Title: GTX 970, 1070, 1080 hashing speed, W, Temps LBRY, Lyra2ReV2, Neoscrypt, Blake2b Post by: Nikolaj on August 18, 2016, 01:03:34 PM Hi all
I wrote this article, for now in Italian, where you can check some very interesting values for these VGA's GTX 970 Zotac Reference, with a custom heatsink from Arctic, Hybrid III 140mm (photos and details in the second article) GTX 1070 PNY Founders Edition GTX 1070 Inno3D TwinX2 GTX 1070 Inno3D Ichill X4 GTX 1070 Zotac AMP Extreme GTX 1070 MSI AERO GTX 1080 Inno3D TwinX2 http://www.xtremehardware.com/images/stories/NIKOLAJ/Roundup_GTX_pt1/INTRO_00002.jpg I've added these data, in the charts: http://www.xtremehardware.com/recensioni/schede-video/roundup-gtx-1070-e-gtx-1080-analisi-e-confronto-dei-piu-recenti-modelli-custom-nvidia-pascal-parte-1-2016080211648/?start=16 In the tabs, from left to right, you'll be able to find a lot of interesting datas, like power consumption, reference/overclock/underclock, hashing speed, temperatures, frequency settings and RAM usage with the single ALGO. If you would be so kind to comment the article here, I would thank you a lot. It've taken a lot of time and effort, all for free. http://www.xtremehardware.com/forum/showthread.php?t=49212&page=2 I've got a company that will be able to produce and ship also a very interesting solution, a 4U cabinet pretty unique: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1586147.0 Please let me know, there, what you think and what are your needs. Thank you Title: Re: GTX 970, 1070, 1080 hashing speed, W, Temps LBRY, Lyra2ReV2, Neoscrypt, Blake2b Post by: QuintLeo on August 18, 2016, 08:45:02 PM The print is so microscopic the charts CAN'T BE READ - and I can't figure out any way to make them big enough to BE readable.

What broswer have you got? I can see them at full resolution on chrome, even on my mobile phone.. Try to clear your cache, it could help. In a couple of days I'll insert some more graphs, just to show the W/MH ratios. It's a technical article, I needed it for a personal use to evaluate these video cards, for a serial use. There have been some interesting findings, for example the possibility to: - use a gtx 1070 on lbry with a power consumption of just 88W, with 200MH - force a bug in the drivers to happen, and let it work at 69W with the same hashrate (no boost) - a gtx 1080 with a very low power limit has the same efficiency of the 1070 with 200 MH - evaluation of the 1070 founders edition, which was one of the best models with the best $/MH ratio, and a very good W/MH ratio too. - evaluate also the best case scenario with these algos: neoscrypt (ftc), blake2b (siacoin), lyra2rev2 (vertcoin) and lbry (lbc credits), with the best 1070 in the market vs a custom 1080 In all honesty, have you found these infos in any other place? Actually no. The job that u have done is absolutely awesome, no one has ever put all those informations in one single place. But it's a lot to read, a final conclusion with all finals data what u just quoted in your post will be even better ! ;D Title: Re: GTX 970, 1070, 1080 hashing speed, W, Temps LBRY, Lyra2ReV2, Neoscrypt, Blake2b Post by: Nikolaj on August 19, 2016, 08:40:00 AM Thank you
Well, that's the main goal of the second part, translated in english obviously :). It takes a lot of time to manage all these data, especially because it's a one-man work. Publish, bugfixing, data check, temperature sessions, all the stuff. It's a real pain, have a look here: Silverstone - Seeking the excellence http://www.xtremehardware.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=6363 (the author it's me, Matteo Trinca - not Tommaso Mele) Silverstone TJ11 review (case thermal analysis with many others .. it had an MSRP of 630 euro ! ) http://www.xtremehardware.