Title: What to mine with 1gb older cards Post by: ajareselde on September 21, 2016, 08:57:16 PM I stopped mining long time ago, but would like to put some of my left over cards to use ; any idea on what to mine ?
Cards are 5850's with only 1 gb of ram, so eth is a no-go. All you can do is give Monero a try though, and see how the mining goes with those cards.

The point is to put cards to use , and maybe save coins mined as investment. 4x5850's should mine atleast something in a month or so.. Also helps if you anyway need heating during coming months.

So my spare 4870 sitting here in an old PC that I would love to put to use mining something, I'm just not sure how! But the profit isnt as nearly as i imagined, but atleast they wont be picking up more dust laying around when i plug them all back in :) Looking to pump up hashes with different setting now.. |
