling is not gonna help you increase that tiny amount.

Freebitcoin and freedoge is not good for use it is good only for people which advertise that site because they earn very  big huge amounts of bitcoin from referral comission.

If you are use to collecting from faucets then yes it is worth it as it's one of the highest paying faucets around. If you aiming to make more then look elsewhere also if you just want a bit of fun and small profit you can play there I would recommend it.

I loosed some money when i started gambling with bitcoins, its better to stay away if you are playing with your money. But if you play with the faucet money, i don't see any problem, you will be loosing the money that they give you with the faucet. The high house edge will kill your winnings.

These sites are good as a faucet. But playing the multiplier? No. I've pretty much lost all my faucet earnings from them which is about 100k sats by playing their multiplier. It's only good when you really have nothing to do and just want to waste some time.

Its a crappy dice game that dose make you lose everything you gained from claiming faucets so its a waste of time and the only good thing about the website is the jackpot and for that you need to be extreamly lucky to win

Dude,  it's a total waste of time but if you derive pleasure from it then it's benign.  People are always wasting time doing boring, economically useless activities.   If you enjoy filling out captchas and rolling dice then stick with it.  But there are definitely better uses of your time.

Collecting satoshi from faucet is not worth at all, you need to spend many hours per day just for small amount. It is only good for beginners to start to learn about bitcoin. In case of gambling, I would recommend to play on real dice sites instead of freebitco or freedogeco. Simply because the house ede..

I must admit that these 2 faucets have been good to me but in recent times the claim rates have lowered and now it's not really worth it. I still claim there only because I have a few active referrals but if I didn't have them I would of stopped a while ago once the claim rates dropped.

I have never had any luck with the dice game due to the high house edge and have never won any prize in the lottery since it was introduced. You can try it but I wouldn't invest BTC just use the faucet claims to play dice or buy lottery tickets and hope for the best.

I agree. Getting btc through faucet sites is not really worth our time. I also don't find any sense in playing there, I would suggest just to withdraw the satoshis you get from there and play in sites that we can verify the credibility of our bets.

they are faucets so no they are not worth the time to spend and claim satoshis so you can then gamble with them and lose, which means your time was completely wasted and you have nothing to show for it. they can be worth it a little bit only if you can gather many referrals and your earning becomes bigger.

Thank you everyone :) The responses I received here are different from that thread. I intended to say the same.
A faucet can never be a gambling site. It will never allow users to empty it's balance in a day. A faucet can't be trusted with more than 10$.
Freebitco.in is trusted yes, but you can always take away people's money. It takes a second to break someone's trust

We definitely must not play in faucet sites because it is hard to verify our bets. Fact is, we even doubt our bets in leading online casinos out there even if we can verify our bets, how much more to faucet sites that there is no way for us to verify it. rest my case :)

i think so if we shouldn't betting in there since we can't see how provably fair works in those site, but how can play faucets it's worth with time? it's really doesn't worth with time, it's just consuming/waste our time.

Not really a time waster as I know there you need to claim every hour or so. So you just click for a few seconds than get back after 1 hour, 2 hours or 3 hours, there is no limit to this. And if you are good to get a lot of active referrals then its worth it cause you can use those earnings for a bit of gambling and have a bit of fun.

It is just waste of time as per my point of view, long time ago I was much active on freebitcoin but in the end lost all my earning to them, but if someone feel it's okay to make claim on the time than it is nice faucet, but for gambling that is not a good place as they have not any provably fair system.

They really are not worth to spend time on such sites anymore. If you have lot of time to waste then for fun you can go. I was actively playing at freebitco.in couple of years go when I first came into Bitcoin. Now things have moved more advanced and these seems crap and outdated for any normal player. I will say don't loose time as they is nothing in these both site anymore.

Enrolling to a signature campaign is way better than chasing with these free faucets. It is really a waste of time and not worth of the time due to the very small return. Although, signature campaign does pay that high, it is way more better than faucet sites in my opinion. In a week time, I don't think so that you get at least minimum of 0.012btc in faucet sites, right? Well, you can get that amount in signature campaign.

Of course they are not right, I also use that faucet, freebitco.in. Not so regular, but I collect it almost a month and I have a bit more then 0.3 mbtc. I have reward points, and tickets for lottery. I think lottery is only reason I play that. I hope one day I can win some nice amount there, and in meanwhile I collecting coins, and when I make something above 1 mbtc I will try to gamble it. Its nice that for every 6 k satoshis they give reward points, and lottery tickets. I think that is the biggest reason why we are going there. Everyone think that one day lottery will be theirs, and on their page first couple prizes for lottery are more then awesome in my opinion.

