I don't know about bitcoin during its early years (2009 - 2014), but way back early 2015, my first time in bitcoin world, I can depend my earnings through faucets only. I mean, claiming on faucets were really worth it. I used to do it only during my spare time and as far as I remember, I'm earning a minimum of BTC0.001 per day. Unlike today, it is really hard to get that value even you spent so much of your time and effort imo because faucets already have low rewards.

I hope we are still in the "Good time" and bitcoin will continue to progress. Hopefully in a few years' time, I will tell others that each post on bitcointalk would give me 300 bits (which could be a big amount in 2020!).

I was not around then,  unfortunately.   I'd probably have over a million posts and a million dollars by now.  That must have been so cool to earn that amount of money--I can't imagine what faucets were paying back then, and sig campaigns.  Did those exist in 2011?

You know of course that in 2020 we could all be looking back fondly on 2016.  I am hoping that happens.

I used to hunt herbs on a game called dragon's tale, i'd usually make around .2 btc profit(sometimes .5 btc)on .1 btc licence and gamble them for level up lol. it was fun back in 2012-13. :D

I remember buying my first Bitcoin for $35 or $38, and I only bought one.

It was too late for me to learn about bitcoin. the price was too high now. But even if I have heard about it in its early years, I may have not believed in it. Its price was too low back then and I probably will have reservations if the coins will be just another scam.

i remember the surge to the moon and the time that everybody could mine bitcoin back at their home with their PC and only using a decent GPU and earn a lot of money doing this.
but sadly i was too lazy to start mining bitcoin back then :(

I remember someone spamed my email about bitcoin, i had read a bit and deleted it considering it just another hyip. I had joined bitcoin just last year and im happy to be here nowadays, able to know almost all news and projects going live around bitcoin world.

it is more correct to say i know about it rather than remember!

The max_block_size was non-existent, and when implemented was significantly above average daily transaction demands.

i have this experience too. in 2015, its easy to reach 0.001BTC but now the rewards its really small and need weeks to reach 0.001BTC. and from faucet i can have budget to trading bitcoin-altcoin, i meet many market exchange in outside and trade many coins. for me its really good experience and i learning so much with this.

i have experience when the rate bitcoin is under $300 and its a really sad. but now, i guess the rate will still up so we can be happy even if we only have small bitcoin.

No. It was a wonderful time of joy and innocence, with ignore lists populated by kooks and trolls instead of spammers. Oh, how I yearn for those days.

I got familiar with bitcoin when the price hit $1200 back in 2013.

At the price of bticoin is $1 for each, i noob to not invest all of my money in them and i'm very feel so sorry in my self about that. and during several month the price is increasing with unpredictable into more than $1000 and damn, I don't take this moment.

I remember back in the day when it was common for most posters in the forum to have 500, 1,000 or even 5,000 BTC  and more at their disposal. Reading some of the posts now it appears that many people do not even have 2 x 0.1BTC to rub together. Even taking into account the exchange rate going up the average wealth of posters seems to have dropped considerably. Why is this so?

You must have earned lots of btc then.Hope you saved some to date.
I wasn't lucky enough to knew about bitcoin at that time but even I did,given my impatient nature,I am sure I would have sold many at slightest increase of price ;)
It is better to repent not having something than losing it

though i came to know of btc..2014 and i guess then it was still cheaper in exchanger rate, when buying or purchasing..though i didnt take it serious then, thinking is somekind of waste going into it...but to my supprise last year 2015, it was hit on the internet and its also serve as source of payment and one can invest with it...what really turn me on about btc, was collecting of satoshis from different faucets that can make up a bitcoin...though it needed time and effort... though i love that idea of it..

I remember the days when a CPU/GPU would still earn you some Satoshi's if you over clocked it to it's max. ^lol^ The faucets gave out enough bitcoins to buy nothing at all, so nothing changed since then. I still have some of those Satoshi's gathering dust in a Bitcoin address created just for faucets. ^smile^

In 2070 those Satoshi's will be worth a fortune, but I will not be around to have the pleasure to use them, my kids might be.

I didn’t know how bitcoin was from the early days but I do remember what I did from the first time I joined the bitcoin world. I claimed faucets, watched hundreds of ads and I typed captchas, and I did all of that all day long, especially the captchas, I used to type till my fingers can’t move anymore but I just got some 0.0001 BTC.

No such memories for me, I got into Bitcoin when the price was already above $900  :( Although I can still somewhat relate to what you're saying (albeit on a much smaller scale). I got into Dogecoin a week after it was released when mining was super easy. And I was ecstatic when it peaked at over 200 sat, I had bought a bunch in the 15 - 30 sat range  ;D

A very pleasant experience. While I know the bitcoin no experience quite fun, because at that point I just noticed bitcoin as currency and yet know forum or a group which speaks of bitcoin. I just saw or read on Google and after that I came to know this forum, this forum of my life be more blissful

I wanted to post almost the same.If Bitcoin keeps growing and improving in a few years we may talk about how some have earned a nice little fortune with signature campaigns when Bitcoin was still cheap. Then we will mostly talk and pay in bits and not Bitcoin anymore.
And yes this could be a possible scenario at the end of 2020 after the next halving.

Around last year of 2014 I saw bitcoin on PTC ads. And I try to googling more about bitcoin and found new worth way to earn extra money, I'm start to interested, search more about it then more interested with the technology. Until now.

Now you watch thousands of ads and you cant earn 0.01 bitcoin, At 2011 i didnt know about bitcoin maybe I have heard but didnt pay attention to that because it was something new and didnt know the potential of bitcoin that has now or will have in the next few years.

