Title: Warning: XMine.org moving bitcoins turned into scam similar hashocean
Post by: Crystal11 on September 09, 2016, 03:12:34 PM
XMine.org a so called mining website has stopped payments and not answering to tickets supports anymore .
I have tracked their original address
https://blockchain.info/address/3EE6MTUL5a7AJMenva9BzjganzFqzcccSK
they made 218 BTC and that's only in bitcoins.
2 hours ago they had 88 BTC and moved them (88 BTC) from the above address to
https://blockchain.info/address/1GBSYegUUUr387MyLoxGeSiDXMAgi4EUNh
and then to the https://blockchain.info/address/1L1LYUYDhzxAAbnN8PqSsrS92kdEzXx9t7 where a total of 112.84 BTC is made .
If an exchanger can see this address will find that address in any trader exchange account they block their account .
The bitcoins are from the XMine.org members who did deposits . The admin(s) possibly are trying now to exchange the bitcoins into dollars .
This modus operandi looks very similar to hashocean.

Their last 2 payments displayed on website as withdrawals are fake , by the way a  dash address starts with x not cwa..

Can't they be sued for fraud?

That brings us to the issue of having an international body which all crypto firms must register with, before they can do business. This will keep all of them in check >:( >:(

People should have learnt their lesson after getting scammed by so many cloud mining websites already like HashOcean and ore-mine.org and they are still investing in cloud minings promising for good earnings.

Indeed and this would be perfect but once such entity is created people will start to complain about crypto coins that those aren't free and decentralised money anymore.
Remember the last hard fork of ETH (voted on DAO network to be applied) when people started to complain on internet that the ETH is not as free as it should be .
Howerver a crypto police would be great even if they solve cases for a fee but at least Paypal won't ban the bitcoin exchangers anymore . I assume bitcoin is used a lot for illegal purposes such as this one, the old Silk Road website , etc.
So yes, an international crypto police is needed. But i think only international organisations such as UN, EU, Interpol, etc can request for such institution to be created.

1- move this topic to scam accusation
2- clown mining? please...
you cannot mining the gold without a mine, right? why could anyone earn from a cloud site without a real machine for mining!

Why are people still falling for the "cloud mining" scam?

It was quite suprised for me to see people still fall/lured into cloud mining ponzis. It was well known truth that most of this cloud minings are just there to scam, they even don't have one real mining hardware. Better to stay away from cloud mining scams, rather than crying when they run away.

It seem owner is using mixers to mix all those funds to make it untracable, so i don't think exchanger can stop/flag deposits done by addresses used by this scam.

is there a new thing from that kind of websites ? lmao . there's so many websites out there that is almost the same with hashocean so there's no need need to warn them always about that because they already seen what happened before when HO disappeared and took so many bitcoins from the users . if they still didn't learned from that let them commit one , two or more mistakes and hope that they will learn their lesson after that .

You can sue them but a lot of what happens and what you can actually do is more of a legal gray area due to the current status of bitcoin when it comes to classification and taxation. If there is something that has happened with has definitely given Bitcoin some sort of classification recognized by a lot of legal institutions, then you might have a better chance suing them for fraud than you would otherwise. It's just super difficult to sue someone without a lot of other information, and it might be successful, but it might not be. It's really a gamble.

first of all your subject is wrong! it did not turn into a scam. this was like a ticking time bomb and it was even clear from the start that this site and all other cloudmining services are scams.
second of all move your topic to services discussion board, all the cloudmining whinings are there :D

I see what you are saying, but we have to watch one thing.  We cannot have the exchanges start making choices on whether to allow or disallow trading.

Trading is like any obligation for bitcoiners because just from the trading all of the chain of bitcoin is still running until this way, and the miners is would doing a mining is caused by trading too. Trading becomes any obligation in the bitcoin world.

I know that the money is stolen and that the scammers should not have it, but it is not the place of the exchange to decide who gets and who does not get money.

They can ban someone from their site that is abusing the system, but not keep their funds.  If their is going to be a hold on an account, that order has to come from law enforcement.  You never want to give the websites and exchanges that much power.  They can turn around and do the same thing that the scammers you are talking about have done, but cover it in the claim that the users funds are being held due to suspected fraud. Bitcoin is not about control, it is about lack of over stressed controls.

All cloud mining scams work the same way.

Even the ones that pay sooner or later run away with the bitcoins.

Why there are still people who still believe in cloud mining?

If it says cloudmining somewhere in their name, it is %99.9 scam. It is proven by now quite numerous times. They were be able to hide their scam activities in the past when they first came up but it is not possible to do it nowadays. Because of that they grab your money and runaway without waiting that long. Cloudmining companies don't last for a year now.

I think this is has become a habit, we will always be interested with cloud mining because they are very smart in terms of promoting their sites.
That's why we have to stop this habit by doing a research before investing in any cloud mining, we have to find some legit information about the site and some legit reviews about the site. But however,  Scam Site will always be a Scam Site.

The people start investing and promoting those sites are the ones who has bitcoins but are new to this world and does not know anything about them, so they just invest their coins and for earning referral commissions they invite others as well so that keeps going until they get scammed and learn their lesson.

The saddest part of all is that people actually invested in these cloudmining websites. If you can't afford to mine, don't do it. It's not your hashrate or miner if it's not yours. There's no way around it; if you can't mine, don't mine.

Seeing this as a cloud mining site, that shouldn't be a surprise anymore. I don't have any trust on cloud mining sites anymore ever since hashocean died, even though I never really invested any. What's concerning me is that more and more people are actually still believing in cloud mining sites.

Yeah me too. I was once fun of investing in a cloud mining sites because you are earning passive but after what happened in Hashocean which I am one of 700,000 investors scammed. I become to hate it. Cloud mining sites are not legit. They are all ponzis that just revolve all of our money and aftet they reach their desired threshold, they will run leaving the investors nothing. So beware to these sites and I recommed just enter trading as an alternative to cloud mining sites.

There is actually so many cases happened before the Hashocean, that's good if you finally realize that cloud mining is not a safe field for investment. But how about the other people who still don't know about this, there will be another cloud mining that'll offer a better profit and looks more convincing whereas it'll be just a scam in the end. This thing will keep happening to the newcomer, and this is our job to always inform them to be very careful with Cloud Mining sites.

it seems that cloud mining sites are scammed or if they do not scam, it nearly can not recover the fund deposited.
So never invest money for cloud mining sites