It is funny that you actually answered yourself in your question. You got some things right: faucet rewards are insignificant, awfully small and house edge is high.
Mathematically your chances of winning any serious money vs. time you will lose trying to achieve that goal are unfavorable.

So answering your question - it is not worth your time at all.

No, you can make only a couple of thousands Satoshis a day when you are active. For some, this would be enough but I consider it as wasting time. Sure, you could gamble with your hard earned Satoshis but it is very likely that you lose all the balance again.

I'm consistently getting around $0,002 worth of USD per "roll" from Freebitco.in.

That's $0,002 per hour.

I guess I'm still rolling because once you start, you can't just stop... can you?

Besides I'm behind my computer all day and it's not like I have anything better to do...

Lol, same applies to me but in reality its actually a waste of time if you are fully dedidcated to it as a means to make some coins hoping you will one day hit the jackpot but if its just a way to pass time then its not a waste of time because the time is already wasted...

Yes, most of us know their lottery system and dice game is fair enough so don't play any games on this site but if you really want to earn free money then you can use it. But earning from faucets are really waste of time because you can earn better in signature campaign for the same time you spend.

I think it is worth it. It is some of the few faucets that are even worth visiting. Moonbitco.in is a good faucet too. There maybe enough decent faucets to count on both hands but the rest are a waste or require some antibot that takes to long or doesn't work at all.

I would rather focus on signature campaign and do day work job than going through faucet sites out there and getting a very few amount of bitcoins in the process. Your time is not really well worth doing these faucet hunting. You better spend it a quality time with your loved ones and or doing something more worthwhile and profitable.

I think they are fine as long as you try to avoid the dice game offered there, the house edge is very high compared to other sites. If you are looking to gamble with faucet earnings most dice sites now offer faucets within the dice game, these amounts can often be alot higher than some faucets and there are usually less ads when claiming the amount.

I'm consistently getting around $0,002 worth of USD per "roll" from Freebitco.in.

That's $0,002 per hour.

I guess I'm still rolling because once you start, you can't just stop... can you?

Besides I'm behind my computer all day and it's not like I have anything better to do...

If you don't know other ways of earning money online, then you can continue until you find some other better ways. But if you already know some other ways then it is a waste of our time. 0.002$ each claim per hour is waste of time.

Faucet reward may not be the highest and house edge is huge but freebitcoin's biggest advantage is that it is a trusted and old site which always pays on time and you can build your referral list without the fear that the site will stop to exist after a few weeks.
Also don't forget the reward points, the lottery and the possibility to hit a higher roll and earn up to 0.3 BTC.

Faucets are good way for newbies to just experience bitcoin, But as part of earning faucets are worth a little with good number of referrals. As far as these two sites, we can think of a faucet site which will not shutdown or run away anywhere soon. May be they are one of the highest paying in faucet, but that few sathoshis are not worth the time spent. every hour you get guaranteed $0.002 so you need 500 rolls to get $1, average 15 rolls per day so approx 33 days to get you first dollar without referrals.

Hi Lo game is just gambling and with that high house edge everyone looses in the long run, So I'd say no its not worth the time.

Find a way to earn online money? What do you mean? By gambling does it include in earning money online. Actually this faucet like freebitco.in is worth to try because you can earn like 0.3 btc but we never know when luck comes. And when you claim faucet, you will get chance to win some lottery too, althougj no one yet confirm it but still it is worth to try it

We can never knew if we dont gamble :) but don't deposit your money their, just used their faucet and have a good time betting at that site so if you lose you cannot turn out to be a crying baby for this matter, but lucks rarely strikes to our bones so if this well occur for certain moment well we should grab the good situation and quite slowly if bad things will start to arrive so our profits for this game of chance will not be cut off.

You should spice it up a bit, and not take your free roll income. Take those Satoshi and buy Lottery tickets on the same site or just dump them in the multiplier to lose them faster. At least then, you would get some adrenaline flowing with the hopes of winning it big. If you are doing this for the entertainment value, you must go all in and enjoy all the fun this site has to offer.  ::)

As you said, you have loads of time and tons of money to spend on wasted electricity. ^LoL^ You will pay more in miners fees, due to all the dust this is creating in your address, than you would be getting from the free rolls you receive. The only chance of you making a profit out of this, is if you gamble those Satoshi's on the multiplier or the Lottery and actually winning something. ^smile^

If you have the time then it is worth it, over time it will build up.  Probably best to stay away from the dice game, there are better dice sites out there if you want to do that.