Those people who discovered bitcoin early are very lucky.
If I have a time machine, I'll get all the money I have, borrow a lot from lenders, go back to when bitcoin was created and then bought as much bitcoins as I can. Then pay the lenders. Make profit. Then repeat.

You are lucky person , because you have joined the Bitcoin world since 2011, in that time the Bitcoin price was very cheap , and sure you accumulated big experience over these years , for me , I have joined the Bitcoin world since 2015 ( about one year only ) , and I am glad to be one of the Bitcoin fans and part of this amazing community .

The first time i knew bitcoin when its price was like 100$. I guess it was in october 2013. Then everything has blown up, the madness started, people went to moon etc and the price tag was suddenly 1000$. Good old days.

I guess I was more lucky than being clever so i didn't believe that 40k$ price rumours and i get out before it is too late.

Yeah i remember but more late than you know about bitcoin around the year 2014, i try to find an information how to earn bitcoin free after that then i find this forum.

i remember a lot of things about bitcoin, the price rise to the moon, the solo mining hearing about them everywhere but what i have personally experienced is after a period of time passed and price was already heading down from the ATH :(

Back in Bitcoin's past, the feeling to own and use Bitcoin was quite different from today. It felt much more experimental and use was less serious than today. A lot of Bitcoin was wasted for extremely weird investments and openly advertised Ponzi schemes. These things are not entirely absent today, but people are much more serious when using Bitcoin and are caring a lot more about its value. I guess people today are much more aware that Bitcoin is real money, so they are less inclined to waste it just for fun.

I miss the early days, because all the chaos and drama around it was somehow inspiring. One felt like swimming in some kind of primordial ooze, being curious if evolution would start and where it would lead to. In addition the Bitcoin community was much more anarchist and critical of the establishment than today. Nowadays, a lot of trader idiots have entered the community, that are just looking for some unsustainable fiat return and do not care about Bitcoin's origin at all.

maybe it is because back then apart from price being super low that you could actually buy 1BTC with a couple of bucks another reason could be the ease of mining.
you could decide you wanted to make bitcoin, then all you had to do was download the wallet and a miner and start earning bitcoin by solo mining with reward of 50BTC per block.

because there is no other way to make free bitcoins, to be honest in my opinion the easiest way is to participate in signature campaigns

Faucets and just faucets, non stop faucets just to get that quota for a day. I even looked for an app in my android that could make me some bitcoin. Those days of sleepless night to earn some decent freebies for a day.  ;D

Yup, indeed the faucet is a way the most widely sought by all. Because the way to get the bitcoin is much easier than any other way. But it also takes quite a long time, if they want to get the bitcoin we want. Paramount must have an unyielding spirit and soul

Must of be in 2011 bitcoin was worth 0.50$ each. hehe :D

yeah, this forum was basically one of the best findings for me either, as far as i remember when i started with bitcoins it was really small and unfortunately i didnt buy bitcoins

though i got to know of bitcoin last year...and first thing i did was to visit faucets to earn...but later moved to buy..and start mining..its was pretty cool..

First experience with bitcoin was Dogecoin back in college. Used to mine at about 30 khs on my PoS computer.

Got in early with GAW miners and made about $3k profit before they went SCAM mode.

Got in early ltcgear.com and did the whole " 1 more time and im out" and lost about $3k.

All in all its been fun  ;D

Fun fact: My sisters husband was one of the guys in the room for the famous "10k bitcoin for a pizza" we laugh about that day fondly.

I discovered bitcoin too late cause the price is high already and earning bitcoins is not easy especially in faucets, It's a waste of time if you do that now unless you have that refferal thing. How I wish I discovered bitcoin early

I assume most people who had that amount were mining. No one who arrives here now can afford to do that, or if they can it's hardly worth it. And anyone here in the early days would have to be really committed to seek this place out. these days any whack job can stumble across it and join in.

i'd love to see more average joes but we're nowhere near that yet. we have pioneers, scammers, weirdos, the curious and maybe some regular folks too. no one writing on here is average. most people would still think we were all nuts.

I came to know about bitcoin a bit late,around 2013 and i also started in from faucets like many others and i used to work all day in faucets to earn few pennies of satoshies.But still if i could compare with today that amount was good.I used freebitco.in faucet a lot and was able to won 0.01btc approx few times in one roll.

When I first was taught a little about BTC it was just over the $1200 peak and the guy telling me about it thought it might start going back up again any minute, he was killing it on DOGE, he gave me my first .01BTC to cryptsy to trade..

I sold some DOGE @ 242sat, bought DRK in its first couple days on an exchange, watched XPY hit $20, made a killing on and witnessed the AUR pump..
Those were the good old days for me..

I just traded and traded trying to bank more and more BTC never really caring what the BTC price was other than how its movements effected ALT trading, I never really cared what the BTC price was because I always did and still do believe in BTC..


By the time the big UNB pump was over I had turned my .01 BTC into over 1.25 BTC and sold most of it around $300 to buy the intercooler I needed for my Turbo Porsche project because I was really broke in real life and it was summertime time to be outside not staring at crypto books for 70 hours a week..

IDK if I regret selling then, sometimes I do and sometimes I don't..


Started trading again and made a bunch more BTC again and this time I bought a casascius coin with all of it so I won't just spend it on something..

I had to borrow .01BTC the other day to get back in trading and was able to pull 230% profit, over trippled it in a couple days so I payed it back and have enough BTC to get my trading on again now..

Maybe these are still the good old days.. I don't think the good times are over, it has all just begun..

