 can any one tell me best  exchange to sell 500 LTC to uk bank transfer and how quick thanks

BTC-e and Poloniex are the two biggest exchanges. While coinsbank also has some decent volume going. You can check the best exchanges by volume here:

Traditionally BTC-e was the powerhouse for LTC - and mostly sill is by volume. Although many do not like the exchange because its owners are somewhat anonymous and there were some incidents with ETC.

i would sell LTC for BTC and then sell the BTC on bitstamp and transfer the fiat to your bank account.

selling an altcoin and getting paid directly to your bank account is very hard. even altcoin is very famous and old coin but I doubt there is any altcoin to fiat exchange available. you have to sell your LTC for btc first and exchange your bitcoin to your UK bank account..
according to coinmarketcap the first three altcoin exchanges are:

if I will be in need to exchange altcoin I would select one from these three..

Edit: I have found that in coinsbank you can sell you litecoins for Euro also . but don't think they'll directly deposit to your bank account. you still need a third party help to do that.

mostly the altcoin exchanges will sell particular altcoins into BTC and very difficult to find altcoin exchanges who accept UK bank currency for withdrawal option but if you willing to use EURO for your LTC i think btc-e is good place https://btc-e.com/exchange/ltc_eur

There much place for sell/buy LTC-BTC. It's easy, just go to market exchanger altcoins,  then you can sell it them. or if you wanna selling your coin with fast and safe i recomended you to sell on shapeshift.io (http://shapeshift.io) Instants, fast, and no account need.

You can try poloniex or bittrex for the best exchanger

They have own their advantage ( polo has trool box , great interface meanwhile bittrex simple interface , smooth graphic ! )

For transfer to bank account if you are from europe look at cex.io or kraken (sepa transfer)
btc-e is more open to east europe but i don`t know details

Also with cex.io you can do cheap transfer to you bank visa/master card which is also fast and with low fee

just found a new site for litecoin exchange. the site is liqui.io. so far it seems legit, working and paying.. and it's tradding walls are also getting stronger.. I am not affiliated witj that. but you can try that once.

There are so many reputable exchange sites.

You can either use poloniex or bittrex.

And it's very good idea to ask the community before choosing an exchange site.

Exchanging litecoin directly to british pounds haven't seen yet any exchange that can do this.

But you can try and exchange in usd or in eur and then transferring this to your bank account.

Then your bank will convert them to GBP (minus their exchange fees)

but litecoin and bitrex can't direct receive payment fiat money to direct your account bank
poloniex only support USD tether
