I'm thinkinhg of investing some money into btc (I'm planing on buying and holding about 0.5btc), and I wasn't really into the btc price flow lately. What will happen to the price? Do you think it will rise or fall?

A small hiccup happened today and perhaps it is a good time to grap some discounted coins.

The stable price at about $620-650 should be the target in the short term (6 months) if nothing much is happening. If we have a successful hard fork (when??) there might be some up-and-downs, but the price should go up after that.

Of course price of bitcoin will be fluctuating and if you wanna make Investment on bitcoin. Make sure you use idle money for do it, because always there are risk on Investment.

Price bitcoin will going down for long time after halving block, we can saw at last halving block price bitcoin be down. And today is down trend, please make Investment with you can lost it.

I would put investing in BTC in the category of "speculation" rather than investing.  While I agree that the overall trend *looks like* will go on up (with hard bumps along the way), no one really knows...

Moi?  I have BTC as a good long-term speculation.  Better odds than a Lotto ticket.  But, if you do not fully understand what you are doing (I do not fully understand BTC), then keep you exposure very low, perhaps a maximum of 1% - 3% of net assets for example.

this price drop is because of the big hack of bitfinex exchange service that has created a massive panic in the market. so it will stop after the panic goes away and price will rise up again, especially because all the money that investors have in their hand from their sells should come back in again at the lower prices with buying even more bitcoin.

In my opinion investing and speculaton are something different, i always make Investment with clear calculating there are analysis,management money and risk and another calculating. Then speculation usualy i use its category on gambling and not on investing.

if you can wait for sure it will rise up that's the trend of btc investment it is a long term investment mate, perfect timing to buy or just wait for more downfall then buy will surely get the price bonce back.

Yeah, bitcoin is suitable for long-term investment. But for a shorter time as possible trading because utilize rise and fall of prices. Better hold or do not buy it now, because I think the price will continue to fall. Plus case Security breach on Bitfinex. thank you

Its a good time to buy some btc now. Bitcoin price is going down now. And its a perfect time to buy. Just wait for the price to hit 700$ again. After that sell again your btc and get a great profit.

Chances are it is going to be going up in value in the future, but right now you have to play the market and look for the dips. It's all a game of numbers and calculated risk, like everything else. You just have to wait and see. As I said, calculated risks and watching the market. If it goes up after this it'll be relatively obvious and you'll probably be able to tell.

If you are not in hurry for your money to grow then its good to invest in bitcoin, the price may rise in the future thats why btc is good for long term investment. there is always risk so you must know that first because its value is not stable we cant really say if it will go up or down.

Buying now when the morons are panicking is an uncontested slam dunk.  I would buy your 0.5 btc now before the price goes up,  which it's going to.   This will blow over in a couple of days and we will resume our regularly scheduled bull market, already in progress.

In my opinions, caused by bitfinex cases giving a lot of impact for bitcoin price in all of the cryptocurrency market in the world, a lot of people is getting a panic because the bitfinex cases and happened a panic selling on them but i sure for several time later the problem will be fixed and the price will rise again.

Since the price of btc is down to $500 Buying and Holding is not a bad idea, but if the price didn't increase in a week or so

bitfinex crashed the price of btc is affected but if bitfinex recovered so is the price of btc.

none of what you said is right.
- price is $540 not $500, it may go there but it has not yet.
- since the drop is only because of the fear of dump by the hacker and whales who take advantage of situations like this to dump and create more panic, this is only temporary so it will go back up.
- ETC is a pump and dump coin, there is no future for it. if you can get in now and get out fast enough to make the profit you are looking for, then that is good. otherwise it is not good for anything else.
- I doubt that bitfinex can recover, and bitcoin price future has nothing to do with them recovering or not although it can help.

You do not have to worry for the investment that you will do in the bitcoin. Because you definitely will benefit, but it takes time and drain your patience. Bitcoin price will surely drop and will certainly go up, but the drop in prices will not reach the level of bitcoin under $ 200

Nobody knows how the price will move.I think that it will increase during December.

If you really want to invest in btc,go ahead and invest.There is no problem.

In the long term, the bitcoin price should only rise ,because of the limited supply and increased demand.

the rate of bitcoin will be fall, rise, fall, rise, and will be continue like this. but if you ask about how much bitcoin will be rise and fall? no one knows how much exactly, but its just some prediction, the rate will be depend on whats going on in market, how people acts about bitcoin, how much people really trust in bitcoin.

currently bitcoin price is stable near $650 neither it is increasing very much nor decreasing sharply , probably you need to wait for few weeks ,study the  bitcoin price  pattern   and then you can decide to buy it or not :)

In your position I would wait a while until the dust has settled.
I can not recommend anybody to buy coins under this circumstances if he does not exactly know what he is doing.
Personally I converted a good part of my coins back into fiat yesterday, because I am expecting a bigger drop in btc price.
But I will reinvest later this year.

