Title: [ANN] [COINO] The New Coin(O) Community Discussion Thread
Post by: DOGEbubble on September 25, 2016, 01:07:27 PM
Announcement:

On June 20, 2017
Coino CNO  migrated to
PoS+ PoW/ X11 Hybrid
Except for old issues, Please go on to the Coin(O) New Discussion Thread
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2000798.0 (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2000798.0)

GitHub updated 6/20/2017:   Go to Github (https://github.com/scriptRack003756/coino)

Windows, linux, source, paper wallet: https://www.mediafire.com/?g19nvxrd8daddzp
mac wallet: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B5j8d4FSc7drcW9SZkYyeWc1NWs

Import procedures and information: https://www.mediafire.com/?jyjbanvni8ksk2u
Explorer: http://159.203.71.86

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
For Windows:
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Importing coins from old wallet (WINDOWS):

1) Start the new client and wait for the block chain to download completely. Exit the client.

2) We'll start by locating your old wallet.dat file. You'll have to go to C:\users\YOURNAME\appdata\roaming. This can be easily done by going to Start->Run and typing in %APPDATA%

3) You should see two folders, Coino and CoinoV2.

4) Copy the wallet.dat file from Coino into CoinoV2, replacing the one that is there.

**MAKE SURE YOU ARE COPYING FROM Coino INTO CoinoV2 AND NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND, OR YOU WILL IRREVERSIBLY LOSE ALL OF YOUR COINS.**

Making backups -before- replacing anything is highly recommended.

5) You can do either option below, they will do the same thing:

Run the client with the -salvagewallet flag to finalize the process.
     OR
Put finalize.bat in the same folder as Coino-qt.exe. Run finalize.bat to finalize the process.

After doing either of these, your coins should now be in the new client.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Any further questions, please check post #199 and #200 first. Those will be updated and posted here, time allowed.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NOTE:

On September 24, 2016, The Coino(O) has to rebuild wallet due to loss of previous Window & Mac wallet download and to take care of connectivity issues, especially with webwallet and restart Scrypt POW mining (@ block 3011000) with constant block reward of 4 Coin(O)to improve network activity. This is at least a short-term fix if further future changes are being considered.

Hi sir! Why the blocks are in place? working unit? addnode?
See ongoing up dates above.
The new wallet client download should be built-in with 104.131.163.132 master node

The addnodes below are presently active:

addnodes=176.35.75.252:15555
addnodes=203.20.114.252:15555

The following link will give updated addnodes info anytime: http://cryptoguru.tk/NetworkInfo/index.php?Currency=CNO (http://cryptoguru.tk/NetworkInfo/index.php?Currency=CNO)

Note: not every site is synced. The new wallet syncing takes more than one day due to big size.  ;)

Thank you for the reminder. Looks like that we should be listed on more sites ASAP. That's the plan!! And you know it. Especially Chinese Exchange sites. Also you should soon know why Coin(o) will have anything to do with China. It's not just the population, wealth and number of mobile users; it is how it has anything (that CNO could happen) to do with Chinese. There are more to unfold and Follow with me here for new developments. I cannot promise that it would work out the way I want it but something should definitely happen no mater what. You can help with the community to spread out the messages, when the time is right.

As to new exchanges, I would wait at least one week or so till the whole CNO network is definitely in unity.  :)

addnode not work, is there any other nodes dev?

Please refer to quote #11 above.

The syncing process is too time-consuming taking more than 24 hours. The present network activity is probably overloaded and I also have to re-sync my wallet client from the scratch due to some discrepancies. Once I am done in the coming a.m., I should be able to get all my CPU miners up and running again to help.

Therefore, for any further difficulties, it could be a better idea to wait and start again in 1-2 days.

 :)

Old coin- rejuvenated
New team and New Thread
Old community+ Numerous new community members to come

and more.

To be achieved by campaigns, designating the November+December as testing campaigns and January 1, 2017 as the beginning of high gear campaigns.