We all goes up to another level. It is just for a good start and it helped. It will make you think also rhat every satoshi is important specially now with its price. When I think of how hard it is to get some back then I am getting aware of wasting it in gambling and hyips cause every bit is money in my eyes.

with your track record you'd better be careful. some whale on here might track you down and keep you chained up in his basement doing trades for him.

Chances are he cashed out when the price went up considerably, so chances are he's quite well off right now and he's probably still working. 2000 Bitcoins back a while ago was a hefty return when the price spiked, and chances are even if he sold them today he would be doing incredibly well. That's something like... a million dollars actually. If he was to sell them each at $500.

chances are they were scammed off him or he sold for not very much. the first massive spike was $32. A $64,000 return on what might have been a few bucks would've been enough for most people. no one could've known how quickly it would rise from there.

Yeah, I think very few people would not cash out a significant portion of their Bitcoins if they experience such a rise in value.
Can't imagine someone buying coins for like 0.10 dollars and holding that to sell at $1000

The early days were more fun though, a lot more community driven effort here on the forum, people literally giving away nice amounts of Bitcoins for various services etc.

Well im just newbie in bitcoin but before i remember bitcoins before some offering or telling me about bitcoin they said that i can earn in bitcoins.. 2011 i was looking for earnings online i just ignore bitcoins before that i didnt know if bitcoin is scam or not.. its a worst thing that i just ignore that bitcoins before.. and now the price of bitcoin is high and we are now adopting and holding bitcoin to make a profit..

I remember a time when I needed all day or even more to make 0.001 btc or 1 mBTC. Claiming faucets that give no more then 1000 sat. per claim, and that was a good prize. Now I spin slots where is 0.5 mBTC minimum spin, I made a nice progress in just few months.
I also remember when price was around 300 $, struggling to pass 350 $. And look at the price now almost doubled and its gonna go more up, at least we are waiting that to happen.
I can just imagine what early adopters remind about, they are full with incredible stories for sure. Eh how I didn`t saw bitcoins a bit earlier.

I remember i bought my first bitcoin when its price was around 200$ and now its 3 times more than that.I was collecting few satoshies from the faucets like moonbit and many other faucets.I also used to collect the dogecoins at that time.At that time price of dogecoins was much higher and loved to collect them more than the bitcoins.

I wish I could started using bitcoin since 2011. But unfortunately I have started adopting bitcoin from 2015 when it was already popular and used by many people. So I have started earning in fractions from faucets.

Then I started trading bitcoin and also started p2p loans, then I started seeing big money. If I had started using it since 2011, I could have made a fortune for me by now.

We ordered one of the first Asic Miners in 2012 and we were also too late to the game for bitcoin, I sold my half to a friend who set up a mining room and still makes good money to this day trading tghe machines around and mining altcoins

When BTC was new, some gave me 130 coins, instead of a pay check for a job I did that was worth roughly 600$. Every day I'd check on them and some days their value went down but most days it went up.
It was really exciting and I felt really lucky because I wasn't a bitcoiner, in fact I was not even happy to receive them in the first place. I was upset not to get 600$ and was mad at the guy who gave them to me lol.

then over time their value went up to roughly 40k, then they crashed and went down to 10K, I was devastated for a while but made the correct choice not to sell the coins and they went back up to almost 160K but I sold at 65k as it was going up. ( it went down 20 bucks in a day and I panicked it was happening again)

It was to this day my most life changing event and I'm thankful for finding it all the time.

I'm a personal trainer and even though no one offers to pay in BTC, I still let my clients know I accept it because of the one time it payed off ;)

When I started bitcoin price was 200 $, I remember freebitcoin faucet was more then 800 satoshis, price started to go up and rewards to go down. There was a lot of poker free roll tournaments, with very nice prizes.
Now price is 3 times more then year ago, even then was great time for buying bitcoins. I didn't have money for that, but I suggested that to everyone I know, people didn't take me for serious.

Price was good to buy at that time and even today price is good to buy if we keep in mind future price of bitcoin, price will go much higher in future so its good to buy some coins now.

maybe i was new for bitcoin because i know bitcoin when the price approximately $600-$700 at 2014 and i was remember on that year there is one big exchange mintpal.com and there are plenty new altcoins want to listed on those exchange and give free altcoins as the vote reward to people who completing the task

it takes a reason to bring the value up, it doesn't just grow like a plant lol. but I agree it will go higher

I mined 0.022 with my laptop. That is saying a BIG thing about mining, it should be evolving, it should be changing, I mean if the industry of mining rises to a point where one man invents something that mines 90% of the coins whats then?

Aside from the mining history, I once got 0.06 from a faucet, well a rotator, there was a site called landofbitcoin, I went through all faucets twice everyday and on my third or fourth day I had 0.06 bitcoins.
Of course they didn't worth anything but still nice memory.

I remember playing on the original Seals With Clubs poker site in the weekly Big BTC 60 btc Guaranteed tournaments when their would only be between 5-12 players.

Also there used to be a heads up poker site, forgot the name, that ran free roll heads up tourneys every 30 minutes with first prize being something like .200 or .500 btc or something incredibly insane.

thats true, people are just holding their bitcoins and expect it to grow though they need to buy not only wait, right now im buying a lot of bitcoins

buying certainly helps the economy, but i mean a reason that causes people to buy or even beyond that causes people to adopt (buy and sell regularly) that would drive the price up, not jus ta disiaster that causes peopel to abandon regukar money but an incentive to use BTC at the same time (which i believe there are many in place)

I remember a few surveys you could complete and get like .005 or something BTC. This was like less than a fraction of a penny if I remember correctly at the time. People were dishing out BTC for simple tasks. Anyone could make bank off of it if they hopped on early enough.

