Title: Blockchain.info mobile wallet bug
Post by: SgtSpike on March 22, 2013, 07:39:37 PM
I keep getting an error trying to send Bitcoins using the blockchain.info app on an iPhone.  After scanning the QR and entering the amount I want to send, then confirming that I don't want to add the address to my address book, it errors out with "Number of addresses must be between 1 and 200".

Any ideas?

EDIT:  BTW, sending to the same addresses from my desktop works fine.

Bump.

Any official channels I should go through on this?  Should I just PM piuk?

Thanks for the report. How many addresses do you have in your wallet? Under 1000?

Yes.  Like 20, maybe.

Still having trouble with this...  Now it says "between 1 and 1000" though.  I certainly do not have anywhere near that number of addresses.  I have not been able to use Bitcoins on my iPhone for months... it makes me sad.  :(

BUMP.  Just deleted and reinstalled/repaired... still the same problem.

Well, I have a pretty big problem in one of my Blockchain wallets. When I log in, it simply starts flickering and "loading transactions" or something like that. It does that for a while until I'm IP banned from the site. This happens on any computer.

The whole wallet only has a few addresses and a few transactions. I've made a ticket related to this and I sent a message to piuk as well. That was weeks ago. No answer.

It's nice to have an unusable wallet and no support. I could probably import my backup to Multibit or something and make it work if necessary but I haven't needed the funds that much yet.

Unrelated to the OP, but I finally got the help I needed from piuk and he provided a fix for the issue. So my problems have been dealt with, thanks to piuk. Blockchain wallet is a great wallet that combines great convenience with good security.

Hope you don't mind me adding to OP's thread.
edit: Am facing this problem with the web wallet, not in the mobile client.
Any fix for this? I seem to be facing this problem a lot lately.
Number of addresses must be between 1 and 1000.

I know an easy way to remove coins from that account and move them to a new blockchain.info wallet, but it is a bit of a pain to keep moving wallets.

Blockchain.info's service hasnt been really working for me, and I've faced that same problem on my iPod as well. I also accidentally restored and can no longer retrieve my wallet or login, and their support system is useless. The service doesnt work for me. Consider switching to a client like Electrum and have it take your wallet from a TrueCrypt encrypted drive on Google Drive or DropBox. I think its possible to have it access it even though it isn't on the hard drive directly.

You are receiving a "Number of addresses must be between 1 and 1000." error through the web interface? How many active addresses do you have (list on the receive money tab)? Are there any other javascript errors in the console?