With the first round to be timely posted by Oct 15, 2016.   :)

any bounty campaign
signature campaign faceboo campaign or twitter campaign

The campaigns will be based on referral (i.e., the outcome) not how many retwitted, etc..
It would be ideally based on the direct count of how many smartphones creating a Coin(O) web wallet/mobile_only.
This is not to say that I am against Desktop use of webwallet.-which could be duplicated/multiplied fairly easiy in
such as any faucet programs and has nothing to do with facilitating mobile uses. And there are already faucet programs both for
mobile and non-mobile use.

I am still designing on How to achieve this.

Therefore, no direct bounty campaigns except Translation and accompanied thread campaigns are in my mind at this moment.  :)

.....

Starting 8/14/2016:  About 1000-2000 Coin(O)/day has been allocated for mining promotion to make mining worthwhile, by creating 5-20/day fee-paying transactions to produce enough incentives for mining at the CNO network. This will be discontinued when the coming 4 coin(O)/block POW starts at block 3011000.......

Further Op page updates in progress.............

Probably 3-4 weeks to go.  :)

I was part of the forums as well when they released this. i remember the old logo, even had made some promo materials for this like banners.
i would like to see how this goes. i might still have few coino left in my old account from last year i guess. let me dig them out.

I might be changing my mind and start to offer some baseline bounty for (facebook or twitter, etc.) campaign/translation_or_not; however, the main plan is still the counts of users referred. Details of the plans to achieve some of those, will be announced by Oct 16, 2016; Do not do anything before that. :)

FYI:

Coin(O) block creation is picking up. Very likely the POW restarting point for block 3011000 will be reached in 5-6 days.

Do not worry about all the campaigns not being ready or announced; they will still be ready by Oct 15 midnight for Translation campaigns to base on & to start. The promotions are for mobile uses of Coin(O). Please do not be surprised when some of web pages (you will be directed to) only show certain Popups on smartphones or other mobile devices but not on the desktop. It is all about "Mobile", as defined by the website's popup controller.  :)

Github: https://github.com/scriptRack003756/coino

Just fixing this up now... noticed the source code archive is 22MB, which is relatively large. The file release/coino-qt.exe is the culprit, please delete it from the source code tree. :)

Looks like the only change is the reward of 4 COINO after the fork, the adding of hardcoded nodes, and some updates to the paths etc for the QT build?

Full information about what could happen next is to be released which depends on proper functioning of the network which still needs to be strengthened and again a jswallet which is the basis of extensive mobile uses.

What is going to be the basis of step-up campaigns in approximately 2 months and before the end of the year, is that Early adopter of Coino might benefit from (as an early bird by) holding Coino and promoting the crypto. What is more important is everyone's efforts of promoting Coino would be accounted for as much as possible.

I am thinking about a You-tube video campaign.

Again, the whole things should be fully tested to work seamlessly before a full-scale of promotion.  :)

A Faucet for Coino Announcement and information for additional Faucet-Jackpot Link-site update at the Fauceting.com is created. It is a weekly faucet.

For all you referral and promotion efforts, always point to this kind of or future new links with a large BTC payout, so you can be rewarded through affiliate links. We have yet to see how useful this could be.

Free Coin Trip Terminal (http://fauceting.com/faucet/110) Edit: not able to work due to jswallet could not be maintained.

It will be maintained effectively
.

Enjoy.  :)

Ok to start Translations now:

1) What to tranalate?

Op of this thread, (Quote one) of this thread

Everything above the:
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NOTE:

2) Creating and posting on a New Language specific annoucement Thread.

As long as all links are working appropriately and no misinformation and the new thread is created, the work is considered done.

3)  There might be better ways to keep the specific-language threads active.  I am finding ways to keep active promoters of Coino rewarded.

One part of translation that you can definite change is the QR code link to Fauceting.com which is build-in with my affiliate link, to see effectiveness of the referral. You are free to create your own affiliated link and to change that part of the scan code.

I am creating an Coino announcement and gateway faucet @ fauceting.com, So that any of your referral can point to that big weekly Faucet for any Coinocoin updates and news; therefore, your referral can be counted and credited.