Because the value right now is way more higher than before. Bitcoin in earlier days is not that popular and value is very low. Thats why is very hard to reach your minimum earning from faucet. 0.001 right now is almost a dollar right compare at the earlier days 0.001 i think its ranging for about $0.05 a day. That is not worth for a living

Not for bitcoin in this time, from yesterday the price is not showed markings of the price will decrease or increase. in my minds altcoins is more best section become a place to investing your money in this time. but I sure you will not wanna to saving your coins for a long time ago.

The value in fiat comparing that time with the current time maybe is the same but the volume in bitcoin is different which makes the early adopters to earn pretty good because that they risked by investing in bitcoin, maybe after tens of years people will say remember the time when the price was $600, which is currently lol.

W bitcoin was new and it's price was 1$ or less there is many people interested about crypto currencies took this opportunity to hold as much as they can of bitcoin. It's changing life opportunity.

When Bitcoin was new, and I sold 47 BTC to pay a 400$ credit card debt,  I was so proud of myself. I now fucking hate Visa more than anyone else!! :-\

Last time I remember about bitcoin was when it was priced around $230 then the next thing I knew it raised to about $350. I still regret the fact that I did not buy it when the price was around $230. I could have gained a lot of profit from then.

It must be a blunder mistake unlike early adopters. Early adopters never got chances to know the real potential of bitcoin, but missing out to buy cheaper even after bitcoin has tested $1000+ price levels must be life time big mistake.

Oh man those faucets were dope! I used to have them going all day. I wish I could actually calculate how much money those translated for me. I used to joke and tell people I was mining when I was using them. LOL!

I just remember when bitcoin as a payment to those paid to view ads. If i know it that bitcoin would grow bigtime then maybe im rich now  on just farming on that ads site itslef i guess but sadly i missed that opportunity since no one expected for the bitcoins price to go up as of now.

I remeber when a friend came to me saying that there is such a thing which is called Bitcoin, it's kind of an "internet money" and that the price of one coin is around $5. I asked why would I need this thing? And he said "I don't know, to buy something on the internet". At the time I didn't have enough money to buy normal stuff in normal stores so I thought that would be mega stupid to buy those useless "internet money" for $5 each. )

Yep, mining is changing. The difficulty of mining at least is changing after years, it's called the halving if you aren't familiar of it.

And no, it's not possible to mine 90% of the coins by inventing "something". By owning 90% of the mining stuffs in the whole world, then you can mine 90% of the coins. But a single thing cannot mine 90% of the coins, at the present moment at least. Humans never managed to make a rig so powerful that it can mine that big portion of coins.

i remember the first time i heard about bitcoin i didn't even care enough to research further about it and learn more about bitcoin, and in my defense i have to say the person who told me about bitcoin had no idea about what it really is and said some bizarre stuff about mining and solving mathematical equations which was boring to even listen to :D

We missed this opportunity when the Bitcoin was new with very low price, i think it was very profitable time for the holders to buy as much as they can of bitcoins

As someone who had money in BTC back then, I can tell you its not that simple. As an original profiteer of BTC, I pulled out 20 grand off like 760$ or something like that a small amount I don't even remember. It was an a amazing win for me but I could have turned it into way more if I hung on longer. Its just when BTC was new no one really knew what was going to happen.

the first big climb went all the way up to roughly 250 USD pr coin, followed by a crash that brought it all the way back down to 50 USD per coin. I was lucky and sold at 250 USD but when it crashed every magazine and trusted economic scholar said it was over and it would disappear, so I challenge any of you to have actually been through that and had the faith not to sell at that point.

it also sat like that in the 50$ shitter for an entire year and I know many people that cashed in, and they'd say Jo your so lucky you sold at 250$ any way 1 year later it went up to 1200$ per coin (roughly) and If you hung on until then, you deserved the huge payout you got.

point is, its not as simple as being early, its how early and when you got out. Even 20 k was an amazing life changing gain. But I will forever know it could have been way more and trust me people who had 10 000 btc that were worth pennies and sold them at a dollar feel the say way

At that time it was the best investment you can make for your money. But today it is also one of the best investments, not just for your money, but more specific to use it.
The future of bitcoin is tremendous and i would be surprised if adoption will not come soon.

I remember when I first got to know about Bitcoin, I had installed a client called Multibit and began using faucets, back then this was a very new thing and very few faucets existed. They did pay a bit more than they actually do now. Before this, I still did keep hearing about Bitcoins, but I barely bothered to invest in it.

I have clearly Remember how I got my first bitcoin it was 2009.I was join in a skype group and group owner give me 5 btc.group owner have a forum posting job we just make account different forum and post his CPA offer he paid us 5 BTC per forum post.I sold 1 BTC=24 cents.God damn who know price will be reach to Moon.LOL ;D

wow. you gotta be the winner of this thread so far. I dunno how i'd feel if i'd had a taste of it in 2009 and not gotten further into it there and then. I would probably feel extremely sad but also a little smug too.

