Gambling is for fun and you already know that we can't win at the end than it is good to fix the amount how much we can lose for the day. % depends on individuals because if someone got a very little amount than 5% may not be sufficient for them to play so you should at least tell what is your current bankroll.

Gambling management is somewhat personal habit and you shouldn't  be enforcing something that works for you on others.
I am talking about hard numbers here. 5% of bankroll could be $1 for someone and $4000 for someone else.

This is a good way to start. You should never bet more then what you can afford to lose e.g your bankroll.

But that ways when you win, you won't win as big as you would want to. I follow strict bankroll management myself, but I don't suggest doing it as a recreational gambler as you won't get far when the house edge starts kicking in.

well in poker bankroll management is the first step on the success journey , I don't know much about sportsbetting but I think the same applies to it
cause as long as you have a high win rate you should be able to beat it by betting the same amount on each match
like when the match has something like X2 odds , then you should be sure that your pick will win more than 50% of times
if it won then cool , if it lose then it's just variance and you should make money by repeating the process in the long run

What game are you playing? Dice? Are you going to change your amount, or bet 5% every time? Anyways, restricting your betting is a good strategy, so hopefully this will work out for you.

The more bets you make the more you will see negative effect of house edge, gambling is about "all or nothing", you can't expect to be in profit over the long run.

I don't know if that is a good method or not but I am sure you can not always follow that. There will be a poit where you will be tempted to bet a bit higher more becase you are sure that you are going to win.

Ah I see, yes, with betting only with 5% every time, combined with sports betting, is a good way to profit. I'll check out his pick threads, if they're good and win most of the time, he definitely can profit a lot.

That is true and most us will face this issue at some instant while gambling and when we go to that face and mostly we will lose more money than making money. So gambling I always consider as a fun game instead making some profits from it. But somehow I'm in profits from sports betting.

I always see you doing different kinds of challenge and most of them ended up quite nicely like the all in or bank challenge. I'll try to follow this whenever I can and goodluck.

Follow what ? He isn't doing tips or something I believe. He is only mentioning how he is going to follow bankroll management and make bets following a stricter roll management.

I don't see any strategy on his post about bank roll.
In my own personal bankroll management. I'll never bet an all in because it is 50/50% chance on winning and if you lose on all in you will never bet again to even your loss. I always wager only 20% of bank roll then multiply it by 2.1 in that case i'll recover my loss and have some profit. But this is always a case to case basis. You need to experiment on your own to conclude in different result.

His strategy is to limit his bets to only 5% of his bankroll. However, I don't know if that is his set strategy, or if he's going to fluctuate his bet values up to 5%, or 5% as his base bet. It would be great if you could elaborate, OP.

I think that betting 5% of your bankroll in a gambling session is being referred to the betting on sports. I cannot see how this can be applied to casinos. If you do this thing on games of chances like a casino you can see where this will end up based on Kelly Criterion. Read more here:

Something that just crossed my mind while reading in depth the Kelly Criterion we can try this strategy on Over and Under goals which is a bet with only 2 possibilities , win or lose. I am not much of a gambler so I haven't got to this in detail but I hope someone does for the benefit of all of the sports loving bettors.

Update you status everyday so we can tell if your method is working. 5% is too big if you have a big bankroll but anyway good luck to your journey in gambling.

I really think that is the way to go. We keep encouraging that in our Tipster Championship, by limiting the max bet to 5% of current bankroll.
You can see by our leaderboard, that even betting a max of 5% of current bankroll, our top7 players still manage to create a very decent ROI% at the end of the month.

5% of your bankroll is a very good amount to try at least in soccer games now that all the major championships in Europe are underway and have just started. Do not think that 5% is a small amount its a really decent one and an example is if you have a really low bankroll 0.10 BTC that is 0.005 btc per bet and this is for the lowest bankroll of a gambler. Real gamblers bankrolls start at 1000 dollars or 1.5-2.5 BTC and 5% of such stake is from 0.075 btc to 0.125 btc per bet. The real challenge is trying to make this bankroll larger in the longer run.