Let's make Con(O) run for all of us.

Thanks for update, I wil finished my work :)

As exlained above and on the first page of this thread, re: Translation Campaign of Coino, Indonesian translation was reserved and done by someone by the time of your request.  The work was never reserved for you. There was no agreement for any new work for the language.

Anyone can still contribute to promotion. I need more time to find ways to facilitate promotion but certainly not basically duplicate works. Certainly, I will reward for any efforts but not until after I review them and after I see the impacts from those efforts There is no preset amount of possible rewards for those efforts. Sorry for all these.   :)

In short, kakade's translation is the only one available and posted but not getting paid. Both persons' posted or pm messages are so close to each other; therefore, certainly confusing. By the way, are you really separate or one person(s)?  ???

Please continue to contribute to Coin(O).

After more testing periods, A full scale promotion should start within 2 months.

A well functioning, simple, easily interactive, light-weight, streamlined jackpot-like webwallet-based system should be ready by the time.

A Faucet for Coino Announcement and information for additional Faucet-Jackpot Link-site update at the Fauceting.com is created. It is a weekly faucet.

For all your referral and promotion efforts, always point to this kind of or future new links with a large BTC payout, so you can be rewarded through affiliate links. We have yet to see how useful this could be.

Free Coin Trip Terminal (http://fauceting.com/faucet/110)

It will be maintained effectively.

Enjoy.  :)

Please make sure that you post the link to Fauceting.com with your affiliate link.

Just set up Twitter for Coino.
We have 9 Translations.
---------------------------------
Coino was made in Germany.
There are plenty of "Rocket Science" Cryptocurrencies made in Germany nowadays.

What we really need is a very mobile friendly Crypto for any potential users in every corner of this world.

More refinement is needed. Probably a Video clip by the end of the year.  :)

Hi, all CoinoCoiners,

It appears that a fundamental change for Coino coin is needed, i.e.,

A new Coino coin should be created ( with best choice of algo, probable POW(X11)+POS, long block time (333 or 365 seconds)  but higher block rewards (33 or 8 from 4 Coinos/block) to cut Blockchain file size, with all balances ported to the new coin.)

In effect, A new coin (already fully mined) will be forked to and start to run energetically with new algo and any development could happen without problems.

--------------- The line below would be edited for further clarification from time to time ----------------

Since the fork one month ago, problems started to show up.

The lifeline webwallet stopped working. The litesight node crashed and cannot be restarted.
A node was made by the most experienced node maker. This node started to have problems in running. New nodes cannot be started.

This is due to too extremely unprecedented blockchain file size of 1.2 GB for wallet client to take care of. The Bitocoin (with block time "20x" of 500 seconds, 9 years vs 3+ years of lifespan) has about only 1/3 blockchain size and it is not facing this problem yet.

In short, I have to give up the webwallet. Then we are free to start the coin in whatever best possible ways we would want. Because of being a new coin, we should put aside the facts that this coin used to be Scrypt-algo and opt for best choice of POWx11+POS due to being the best choice. A pure POS only new coin is more expensive to build and harder to manage.

Setting up Lotto games, more to come. If needed, would consider getting our own dedicated online Lotto/Games.

Presently Game#30, Draw#1,  https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/Lotto (https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/Lotto)

I accidentally purchased 150 tickets Actually I just wanted to get 3 tickets of 50 CNO ticket price, just to have it started.

More aggressive promotion (including different language thread) and even advertise at Baidu, would be considered after the coming fork.

I got translators. The following is what I am posting at the Chat site of Cryptopia.

Breaking News!! CoinoCoin(CNO) Daily Lotto.
The New Cryptopia Era, promotion for Gaming and Trading
with Cryptos from Chinese-speaking people BEGINS. No kidding.

This is testing. I intend to have those games modified for my promotional purpose, if possible. :D

A new Coino coin should be created ( with best choice of algo, probable POW(X11)+POS, long block time (333 seconds)  but higher block rewards (33 Coinos/block) to cut Blockchain file size, with all balances ported to the new coin.)