Unfortunately i discovered bitcoin just in 2016 and i dont really have memories with it. Maybe after 5 years we will open a new topic here on the forum and share our memories from now  :D :D ;D ;D

When BTC was new someone offered me 1000 of them to clean his car, that same dude sold me 4 of them a few months ago to play poker with for 500$ each, we had a good laugh about it.

ofcourse i remember the day i was new in bitcoin world way back 2013 - the year im searching what is bitcoin, and what about bitcoin , what bitcoin can do and then i started to earn in faucet where i solve captcha's to earn bitcoins or satoshi's but i love and i don't know what is it then i search for it and the currency and then im here right now knowing more about bitcoin world

Definitely we would make a memories sharing in the future regarding bitcoin as of now. Maybe there would be a new forum or the same  to express our memories  of bitcoin. I think  the price would be high on that time  that can make as laugh and cry  if we dont buy enough coins as of now.

That was the very same reaction I had when someone introduced me to bitcoin back in the years. I never really cared to listen to him and next thing I knew, he become somewhat a millionaire (in our currency) from continuously mining and holding bitcoins. His mistake however was when he sold them at $470 from when we were hitting the $450 wall. But still, it's a heck load of profit he made from about 700 bitcoins.

I started to know Bitcoin in 2014, so it's slightly not different than now. What I can remember in 2013 is I ever heard about a news about Bitcoin that said this digital money has become very popular on the internet. But I still not interested with it, until someday my friend told me about it and I started to know it.

I joined the Bitcoin community in 2012. It wasn't soq early but things were different then anyway.  But I remember that I felt like the part of something new, exciting and revolutionary

Wow..... I wish I was here at the time that happened. I would have had now maybe hundreds of BTCs, because I don't even have where to really spend it in my country.

I remember the hype in 2013 when it reached $1k. I used to play with all the faucets possible, trying to get even 50k satoshis :D I really wish sometime in the future we'll talk about the moments I'm writing this post right now being 'good times'.. I hope in the future we'll see like 1 satoshi be about $0.001 or something :D that would mean the BTC price to be $100000 though!

I don't remember any site that give out 0.01 Bitcoin for viewing advertisement. I do remember faucets that give out a lot of Bitcoin though. Probably around 10K Satoshi per claim? I am not really sure because that happened a long time ago - not really, just a few years. I also remember that at one point, when Bitcoin price hit 1000 USD, my faucet earning rise from 10 cents to 1 dollar. Which is equivalent to today 50 cents at today's rate. :).

I remember buying my first Bitcoin for $278, and I only bought 2 BTC, after that every month I was buought about 0,5 BTC, it's also I use for my deposit and speculation

I remember the big dump to 200 dollar. And since I am not new enough to live the 1300 experience,the 670 mark was impressive for me.

I know about the recent bitcoin, bitcoin the first time I can only rely on my income through the taps. claimed after the click captcha. every day I can get 0.0005 BTC. but this time it was very difficult to get over despite spending so much time and effort as the faucet itself a low appreciation. maybe this time I only rely bitcointalk to get bitcoin from signture campaign.

I heard this before but not interested how it works etc. I stump again this bitcoin late last year and I started joining from faucets. Spend time also with those captchas. Then after I save some bitcoin i invest on double your bts,HTIP and it turns out, its a scam haha Too bad, but as our elder says "Experienced is the best teacher".

If i knew about bitcoin that the price will increase i collected it or mine in true video card but i just ignore it before i thought that its a scam thats why i just ignore bitcoins before..
But now i am late and i found also this forum for bitcoin if i know this forum before maybe ill stay collecting bitcoin.. and make a huge money right now.

this is kind of hard to read. since it feels like you are late to the party and the gold rush is over. but considering how "small" the userbase is and that we still might go mainstream, it still is early. i hope i can be one day a part of some newbies dream ;) 

unfortunately i wasn't part when bitcoin in the lowest price and when bitcoin reach the highest price and i'm in bitcoin when the price at $600 and it does happened maybe in 2014 but i had remember on that year Stellar has give millions STR and people always talking about this because every facebook accounts if we selling STR for bitcoin people could got 0.02 btc each person

i never got 0.01btc for any ads watching but there was a time when i get 1000satoshi per hour from freebitco.in site those time there was not even a multiplyer thing so people like to withdrwal their coins but today these are only 30% than those days

I remember how was when I joined to Bitcoin community in 2012. It was so exciting and new for me. I felt like I was the part of some kind of revolution. And when I spoke about the Bitcoin to my friends they looked me as I was insane. Even then many people didn't beleive that Bitcoin will survive on long term.

The earliest BTC thing I remember was when Coinbase just launched and was offering 0.10 BTC for each referred user and the referral as well "so 0.2 BTC total"... at the time it was $10 or so but now it's just a big amount of money considering how many of these they gave...

Well, I have seen the levels of $300 and I still remember that some (online) friends used to give me tips to buy and hold Bitcoin. I was doing my business of domain name reselling and earned some Bitcoins and I was impressed with the benefits of using crypto as I was harassed by the popular fiat payment processors and critical restrictions of my country regarding international trades even after following all the rules and regulations. People were calling Bitcoin a bubble then and there are the people who call Bitcoin bubble even today, but Bitcoin kept growing building its utility value.

Most of us are really late. Only few of us are here before when the price is really at the 2 or 3 digit mark and I'm sure that it was really a good time because those who remain and just hold on it really take a good rewards specially 2017. However, it is still not late to go and invest on it even though the price is above $7K, Down the line we might see it making a significant growth so its better to join the hype train anytime.

I am just being here since 2016. That's not too early but I see most of people here made very good quality post, some of them do that to get payment in btc by joining signature campaign. The rate is not so high in usd but since it paid with btc then it is very worth. I personally have joined some signature campaign when btc price is bellow $2000. I only keep my btc on my wallet and now the value is grow so much.