It should really be 2% each bet. That's a little more conservative. Using percentage takes more calculation but keeps you in the game longer. When you have hot runs your betting amount increases and when you have bad runs it decreases

The goal is to probably not be in the game longer, but profit from them. 2% is too low to start. 5-10% is probably the best for sportsbetting to keep the profits active. With 2%, you hardly make any progress in the short term and takes away the gambling fun.

Then how long would it take you to get any amount. And you will lose guaranteed so the amount that you win with such small amounts will disappear fast. >:(

I tried this last night and eventually lost it all because the gains were insignificant enough to keep playing like this.

5% is still a good start for people that have problems betting to much of
their bankroll on one single game/action.

I see many comments that 5% it too low/high. And tha Op should change it to 2%, 10% or any other number.

That's a very good strategy to have. If you win a lot, your winnings will exponentially increase, and if you lose a lot, your losses will exponentially decrease. I only bet 3% myself, but if you have a good record and can win enough to cover the juice, then 5% should work fine

Yeah right if you have a high amount you can get 5% you can also get good amount but if you have just small amount of earnings you can only get few profit or nearly no profit.. but its still risky even its just 5% bankroll.. and yeah 20% is much better to make a good amount for your capital.

That's a nice strategy are making some profit there? for me gambling is just for fun and some people are taking it so serious when they come in gambling because they can easily make some profit everyday where it can help their lives to live everyday in bitcoin hoping that i have some skills like them

What you are doing is what i have been doing from past 2 years and my Bankroll management is 10% as you know that little percentage will give you very less profit let it be even in bankroll management their should be some fair calculation so that in long term ROI you should be in profit.

5% is still too much for proper bankroll management. Imagine playing dice for instance and hitting a bad streak..

Real bankroll management would be more like 0.5% of your bankroll per bet. After you lose or win say 10 times total, you readjust the bet size (you can do it for every bet, but that is not very convenient).

You want to be able to keep playing, and this will help you do just that. It gives you more time to get that lucky jackpot hit and it can prevent you from tilting really bad.

from the rest of OP's comments on this topic i guess he is betting on sports and i think it is not such a bad strategy since he is making bets on sports and if he is good at it he can win and make a good profit.

although i wish he explains more about the strategy, like what does he do with the winning amounts (add to bankroll or withdraw)
also what does he do in case of losing a bet?

Still, 5% is simply too much for proper bankroll management. 0.5% may be a bit conservative, but id say 1-2% is the absolute maximum you should bet if you dont want to go bust.

This is good strategy for sports betting, and I think you will have success with it. I see you are betting on 1.5 odd, or around that is ok. You don't risk too much, I think 5 % is a bit too high, if you try some smaller percentage you can easily double your next bet.

I agree that 5% is quite a lot. Especially there can be a period where you are off in your prediction. You can get all 10 over matches wrong and you would have lose 50% of your bankroll. To get back to original value, you actually need 20matches all correct.

It is not a lot when you do not have a lot of investment, flat betting is recommended so you will test your skills in gambling. For me, I would recommend you do it in sports betting as there is a big chance you can win in the long run. Just have to select games that you can cap well so the outcome will favors you most of the time.

I don't think a flat 5% is to much. I would say more than that would be to much, but 5% if you are good and have a decent hit ratio should be a great value. I don't like flat %, since sometimes I prefer to bet less at higher odds, and i go with 5% when I'm pretty confident.

Yes I think this would be a great info on your challenge. Knowing how you are doing overall. You could keep this info on the OP.
Since you are making 5% bets it's that means that you are keeping a track of your bankroll everyday, so it's easy to update the ROI% info.

Also I have another question. You are making more than one bet per day, so that means you are risking more than 5% right, since I think you are using 5% betting stake per bet, and no limiting to an exposure of 5% per day.
Or are you really strict about this, and you only expose 5% of your bankroll at any given time, and then wait for bets to finish to bet some more?

This is what I generally do but, If my 5% loses, I look to find a really good value bet and If im able to find one, I bet 10% of my bankroll. Generally it works out and I win. If I lose I take a day off or get back to 5% till I make the money back and then make a 10% bankroll bet. Its a weird strategy but I use it quite a lot.

When i already did doubled my bankroll i always taking up the risk again to play it in the long run but i always saving my initial capital if the result was unlucky i still have money and i always bet 10 -20% of my bankroll depends on the situation analyzing is always win.
