   How to get STO?  

  Proof-of-Work  

The main source to get STO is PoW. We decided to choose X11 algorithm because, this algorithm gives amazingly fast hashes for both GPU’s and CPU’s and, being more complicated than a SHA​256 ASIC implementation, the use of X11 will harden the use of ASIC miners in the short­​ term to mid​­term future. An added benefit of the algorithm is that GPUs require approximately 30% less wattage and run 30-50% cooler than they do with Scrypt.
To encourage miners and maintain the interest we decided to place SuperBlock phases in PoW structure with 400 STO reward. There will be 6 superblock Phases, which will long 2 days each (2880 blocks) Also there will be a MegaBlock phase of 2 days with 1000 STO reward.
Also there will be an early miner period of 2 days with 500 STO block reward.

  Proof-of-Stake  

With a yearly reward of 10% STO, you can stake your STO only by keeping your wallet online. The minimum stake age is 8 hours, so you must keep your coins in your wallet for at least 8 hours to start staking. The maximum stake age is 30 days.

  Free Distribution  

To stimulate the users to get involved in our project, we decided to launch a free distribution. The free distribution period will last for 1 week.
All you have to do is to send us a PM with your STO address.
To filter and prevent sock-puppet registrations you must fulfill a few requirements

• You have at least Jr.Member rank
• You have at least 50 posts on Bitcointalk
• You have been active in the last few weeks

The rewards are based on bitcointalk ranks.

There will be a Twitter campaign soon, but handling the free distribution, bounties and maintaining STO and bitcointalk topic its pretty hard at the same time.
Probably in the next week we will launch a Twitter and a Bitcointalk signature campaign.


To prevent missunderstandings we put in the OP the virustotal scan. I know about the 3 detections, I tried to fix them, but we haven't got any solution.
If anybody have some ideas, please share with me. Also if you fear these detects please use the wallet sandboxed.

Unfortunatelly no Newbies are accepted at free distribution because, that would raise the number of sock-puppets.Even without Newbies is pretty hard to filter the requests since from the launch we got 140 requests.All the users must be checked one-by-one so, it will be sure that there will be no huge bagholders with 10 accounts.The distribution will be open for a few weeks so just wait until you hit the Jr.Member rank.

   There have been 1000's of launches over the years, someone just posted in the Tenebrix thread & brought back some memories of all the readings over the years. Give it time, there will be many distributions over the duration of being on the forum & not always git to keep up with busy population of code world. Have to say that the faucets of the past & current are quite better, but so would the first users of alts GUI (just tested another simple wallet like the first of bitcoin, so glad we are past those days & have something people can actually use in realtime).

Once you click on WALLETS tab in OP the github release page opens. There you have to click on SaveTheOcean-qt.zip and the download starts.

Make sure that the file extension name isn't conf.txt
Also please make sure that the file name is SaveTheOcean since its case sensitive.

Minimum stake age is 8 hours. This means that you must keep your coins for at least 8 hours in your wallet. There is no problem with the staking.

No buy support for this coin. The concept is good. But, there is no point of mining, holding this coin. It rarely trades in the exchanges. If you stop promoting this coin, miners will get benefit in the long run. Do good for miners.

P.s.: Sad to see that there are a lot of users who try to scam the free distribution. There are users who tried to claim the Free Coins twice with different addresses, and there are a lot of sockpuppet accounts. Filtering the sockpuppets its a huge a effort you can believe it. There are almost 300 requests and more then 50 members were banned, so I'm doing my best, but even this way a quiet few sockpuppets can get through the filter, but I don't think that somebody could gather 10k+ from the free distribution. It's probably a miner who just got rid of his coins.
Yobit Add request was sent and paid 0.1 so probably they will add STO soon.
In the next week C-cex and Bittrex will be contacted so more markets will be available with more volume.

In all honesty when STO got added to coinexchange i quickly transfered my 750 sto in hopes i could snatch up some OMG new coin buys @ high price. But it didnt happen, not enough people use coinexchange as of right now :( so bringing back to the wallet :p for perma staking. So now 8hrs till min age :p Gotta try and get those first coin sales occasionally considering you can usually x100 on first sales.

No buy orders. Without a good exchanger coin dies.

A quiet few exchanges were contacted today. Also the Listing fee for Yobit was paid once again. Hopefully this week there will be a positive answer from a reputated exchange.
BTW, just a personal opinion. CoinExchange.io is a good exchange with a good engine. Probably many of you have seen that Yobit have new rules regarding coin addings. Probably this will influence the number of coins added to yobit, which means many new coins will not hit yobit, so CoinExchange would be a good alternate for Yobit, who added new coins since they launched.
Hopefully we will see more volume on Coinexchange and will gain reputation in the near future.

An AddCoin request with a list fee of 0.1 was sent on 2nd of Sept. No response since then, also the Yobicode was not activated.

Before you send the transaction make sure that the wallet is fully syncronized. We tried a the wallet on a brand new VPS and synced without problem. also we made a few transactions and no problems appeard. Probably the wallet was out of sync when you tried to send.

Coins transfered, still show in my wallet. even after repairwallet but cannot send as constant error.

We don't need no ICO. ATM there are a lot of ICOs are running over here, most of them are just straight scams. But I guess if we would launched an ICO phase, you would have said that bhuuuu, new ico scam, etc.

Exactly the same doubt I have here bought it at 39 satoshi and it's worth now 6 satoshi. Probably this coin wasn't ready to get listed on any exchange. When the price will be fall more it will be more hard to recover or the team behind it have to come with really good things.

The price now could be as a result of the miners dumping their coins in order to recover some of their investment and can be corrected if the dev have good plans followed by step by step action.

in windows open explorer & type %appdata% and hit enter, now goto your savetheocean and delete everything EXCEPT WALLET.DAT. DO NOT DELETE WALLET.DAT. then restart your wallet.