Now it's a great chance to buy some bitcoins. The price fell down a little and it will raise up again. It is a great discount. Well it is still risky, but i recommend you to buy some bitcoins now because it's little cheaper, but not for long

I don't know if it's even worth it to buy such a low amount, you won't make that much, even if prices rise a lot.
Personally I would be speculating on multiple altcoins, but that's just me :)

I also don't know what happen to the price of bitcoin right now, it's decreasing so bad. But i think it will increase again, i think it's a good idea to investing money into bitcoin.

I would recommend buying bitcoins and then investing them in a casino bankroll, with this method you benefit from the price fluctuations in Bitcoin as well as profit from the casino. A safer method may be to use the bitfinex funding option, you get a small return on your bitcoins but it's very safe.

right now it is not a good idea to "buy" but instead you should hold if you have any coins and if you want to buy you have to wait for a little bit longer to see what will happen and what the bottom is going to be.

i don't think it can go to $500 since it has already gone down a lot. so if you plan to buy it is a good time but it is better to buy at the bottom and when it starts going up again.

Well, if you are planning to invest .5 btc you better make sure that you will not need that money in a span of atleast 1 year. Because if you  will need that money in less than a year what if the value of bitcoin is very low but you need the money very much, you will have no choice but to sell it and rather than earning you will just lose your bitcoin.

 Price is 538$, that means 100$ less then yesterday. That is big decrease in short time, I'm not sure why, all I know is that I don't like it. Price is very unstable for me to invest my money in bitcoins. Who can tell will price go back on 650$ or rise more?

 I will wait more then few weeks, and I will follow price carefully everyday. In this moment price can drop even more, its going down pretty fast. Can someone predict when will it stop?

According to me this one good decision but I think you shouldn’t invest your whole capital in one shot. I believe that, the current price fluctuation will carry on till the mid of next year but not with such sharp moments. If you want to take advantage of this fluctuation then invest small part in more frequent levels, so at the end you will have some bitcoins purchased at highest price and (equally some bitcoins purchased at lowest price) that is your average investment price will be always good rather than playing a gamble to invest in one shot. That’s my personal opinion and results might vary.

I guess we'll see a $300-$400 price in the following months. Starting from this Winter, the price's going to grow slowly day by day, until it gets past $1k. I want to buy Bitcoin but I don't want to do it now. So.. Buy BTC, I'm always unlucky and do this stuff in the worst moments.

We can't really control the price anyways. A $500 wallet can't change much. However, I think the price movers are the magnates of BTC selling to get the price low. After that, they'll buy a HUGE amount and rise the price a lot. This is how Soros gets so much profit in just two trades.

Simply buying Bitcoin is the best thing to do now.  Or another overlooked method to make money with Bitcoin is to build and manage your own  business and in the long run will probably yield the best return on your investment.

Within week bitcoin price down, you can see, $632 to $537, so its mean bitcoin has started to back-word counting, also the price more down, so i suggest to sell your bitcoins right now, also start to buy the bitcoins and wait after 2 months bitcoin price would be increased and that is a good period to get profit from bitcoins.

as you can see that the price of bitoin i now fall down to a very very low level and i dont think that it call fall down any more therefore i think if you really want to invest your money you should be hurry because the up trend of bitcoin can be started any time and then  you will not be able to buy bitcoin at such a low level. therefore i suggest to take a brave step and buy bitcoin in this low level.

You got pretty good advice's, now when price is down its good time for buying coins. Its your choice to wait a bit more, maybe price will go down a bit more, but when this mess with stolen bitcoins end we will see price going up again.
Many people agree about rise, so you can choose to listen or not, choice is yours. What ever you chose to do don't regret later.

you have good plan by buying bitcoin and i'm pretty sure most people here will said that and regarding the price nobody here know what happen to the price in the future because it's unpredictable and even i thought price will rise doesn't mean my thought will correct and you must be realize that investing in bitcoin have very high risk and even you hold it for long term you will not automatically got profit

Right now price is almost recovered back again to 600$ and it seems it will stabalize at this or slightly above this range so better you wait and try to grab few if price get again dumped. You already missed the oppurtunity to buy cheap bitcoin at 480$ price on the yesterday dump.

You sure are pretty outdated are you? The price has been dropping and recovering since the last 72 hours. But studying bitcoin trading style and behavior definitely will support for better profits from investing. But investing with motivation of waiting for long term like 2 or more years indeed a good idea.