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=7862 Silverstone RVX01 case, the new one http://www.xtremehardware.com/recensioni/case-e-modding/silverstone-rvx01-e-rvp01-2016030911282/?start=9 R9 290x and R9 290 complete thermal analysis, I can't even count the thermal tests and power consumption ones... Tests made also with liquid cooling solutions from Arctic, Hybrid III 120 and 140 http://www.xtremehardware.com/cooling/liquid/recensione-dissipatori-vga-aio-a-liquido-arctic-accelero-hybrid-iii-120-e-hybrid-iii-140-2016053011458/?start=8 here you can find the R9 290 tests http://www.xtremehardware.com/cooling/liquid/recensione-dissipatori-vga-aio-a-liquido-arctic-accelero-hybrid-iii-120-e-hybrid-iii-140-2016053011458/?start=9 Very useful if you're mining with the AMD R9 290/290x (think of ethereum) In the second article I will show you some data about these configurations: 5x GTX 1070 Giga G1 5x GTX 1070 Founders 5x GTX 1070 Inno3D Ichill X4 Power consumption, speed, temperatures and details of the Cryptenergy SRL Chassis solutions, with a complete thermal analysis. I'll give just some details about the chassis for now, because I am finalizing the details. The main goal is to give you all the oportunity to buy a chassis with psu and custom cables, with the risers on it. A complete solution, that will be much more affordable than any other in the market, and even with a modular concept. I want to provide you also a variant, similar to the open frame concept, even with a better street price. The main difference will be the density, which in this case is lower. Other than that will have less features from the main unit. I still need to find a name, but it could be the "Venus 1": http://www.xtremehardware.com/forum/showthread.php?t=48658 Title: Re: GTX 970, 1070, 1080 hashing speed, W, Temps LBRY, Lyra2ReV2, Neoscrypt, Blake2b Post by: Ambros on August 19, 2016, 08:43:49 AM I'm building a new rig myself. So i will definitely put this thread on watchlist ;)
Keep us in the loop Title: Re: GTX 970, 1070, 1080 hashing speed, W, Temps LBRY, Lyra2ReV2, Neoscrypt, Blake2b Post by: Nikolaj on August 19, 2016, 08:47:48 AM Just added infos. Thank you. If you need help, just give me a shout

but, let me ask you a question, I see your ambient is 36-40 degrees, I think it's in Celsius. Where are you testing those cards, on the beach? Title: Re: GTX 970, 1070, 1080 hashing speed, W, Temps LBRY, Lyra2ReV2, Neoscrypt, Blake2b Post by: Ambros on August 19, 2016, 10:12:23 AM Where are you testing those cards, on the beach? +1 ;D ;D Maybe a little room with no cooling system Title: Re: GTX 970, 1070, 1080 hashing speed, W, Temps LBRY, Lyra2ReV2, Neoscrypt, Blake2b Post by: Nikolaj on August 19, 2016, 11:51:02 AM Nice comparsions, I like all those number, but, let me ask you a question, I see your ambient is 36-40 degrees, I think it's in Celsius. Where are you testing those cards, on the beach? Something like that ;D . Open space without additional cooling, but also without a direct air flow. Static ambient airflows, so the Tamb, with power consumption of 3.6 KWh, reaches a limit. When the private datacenter will be ready, the ambient temperature (Tamb) should be up to 23°C. I have the possibility to install these products in a Server farm with 22°C, but they are not yet ready to be sold, as they're instead working flawlessly. The good thing is that these beauties don't require a low ambient temperature, due the low TDP, especially considering the massive airflow, in CFM, that the custom dissipation unit of the Venus1 is capable of delivering. ps: I'll go to beaches soon, instead 8) not here, like I went couple of years ago (Isola della maddalena, Sardegna. It is, one of the most beautiful places that I know. Silence, and magnificence. Silence, and magnificence. Years ago I escaped hot and crowded beach area in Pescara and drove randomly up to the mountains. I ended up in a valley just like this, propably the most beautiful place I have ever seen. Wild horses running around, mountains, silence, 10 degrees cooler than sealevel. I remember village called Castelvechhio, is this that same valley?