Remember when bitcoin was new and there is a lot of people that are skeptical to it but now it is now popular and a lot of people are going with bitcoin because it is like the best investment for them since they can make a lot of money with bitcoin in just a few weeks or months of holding. Bitcoin is still new and it is the future of our financial system.

I didn’t know how Bitcoin was from the early days but I do remember what I did from the first time I joined the bitcoin world. I watched hundreds of ads and I typed captchas, and I did all of that all day long. I had joined Bitcoin just last year and I am happy to be here nowadays, able to know almost all news and projects going live around Bitcoin world.

I remember when bitcoin was less than a dollar but at that time I failed to invest because I thought it was a scam. At that time, there were so many scams promising to make people rich and thought bitcoin was one of them. I did not invest until bitcoin was already over $300. It is good to take risks.

for the first time, I knew bitcoin, I remember the price was $200-$300, I never thought that bitcoin price can increase more than $19k. I am collecting satoshi by satoshi by playing faucet like what people did in that time. I remember have to said like this "geez, it will need much time before I can collect a whole 1 bitcoin" but suddenly, I visit in the poloniex and then I am trying to trading and learning about trading. When I first heard about bitcoin was during my foray into hyips and ponzis online back in 2015. I got puzzled by it and wanted to know how I could acquire. Around this period, Bitcoin was worth $500 or thereabout

I am one of the people who regretted that I didn't immediately believe bitcoin. I was a snob at first and think it is a scam, thinking how can you earn money from that. I don't have a slightest idea of what is bitcoin, that good benefits it brings and how this crypto can change lives of some of my friends even my brother. Only this year, that I join and embrace this bitcoin and I am really happy I am a bitcoin owner now.

here is same situation when bitcoin price was 300$ on that time i had 4 bitcoin and i sold it on very low price if i hold my this 4bitcoin now i will gain highest profit and bought a luxury car for me. now i blamed to some people who spread fake news about bitcoin because  on that time peoples spread the fake news that bitcoin will die soon  than i afraid and sold my all bitcoins it was my big mistake.

I remember once I saw on the news that bitcoin has increased by 25$ c 1$/ I then so much wanted to buy, but I dissuaded and said that it was all pyramid scheme fraud. I really regret that I did not buy them then.

I do not know the start of bitcoin, but seeing some people post about their story and bitcoin, I think it's too valuable. Bitcoin is too young to collapse.
I am also sorry to see some people blaspheme bitcoin, saying that bitcoin is just a ponzi, a scam or bitcoin is outdated. Those who say so are people who do not understand about bitcoin travel. No matter how difficult bitcoin passes market competition, because all they want is profit.

Bitcoin in its early age was great the price was so low that you could even earn almost 0.5btc in a month or so, it was so low that bitcoin was so cheap you can earn a lot, though you gotta appreciate bitcoin in those years but you also gotta give respect and salute to bitcoin now that it has grown to its very potential though it will continue to grow as years continue to pass by.

Bitcoin at it early stage was very low, I was ignorant about it then, I had no idea what it was up to, I would have purchased at least 100 of it. Now It is difficult for me to even purchase one of it. So Sad. Those who got it then, and were able to hold it are rich now.

Well you are not the only one who already know bitcoin back in 2011 but chooses to ignore it. I already knew bitcoin in 2011 but I never thought that it will be where it is right now. I thought that its nothing but a fad, however, I was totally wrong and regret not fully understands what it can really bring that time. I didn't think it was a fraud though, more of a fad that will simply go away when all the hype is gone.

I don't think about bitcoin amid its initial years (2009 - 2014), yet path back mid 2015, my first time in bitcoin world, I can depend my income through spigots as it were. That is to say, asserting on spigots were extremely justified, despite all the trouble. I used to do it just amid my extra time and to the extent I recall that, I'm winning at least BTC0.001 every day. Not at all like today, it is extremely difficult to get that esteem even you invested such an extensive amount your energy and exertion imo since fixtures as of now have low rewards.

first time i heard about bitcoin in 2013 , just heard its name bcoz of price . bcoz any currency without any govt support is worth more than 1 dollar is almost a surprise and at that time it was around $300-400 . but did not research on it and let it go .
then in 2017 I heard about it again when prices were $1500-2000 , i thought it is just a share market type asset , but in Q3 my friends recommended me to see this thing and after that i did my own research also . later with more news and knowledge i understood why we should take decentralization and blockchain tech as most innovative invention of this century so far . prices might be dipped but if world accept blockchain tech then it will be a real victory for us .

I remembered back in 2010 when a BTC ad popped up on my monitor and guess what, I ignored it! Haha! A normal reaction by someone who is really not into online technical stuff, if I could put it that way. Who ever expected that something that used to be worth $0.01 almost 9 years ago, is now worth thousands of $! Crazy....

The most memorable so far is just a sense of regret over the decisions made in the past few years, especially before the price fluctuation in December last year, where bitcoin prices in the past few years are cheap and affordable for anyone who wants to get it.

I was knew about bitcoin when 2013 or 2014, and thats from a forum in Indonesia, i was used to claim faucet everyday, that was sweet time to remember, and my mistake is i've install the wallet without aware to making copies for wallet file, skip for couple years, im back again because bitcoin price skyrocketing, and i can't restore my wallet, coz my laptop is reinstall with fully wipe :). Maybe thats only 0.3btc, but thats still a money :(

it is true. when bitcoin is new still not many people are familiar with bitcoin and the price is still not how. even let alone in the year 2009. in early 2017 bitcoin prices so still 30 - 40 million rupiah .and by the end of 2017 the price of bitcoin has reached 295 million rupiah. and that often happens in 2018 bitcoin price of 90 -130 million rupiah. never reached 150 million rupiah but rarely and have never seen it again .

are you serious that in 2011 the bitcoin price is $ 35?

why do not you buy lots of bitcoin? how do you feel when you hear that in 2017 bitcoin prices reach $ 20000?

