What happened::

I paid mwax321 $35 for MSDN invite, I paid using bitcoin and we conversed through Skype, as soon as I paid he said he was sleepy and would send the invite in 8 hours, I never heard from him after that.

He now deleted my posts in this thread and refuses to answer me on Skype.

first of all, sorry for your loss.
Why you still dealing with an account which has 2 negative trust from DT users?
Of course he's a scammer, his thread in self moderated topic, after he scamming people, he will delete all of msg from people who made a deal with him.

Because he has less negative trust than the other sellers that I could find that sell MSDN invites, so I thought I would take a chance, turned out to be the wrong decision though .  :-\

To be honest I never noticed that his thread was self moderated until it was too late.

You should not pay him first as Bitcoin transaction are not revertible, take it as a lesson learnt :(

I know you said you learned your lesson, but I'm curious:  Did you check his trust score beforehand?   Always do it before dealing with someone, especially when they're selling accounts and that sort of thing without escrow.

No I didn't and again lesson learnt, it will never happen again...  :)

Please add the amount scammed $35 in the feedback you left.

Sorry for your loss, but honesty after I read ALL THAT feedback........I wouldn't trust the guy even if he went first  :-\

You had a lapse in judgement it happens some times.  Hopefully, this helps you triple check anyone who wants to buy/sell/trade something.

The bit I don't understand is I reported his thread to a mod saying he is a scammer and linking this thread that shows proof and his scamming thread is still up, it even has other people inquiring how to buy from him. I thought the mods would frown upon this sort of activity and remove the thread.

Sad story, but "stopped accepting escrow" should have been a red flag

Not nice being scammed but PLEASE know that ALL scammers will have a SELF MODERATING thread so they can delete all the bad stuff people say .

NEVER EVER trust a self moderating seller . EVER ! !   No matter what the price . I had a scammer take $1.50 from me ............ yeah only $1.50 and ALL his posts are self moderating .

Sorry for your loss, but unfortunately, scams aren't moderated, and they most likely won't be. I have sent a negative feedback his way, hopefully you'll use escrow next time(even if the person you are trading with is trusted).

Well they can't delete the negative feedback they're sure to get.   But I agree, self-moderated threads are the pits.  Gotta be careful round these parts.  This forum used to ban scammers.  I don't think that was such a bad idea.

very bad thing happened with you . since that person got negative trust for his scam . but you can't get yout money back . so i will suggest you always deal with trusted person or directly use escrow system .

that scammer already got red trust before he scamming OP, obviously it's from OP own fault for still trusting a person who already got red trust
