The price of bitcoin has dropped down to $577, it does not mean that we sell our coins, but we have to stop supplying it to the market no one have to sell their coins, just wait and hold and you will see within a few days the price of bitcoin will rise much higher because of increased demand.

I am not worried at all at this recent dip in price. It is normal a drop or increase of few dollars in Bitcoin. Actually market was not moving in any direction this fresh dip will bring new investments in market. I see this positive and next increase will take price above $ 680 per Bitcoin. I am holding without any doubts as all these changes are temporary.

that is genius decision, I created this post for those people who when see that situation immediately start to sell at whatever price they find on the exchange in order to escape from the dip and they do not understand that if they hold their coins and do not agree to sell at lower price then the demand price will increase more higher.

We've always seen hikes throughout the BTC's history. It's not a reason to trust or loose trust in it. We'll continue to see this stuff, but it'll be a huge price in 2017. I expect a similar price to the $1k top in 2013, and this time it'll be stable. No reason to fear it!

Ups & downs is very much normal but if everybody starts selling than the price may decrease drastically.

Owning Bitcoin as an investment requires some balls people. 

By the time the move has started and you get scared, it is over.  Same for a 'to the moon' phase. 

Timing the price is just about impossible, and those scared selling are emotional which makes you lose money.

Slow investment, a little every month, and ignore these burps.  It is called 'dollar cost averaging' and it gets people rich. 

If you believe in bitcoin long term than calm down. 

If you don't you should not be in it to begin with.

If you are going  to do a bulk sell off.. you should do it in gradual amounts.

Everyone is aware the day to day prices arent really sets us in.. lol. I usually give it a 2 week or almost a 1 month barrier then decide during that time.

If i see a sell off movement I try to stick with selling .1 btc at a time depending how fast.

yes there is no doubt about this i am not going to sell my bitcoin i am defiantly not selling it. i am strong person and can bear all kind of hardness, i am hopeful that the price of bitcoin will not fell down any more and will start rising again. so we should concentrate on buying bitcoin in present position instead of sell it.

Keep holding your coins firmly. If you wanted to sell your coins, you should have done it while the price was still above the $650 price point. Right now you're too late. Instead of selling, you can choose to buy yourself a coin or two, or with the free money that you can use to invest.

It really depends on what you want to happen and what your strategy is. The ones who sold are probably either miners of big mining farms or traders selling for a profit. This means that a buyers market is coming for bitcoin because the price will be at bargain levels. Keep observing the price movement and try to see where it will be stable after the fall. Like I was saying before this will stay at under $600 for a while. Maybe even until the end of the year.

Latest drop started after bitfinex started having problems, right?
So most likely we will be going back up after bitfinex is back.

this is not right, if you are a long term hodler and have bitcoin in your cold storage like me and you bought at $180 then you don't worry too much but generally as a trader when a panic like this hits the market it is better to sell and keep your eyes open to buy at the bottom after a short time because it will spring back.

What a situation... I think that the price will recover soon, but not to the same previous levels, at least not this year.

Agreed.  Whales or other big players or hackers are responsible for the recent tanking.  We're going to come back up, you just watch.  We're already rebounding.   Now is the time to be scooping up cheap coin.

as we all knew that this current price dropping is normal we should hold our btc and let new investors to come up and invest will price still at cheap we know at any time the price will bounce back.

I have been hoping for the price to go below $600 for a while now, and I am grabbing this opportunity while it is still there. Panic selling would just cause the price to go down even further so no sense in doing that. We should hold and sit tight and see how the price moves in the coming days.

this is the best time to buy bitcoin right now, if you are looking for profit. although it is better that you wait a while for the bottom and buy then, but anything around this level is a good profit.

No it is not. We do not yet know where the bottom is. What if BTC will fall further? This is a very dangerous time to buy. It is much safer to observe and then patiently wait for a good time to buy.

Last night on dsx, bitcoin hit $470 at around midnight, and it rebounced right after at $520, what a lucky guy that bought at that price, assuming he bought a good amount.

Huge profit if he bought more. That's why you need to follow your guts in buying because maybe you are correct and you can win big. Buying bitcoin is the only option you should choose because the price is really increasing in a manner that its hard to sell your bitcoin. So the best thing is to buy and hold it more so that you can make a huge profit if the price reach $2000.

If bitcoin is your secondary source of income then you can afford to save whatever you are earning as for your expenses you have fiat to take care of as if you want to earn huge profits from it then you have to hold them for a really long term.

Yes, that time was the good time to buy bitcoins, but who thought in that moment that bitcoin will cross the point of 1000$!? yes, many people chose the strategy of waiting and now they got the profit, but many people got panic that time and sold their coins. I think people still do not believe in bitcoin and the situation with fork and SW and BU just provoked it in bigger way.

People simply lack understanding, and that's exactly what makes them panic when it comes to BU and all other sorts of fud. If you know how things are, then you won't fall for fud. Look at kwukduck for example, he is desperately trying to convince newbies that Bitcoin (core) is fundamentally broken. If you're new here, don't know anything about the technical basic aspects, and look at his legendary status, chances are high that you take his words for granted. Education is key.

If we read back what OP said, he is right about not selling Bitcoin and that was actually a great advice during those time.


See the suggestion/advise here?  Anyone who agreed with him and hold Bitcoin that time and still holding now are definitely very happy due to the fact that Bitcoin had more than doubled its amount and now running to make it triple the price from the time OP started this thread.

Normally it happens since fudster keeps spreadings some lies so that they can earn from dumps if it really happens and sometimes they where successfull to do that since their are huge number of people would dump since they where afraid for deeper losses they can get and we can't blame them for that since they can decide whatever they want and they are just protecting their own money.

I don't have any plans to sell them now as price is increasing slowly and I think it will continue to go higher till the end of the year and I will sell my coins at the time of Christmas as that is the time when the price of bitcoins always goes higher.

From their point of view dumping may be to protect their money, but all they do is cold hard capital destruction. Most of these people sell at a loss, and buy back at premium. Result is that they end up having a lower number of coins each time they sell in panic. I can't really consider that to be protection of money, can you? At some point they must notice that they are doing something wrong, but still, they continue to make the same mistakes.

Christmas still too long of course. we see the next few months there will be a significant upward trend.
it all has started from April now. some have experienced exchange bitcoin price increases were unexpected.

What i'm sure is when the Christmas come, bitcoin's price will increase for sure like last year. On the last year, bitcoin have the halving that make the price become so high but in this year, we don't have something big happen so far. So, i predict the price of bitcoin will stable for the next 2 months and i think hold our coins is good.

It's been a long back thread. Present scenario matches to the thread description. As said now it's good to hold if nothing is found as an urgent requirement. Soon the price will grow as the entire network is in an stabilized form. Op described to hold on when price was dropping. Here it's good to hold as the price move shows signs of increasing.
