Title: Why do some pools get pinned and others don't?
Post by: FairUser on June 12, 2011, 10:43:24 AM
Why do some pools get the pleasure of being pinned to the top of this thread and others don't?

Apparently only the biggest/most notable pools get pinned.

It makes no sense to me neither. The way it was before was better.

Can we get some word from the moderator about this? Doesn't seem to make competition thrive if the bitcoin.org forum is endorsing some pools, but not others by having only a select few gaining preferential treatment.

Biased much?

side note: I don't like how moderators just pinned a shitload of topics. It's completely useless, and it clutters up the forum.

Heres an idea, maybe the miners should be in the "Mining software (miners)" subforum?

Nah, makes too much sense.

Unstickied and sorted.

I don't think it was necessary a bad idea. He did it before I created the subcategories. Having all the major options stickied seems helpful to me. (I don't read the mining section, though.)