I am not sure when you entered the market, i would like to ask you assuming that you entered the market last year, why don't you buy a lot coins last year because the price was well below thousand dollars, no one thought or had any idea how this will catch up or work and the risk was the same as now but with the price really low you could have purchased a lot of coins but the risk was higher as we did not have a clue how this will work moving forward.

Wery lucky people early bitcoin users when they can buy a lot of bitcoin at a cheap price, of course they have become rich at this time. I joined in bitcoin end of 2012 where the price collapsed. and I had my first loss at the time, but I once bought bitcoin in the $100-$200 price range. but unfortunately I sold it a few years ago, unlucky..

I did not knew bitcoin when it was on the starting position. That seems regrets but I should accept it for we cannot go back to the past and bring back the price of bitcoin. Now bitcoin is very expensive to me that I can't afford.

if I start following bitcoin very hard, and confused for how to work, and long time I became addicted, because bitcoin can benefit a lot of money, and my memories can get much by bitcoin.

When I started bitcoin price was 200 $, I remember freebitcoin faucet was more then 800 satoshis, price started to go up and rewards to go down. There was a lot of poker free roll tournaments, with very nice prizes.

At that time, I paid little attention to bitcoin, and in those rare moments when I was intermingled about it, other people told me that it was more like fraud. Now I remember how I was a fool when I believed in it   ;D

My story is not fun about BTC. In 2011 BTC was busy reported by many media. Even at that time many Chinese people are investing BTC. However, the response of other countries to the BTC tend to ignore it and not even a few who think that BTC will not last long. And finally I thought the same at the time. Year after year passed until mid-2017 I heard the BTC price reached US $ 7000 and the news shocked me. Because I know at that time (around 2011) BTC prices do not reach US $ 1. Not long afterwards I finally joined this forum and much to learn what is BTC and coin / other tokens.

It was last year when i start to join bitcoin in which that time bitcoin was booming. But i was positive that i can be given a chance to earn even if i was so new.  And yes its right i was able to earn good.

You are lucky that you know about bitcoin that time if you saved all the bitcoin you collected from that adds then you are probably rich now. For me I remember when bitcoin was below $1,000 and the rewards in joining signature campaign are really good.

Imagine in just less than a decade the journey became truly a success. and as I know about bitcoin is when they start bitcoin value is too small like twenty dollars per coin and now its value really reaches almost twenty thousand dollars

I didn't remember what and when I was knowing about bitcoin. But I remember I ever had 2 bitcoins and waste them in an exchange when the price is below 2000 USD. I remember too when I use it to buy alot of Ethereum just for send them to local exchange. Very epic. moments and now I have only 0.00xxx bitcoin 😂. I hope in the end of this year I have minimum 1 bitcoin in my wallet.

One thing I can't forget about bitcoin was 4 years ago it was constantly appearing in many websites as advertisement and i just ignored it. It is one of my greatest regret if only I got curious and learn more about it maybe i have collected and earned more bitcoins by now.

I'm new, so I don't have long memories of bitcoin yet. I started to recognize bitcoin last year when I saw the news that bitcoin was no longer a steam game payment. after that I look for bitname information and try to get it. at that time I was directed to fauchet and did not succeed. after that I was recognized by my friend in this forum around early 2018, and I feel better again.

I remember first time i got my bitcoin for a plusses its a coin for a forum site this is use in gambling like lucky nine and jack en poy i traded my plusses for around 10 btc that time the value of that bitcoin is around 70 dollars or less, i am not interested about bitcoin objective that time my only interest is the value so i traded it in just a day and bought some snacks and watch tv lol.

I was around when that happened before and till today I am still regretful I didn't started using bitcoin during that time. As I remember bitcoin price back then was super cheap and almost amount to nothing. If I only knew that bitcoin would blow up like this I could have bought a couple of bitcoins and would have become rich right now.

I remember bitcoin way back 2014-2015, I used to collect on free faucets that time. I really don't have and idea what bitcoin is, what I do then was to collect satoshi in free faucets. I just enjoyed collecting and receiving them in my wallet which I used to by load for my mobile phone. I enjoyed doing that almost everyday, I didn't even realize how bitcoin could me more valueable after a few years. If could turn back the time, I guess I am a millionaire now.

Yes when it was like 10$ then immediately crashed after that. I panic sold.

Yes, I also remember at that time. It was too easy to earn bitcoin. I earned bitcoin by facet, pay to click and short link. I see the history in my coinbase wallet, at that time, I got 0.01284 bitcoin, around 0.15$ and sold 0.063 bitcoin with price is 30$ in 2014.  :D

In year 2009 there are easy to earn bitcoin by watching ads but if you sell it it on cheap price. i remember im need to watch short ads and i will earn .01 btc it is very easy to earn just like using faucet or shortlink. But now i hope that goodtimes will back so that many people earn money and get some things that they want and to help there family. it is very shocking that bitcoin now is very expensive today. Very regreting selling it on the time that is very cheap.

As I see most of people here beame involved into cryptocurrency in 2015. Why was that year so special?

I recall the time when people began to share rumors about something new, about Bitcoin, not understandable for them. They were afraid to try, even at a price of 50$. Then everyone was puzzled. Only a few were aware of the issues and invested in the future.