Don't expect to hit the big 0.3, anytime soon, over on their thread I can't see anyone that has ever hit that amount. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=319540.0

I don't expect my tickets to win the lottery always. And also their free satoshi is really only just by luck. My only chance there is for people to register on my referral link and let them give me free bonusses, which can be impossible right now as many people know the site already. But yes they are better than other faucets in terms of the possibility of claiming a big anount per hour.

These faucet sites were a good way to introduce me to bitcoin/doge a few years ago but as time goes by. I feel it is not worth putting in my effort on these faucets.
It would be more productive to think of other methods to get bitcoin. Anyway, these faucets are the most reliable one and you won't need to worry about them running away or closing down.

I recently called against a user playing there and earning while gambling the coins he earns.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1564368.0;topicseen

They said its okay to play there even if the faucet is small and the house edge is sky rocketing. Are they right?

This faucet has long been known for its hefty house edge. Personally, I don't think you can earn anything decent there unless you somehow manage to attract a lot of active referrals (hundreds or thousands). That seems to be the only way of getting any profits from the faucet. The probability of hitting high values (9885-9999) on the free roll is also skewed. There had been discussion with specific figures, and it is substantially lower than what you would expect if you based your judgment on simple math.

Man, in my point of view this webpagew don't worth the time you spend using (surfing) it. I mean, this faucet with lottery is a good strategy for ads and the domain name contributes a lot, so, the admin of this site pays almost nothing and win sure he win (more than nothing... Just take a look into the statistics in seo analytics). So that's what I think about this kinda "system".

Actually, while freebitco.in might look huge now, and nowadays the owner probably makes a decent profit, the owner probably put in a lot of work to get freebitco.in to the point where it is now. Running a faucet isn't all fun and games, and while it looks easy, I assure you it is not.

I also say that their games may be fair but their lottery system is totally rigged and their is no proof of fair claiming, only the new users are getting the winning  of lottery which means that the site and his alt are only getting the lottery winnings because out of 10 lottery i have hardly seen any old user winning but that too bottom 2 or 3 numbers.

So i can say that freebitco.in lottery system is not fair and totally manipulated by the site owner and claiming by creating his own alt accounts. so if you are joining to win lottery then even if you are very lucky you wont be winning in top 7 position.

Both of these are basically faucets but their gambling section is only there to make profits to pay faucet rewards as they have no other way to pay members since Adsense disabled their account. I wouldn't recommend using them for gambling only.

I heard someone won $200 from their faucet recently and the guy was here on bitcointalk providing evidences. I wouldn't recommend to play the dice game there, but I think it wouldn't hurt to visit the site from time to time trying your luck with their faucet. Although you mostly get $0.002, I can confirm that to hit at least $0.02 or $0.2 is possible sometimes.

Maybe we should ask about that directly the owner of the website :)

Take it for what it's worth but I well remember how the owner of the CoinAd faucet, a Bitcoin banner advertising site, had been claiming a couple of years ago that he was able to attract a few thousand referrals after he had shown on his site a freebitco.in ad with his own referral link in it.

None of them ever hit 10000, according to his own words.

I have fun with these faucets....I've never won the big amount but I have won a few of the medium amounts.  I deposit a few bucks every week for the lottery, but I've never won it....been playing for quite awhile too.  But, it's always fun for me to check in each Sunday to see if I've won the lottery....I don't gamble there seriously though....just play the lottery and spin the faucets when I'm bored between poker hands.

Yes, I do agree that these faucets are not worth for our time spent. But these are good for only newbies who just enter to bitcoin field then they may first want to collect some free coins to have that feel of joy. Slowly they will realise it that it is waste of time and then move on to find other ways to increase their earnings.

I think it is kind of tournover statistics.

Few months ago was thread with discussion about winnings from freebitco.in . Nobody never show (real) proof that hit 10000, but as i good remember there was couple hits over 9990

As i know the owner of CoinAd is AlienBitcoin, so it is competition in faucet world.. I will not expect any positive words from someone who want to take over freebitco.in market.. ;)

I think you are wrong someone already mentioned that he hit 10000 and earn around 0.3. This is what I think though most of them are playing through their dice games which is have high house edge so many of them much probably lose it rather than winning but that is not the reason because every xxx wagered they play, they can earn tickets to lottery. But until now I never saw any single people claim that they already win any amount from their lottery. I dont know if this is still worth our time
