Don't buy bitcoins using Coinbase without knowing what Coinbase really is (they have been accused of spying on users' money transfers...).

You can purchase bitcoins in many different ways :
  • If you have cash, you can check if there is any bitcoin seller available near you on localbitcoins.com (https://localbitcoins.com/).
  • You can also buy bitcoins using Paypal on VirWox, but be careful, this method takes you very high fees compared to others methods. You have to buy SLL coins with your PayPal account and then trade them for bitcoins. You can read a complete tutorial here: https://www.deepdotweb.com/buy-bitcoins-with-paypal-credit-cards/
  • I'm not going to list all the ways you can purchase bitcoins. There are too many. Therefore, I highly recommend you to read this wiki page that lists all the ways you can buy your first bitcoins: https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Buying_Bitcoins_(the_newbie_version)

For small amount of bitcoins, like 0.001 BTC or 0.005 BTC, I guess you do not need to buy but I suggest you to earn them. In service (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=52.0) section, you will get many simple task like voting/commenting so that you will have that much.

For 0.02 BTC or greater amount, you can buy in Xapo especially with visa debit/credit cards.

That is a nice site but let me suggest the OP to buy through VISA, Paypal, Skrill through coinimal there. I have done many hassle free transactions and all successful so far while I have tried in Cex.io and they wanted a 3D secure card otherwise they don't accept your card. Coinbase and Circle is for US only. So your remaining options are coinmamma which void themselves because of minimum 0.2 btc which is no small amount.

And we are back to the 25 euro minimum amount of buying to coinimal (now Bitpanda).

I'm using coinbase, it's easy and simple, but to buy with cards you have to verify your profile.

With LBC, be careful with who you're dealing with and always take the necessary security precautions to ensure that you recieve your bitcoins. The rates are occasionally good there, but Coinbase is my favorite for buying bitcoins- they're pretty secure. For now.

IRL meetings also work pretty well, but just be careful as well. I can't emphasize enough that you need to be careful, no matter who you're dealing with.

i suggest you go with c-cex in order to buy bitcoins with your visa, coinbase is doing some crazy actions if you deposit your btc on a gambling site lets say..

I personally buy all my bitcoin from localbitcoins, there are many options such as paying through Bank, Paypal, Cash.
NOTE: You most likely have to provide ID.

The problem with coinbase in my opinion is that they require ID.
Me don't like the idea

This is first time in the i am seeing too much for coinbase. Normally most of the do trading in localbitcoins for selling or buying. From there you purchase the very easily comparetively with any trading sites else go for local traders who is near in your city.

The interface in Coinbase is pretty neat but you are right, the verification process just seems unnecessary. With LocalBitcoins I think you could even purchase with a money order so I am sure that a Visa Card would be fine. Research around or talk to the members on here to learn on how Bitcoin works.

You can use Coinmama. They accept Visa too.

If you like this is my ref link: Coinmama (https://www.coinmama.com/?ref=El%20Emperador)

Otherwise this is the clean link: Coinmama (https://www.coinmama.com)

Go for Indacoin as I don't think you need to cross any verification there and you will easily be able to get your coins to your wallet instantly...
You will just need to verify a code that you will get through a call on your registered mobile in your bank profile...

I think the best place to buy small amounts of Bitcoins with Visa card is Localbitcoin, there you can deal with sellers from your country and buy bitcoins from them. Or you can use Coinbase, Xapo..

I would say that this is the correct time to invest and buy bitcoins as the price has gone down. When there is a price drastic, we can buy more bitcoins which will in turn will yield a good return in future when the price goes up. This is a kind of a business we do when there is a gradient in price.

The inherent problem with purchasing with Visa:

The service charge and the ridiculous exchange rate(if the account currency is anything other than your wallet currency).

It ends up in the region of 5-6%.

That's a hefty charge to get bitcoins.

OP, most of these answers would have been void, if you are not a US citizen. I would suggest that you find out where your local Bitcoin

meetups are in your area, and then get to know some of those people. I have done most of my trades with the "regulars" at these

meetups. I keep the amounts small and I never use the same person for every transaction I make. {Then they cannot bait you, to scam

you} Hope this helps you....  ???

I don't know which country you belong to but for my country I think localbitcoins is the best place to buy as you don't need to disclose your identity and you can directly deposit cash in trader's bank account.

This would be the best way or  advice when you  would  like to buy  bitcoin. You could always seek for bitcin users  on your place and do  buy on  p2p which is  not hassle at all and also you  must  buy  only on small amounts because  if you tend to  buy huge the risk  of  being  holdup would be  high.

I am also always preferring to buy bitcoins in person. Lot of services are available to find out a local exchanger for buying bitcoins, we should make use of them.
But, we need to be more careful while buying/selling in person as there were some notorious events happened when people were trying transactions in persons. Meeting them in public place must be one of the practical solution here.

When it comes to buying or selling bitcoins I prefer to do it only on localbitcoins as since I am into bitcoins I am doing it there and never found any issue and now there are many traders whom I know personally so there is no chance of getting scammed.

It would be the right time for buying bitcoins i would say. The price is not too less or more high. Compared to previous days, the price seems to be bit low and stable. Certainly we are going to see a good growth in price in few months down the line. Hence buying bitcoins now would bring more profit in future.

I don't know about using a visa, but consider using one of the exchanges where you can buy with cash or a bank account like localbitcoins, circle, coinbase, etc.
