Sure, it's ok to post a bitcoin address.  Unfortunately this sounds like an issue for Gox users and I am not one of them, you see, because I like to control my private keys.

What you are describing is a delay where a hosted (shared) EWallet is not crediting your account in a timely manner.  This is not a problem with bitcoin but instead a problem with that specific EWallet provider.

You should contact that specific EWallet provider to inquire why there is a delay.

Define "source" and define "transfer". Also define "secure places".

Im transferring from one source to MTGox... <--- IS an external Wallet.

Plus, this can be normal if no fees were used. Send an inquiry to MTgox.

Hi extrav,

I too had just done a transfer and whereas Bitinstant said it should complete to Gox in an hour or so, it took about 2-3.  They're seemingly on a bit of a delay.

Your funds will get there, not to worry.  I think in Gox' faq it can say it is possible for it to take up to 24 hours to technically have your funds show up as a timeframe maximum (though it's always faster than that to my knowledge).  Again you should be fine.

Good info bro.

I hope they do eventually. I always get freaked out when money is floating on the network.

It's NOT floating on the network.  The address got the bitcoins. Bitcoin network did it's job just fine. The question is : if you donated to the right address, why isn't gox showing it on their website?

I'm not trolling, I'm trying to find out what exactly you mean. Maybe you can rephrase what you said. If you had used a regular bitcoin wallet client, like the satoshi reference client, or Bitcoin Spinner, you will see your coins transferred to the new address after the transaction is included in 1 block. If you transfer coins between two wallets, you can see it even if there is zero confirmation if the clients are online.

I want to know what you mean by the words you used: source and secure places specifically.

If you sent to Gox, you just have to wait.

Fees only matter to the first confirmation. After 1 confirmation, fees are irrelevant.

MtGox is lagging. Unless there is a 40-block fork going on, you just need to wait until MtGox catches up with the rest of the bitcoin network.

edit:

um, is there a v1/v2 fork going on?