I wish I had a time machine and go back to time and invest all my money on Bitcoin lol ;D But now here I am at the bitcointalk forum and doing some bounties, investing, trading and hodling my favorite crypto currencies. 8)

LMAO, at those times, I swear I never heard about Bitcoin or saw people talking about Bitcoin on forums or any elsewhere. I heard about this precious technology on 2017 and started to join this very informative forum called bitcointalk and my world becomes much bigger. 8)

yes at that time bitcoin is not as high now, even there are many phenomenon of fraud from some faucet. I used to join but not long because there are many mistakes, but now everything is changing. bitcoin becomes the king of all crypto

there is someone I remember noticing about my email here in bitcoin, but I read for a moment and it is erased considering it's one of them to be hyip. I participated in bitcoin last year and I am happy to be here at these times, as I know most of the news and projects that bitcoins around the world really work.

Was not among those that started using bitcoin early but I always thank the Stars that I joined this community. I missed the days when faucet was worth something. I started in bitcoin about a year ago and I dont really have that trust when it comes to this crypto thing since Im still starting and dont really have that experience yet. One of my friend actually shared to me the perks of investing and having a bitcoin in those days and I was really amazed by it and later on invested some of my money in it though I still have my doubts. I remember when I first got my profit in bitcoin back in august last year and I was really amazed by it decided to continue and found a fortune in the last months of the year 2017.

I start learn bitcoin in the end last year, bitcoin have a price on million dollar and I think that was expensive and first I join trading buy coin when the price is drop and sell when the price grow up or stable until now ;D

Yes ... when bitcoin could buy 100 bitcoins for 1 dollar. And everyone laughed, they said that it would never become popular. And when bitcoin began to cost 100 dollars ... they said that well, that's it, right now the bubble will burst ... but it costs 22 thousand dollars ...

I remember when bitcoin is new and one of my classmate talking about it. The price of the bitcoin of that time is very low but he saying it's starting to go up. But we can't buy btc because we are just only student and btc not available to our country. And when btc starting to go to the moon my country is late , because we can't afford so much btc we can just buy few cause it price. If my country know about it early we can be a rich people now.

With my stories from the past, I am clear with this one thing that bitcoin is very sustainable crypto currency and since when it was introduced in 2098 and till now it has made tremendous progress and I seriously respect bitcoin for this, I know the time when people considered bitcoin a Ponzi scheme and called it a buy, though some calls it now also but they then rejected that thing are now regretting and including me and those who has believe it are now the bitcoin billionaires.

I knew bitcoin last year, at the beginning I knew the bitcoin price was high and so many valuable coins at the time, to get it did not take a long time, unlike now so hard to get paid and to exchange it should wait for the market. today so many coins come out without a market to sell them.

I saw the bitcoin 5 years ago in online gaming, they are using bitcoin as a prize for the winners, i don't also imagine that bitcoin will prosper especially the rally of 2017 that bitcoin reaches it's high peak value of 20kUSD. I know bitcoin since 2016 when this was 500$ and that time my Facebook friends investing in revenue share industries and i also invested because i don't  know where to invest this bitcoin because i wanna earn and i was scammed and loose approx 1 bitcoin then i know about trading and start slowly this was my first bitcoin experience.

Oh yes, the good old days. At that time it was worth using faucets or bitcoinget.com. On very good days, I earned 0.1 Bitcoins there in a short time. I like to remember these days. I also remember that people advertised Bitcoin with, there are no transaction fees. But that was really long time ago.  ;)

To be honest, I was always amazed at the people who found the growth of bitcoin from its very birth! I learned about bitcoin only a few years ago! I saw several times the price wave bitcoin! Well I don't have any experienced in early bitcoin days because I know the existence of it last year of July 2017, But If I could turn back the time for sure I want to be a benefactor of bitcoin and I will hold it up to now because bitcoin is very cheap on early stage and now it is very valuable in terms of price but I'm still happy because I still have a chance to become success in this field.

Well, first I have to say that I am amazed reading the guy that says he used to cash out about 5 BTC from faucets. I was not as lucky as him, I knew about Bitcoin just a little less than 2 years ago, but I bought a several BTC at only 900 usd (it is the lowest price that I bought at) I joined on the most incredible bull run and made about 1000% profit (sold at about 10k usd) I bought back at 5k usd, now I am thinking on being a long term investor and in about 5 years I can say: (I remember when bitcoin was only 20k usd).

On the first day when I got the first Bitcoin wallet, I visited the site called bitvisitors and  I was like 10 to 20 ads and lifted you like 20000 to 30000 Satoshi. There was a lot of sites which Pay like 10000 satoshis every hour. Surely those were the good days we miss now. I just spend a lot of time on those faucets which pay me like 0.01btc every day. And that's how I earn my first cryptocurrency.

I remember that there were a lot of people considering bitcoin as a joke, or something related to that. And they were tiping "comments" on reddit for 1 - 10 btc each.. when it was less than a few cents.

It is necessary to invent a time machine! And tell all those in need (for example, countries in Africa) about bitkoyne and its capabilities. Or to connect as many ordinary PCs as possible, that there would be no corporations to extract bitcoin. Until the end of 2017 there were friends who were able to buy luxury homes and luxury cars from bitcoin, I was surprised and disappointed why not take part in bitcoin while the price of bitcoin is still cheap. If now the price of bitcoin is too high.

I remember it was possible to earn 10 bitcoins playing the lottery on a certain scheme and vlazhivat was not necessary and the conclusion was clear !
