Title: Its going to $454, no Its going to zero, no on second thought its going to $50
Post by: NO_SLAVE on June 12, 2011, 07:47:20 PM
this is the most neurotic sentiment Ive seen on an issue possibly in my whole career.  Ive traded commodities for 16+ years, and its easy to see in the price action that the people in this market are emotionally unstable and immature. The greed / fear oscillation is beyond compare.  Match that with tiny float / no liquidity and you get this roller coaster of emotional and financial insanity.

For those having important money in BTC, i.e. college fund, retirement etc, you should be warned that the the lows will be plunged again. Protect yourself, at this stage of development this is a wealth grinder.  Ive seen the effect is some OTC stock issues, but nothing this extreme.

The price may go up and the price may go down, but I'm 100% confident when I say that the price will fluctuate over time.

I'm 100% sure it will go to 500. But tomorrow, depending on the prices, I might feel differently.

Ive traded commodities for 16+ years, and its easy to see in the price action that the people in this market are emotionally unstable and immature.

Then use that to your advantage and profit from their ignorance.

Well then. Have fun taking their coins.

IF I was a pure darwinist, as many seem to be here, then it would be alot easier.

You really believe people have sunk their retirement or college funds into this?  ???

You're just seeing an early adopter sell off, thinks will stabilize over time.

Word.
The forex markets opened a few hours ago.
I looked at the charts, read some financial news, I placed some orders, set my stops, and turned on my iphone notifications to be sure I would get a text if anything important happened in the market.

Then I looked at mtgox.. Wow.

I am not in favour of exploiting the weak and gullible, either.

But people who see bitcoin as nothing more than a chance of making a quick buck, without any long term commitment to the technology, are damaging us too.

That's why I think they are fair game and deserve to lose their money.

...The greed / fear oscillation is beyond compare....

Thanks for finding the perfect words.   :)
The greed / fear oscillation is beyond compare!
Can you tell the market is way over-bought again (the new rally was "too fast") and could retest the $10.25 low really soon?

lol this was in 2011

where is the OP now?

Did the OP invest or run away?

I wouldn't wanna be you if you didn't invest and now it is so close to $500 when you were basically in at the cheapest prices...

I'm almost certain it will surge past 500 then proceed to plummet when someone dumps a shitload

Oh, look guys.  Another trader who thinks he can apply his experience to bitcoin...

Good luck with that.  But after losing your shirt 3 or 4 times, you'll start to sound like us.

Buy and hold.  You might try it.  But you won't until you lose a lot of money.

Oscillations can be taken advantage of. We dole out Nobels for people who figure out how to cash in on unreasonable market behavior. Someone could easily end up holding a Nobel for bitcoin.
Should be John Nash, IMHO.

Even those with trading bot might lose out in the long run compare to buy and hold strategy...