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In the coming month, I will focus on promotion parts and have the plan of a fork to POW x11+POS finalized and ready for upgrade within 1-2 months.
Some of cryptos-use promtions could not be derived until after the new coin is made.

Please note that a switch to POWx11 + POS is in the planning; rebuild of wallet is needed. Should be ready in January, 2017 if every goes right.

Some of wallet clients crashed (due to unmanageable, too-large block chain files); new nodes failed to be created.

So far my window wallet client running vista and 32-bit Win7 still works. One running Win7 64-bit cannot load the blockindex file to start.

Further details will be posted from time to time.   :D

I think that you should be aware that unlimited coins will not be popular. If You want  coin had a cost, it must be finite. There is a POS system that can reliably protect the network and at the same time does not allow for inflation. You should review the calculations in which each year is added 5.046 million new coins.

Yes, it would be started @ close to a total annual rate of around 5%.

Secondary, The actual time of starting the new mining algos should be at least 40 days after the time when the new wallet download is ready so that whoever deciding to mine with POS have the last chance to build up the time requirement (usually with staking age of 30-90 days) and the total available Coinos for staking, despite the fact that the plan has already been announced for at least one month.  :D

这是一个挖矿的吗?

Is this a mining of Cryptocoin?

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
是的!
CoinoCoin目前用Scrypt-algo开采

它将在大约一个月内转换为混合工作证明(POW)x11算法和股权证明(POS每年约4.5%)

请参阅https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1626869.60

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Yes!
CoinoCoin is presently mined with Scrypt-algo

It will be changed in about one month to Hybrid Proof of work (POW)  x11 algo and Proof  of stake (POS around 4.5% annually)

Hi,

I want to translate this (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1626869.0) to Turkish. You can see my previous works in here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1557832.0

By the way I wanna ask is the price still 0.05?
If it's, I can open some discussion threads for COINO too.

Thanks

Hello, Doge ¿are you still looking for a translator to Spanish for your COINO COIN? I can update your thread at least for 3 months for a fixed price :)

All three of you are on the reservation list for new translations. Again wait for the notice of starting time for the translations.

I do not think that you understand the whole situation.  There are only few cryptos running at block time of 20 seconds, survived 3 years. The blockchain size is gigantic.  Some of my Coincoin wallets with large wallet transaction records can not respond to any clicks which always make the wallet locked in "unresponsive" state. This kind of problems has been occurring for more than one year long before the recent fork of relaunch. The new wallet client from this does not help.

The webwallet already crashed and became useless.  What's the use a crypto which could not even support a webwallet?

Hi DOGEbubble,

The Coino node is up and syncing at 52.221.247.224

...

I wish you and Coino great success, and hope this node will be valuable to your network.

Additinal Coino nodes cannot be made.

Hey Buddy,

I've been working on that 2nd node, but I'm not having a lot of luck.
It's quite a bit of work to keep the 1st node up and running. It's pretty unstable on Windows.

There seems to be a memory leak in Windows that is causing problems.
If you can find someone to work out the issues, I would be glad to add the additional nodes.

Pnoch has done some work on UNO. I'm not sure if he's still active here, but you might ask him to take a look at it.

I'll focus on keeping the other node up, but adding two more would create more work than I can do.

A wallet client running on my Window 7 computer already crashed cannot be restarted.

How many gigabytes is the blockchain?

On my 'nix server:

blk0001.dat: 1.2GB
blkindex.dat: 1.3GB

There's over 3 million blocks in the chain, and that's probably more the issue, rather than disk space.

developers ay !!!

Unfortunately, Coino the problems are likely systemic. One of my Win Wallet crashed ( more than one months ago, I just gave up for the time being) and another stopped syncing and became unresponsive right before my eyes over the weekend and I had to re-sync it from an earlier copy of the blockchains. I still have a 5 more Win PC Coino wallet running without problems.

The Large blockchain size and data leak problems do occur and not every system will continue to run at this stage. I would hope the coming fork could be  ready in 2-4 week; it will solve this problem.

I am not sure if the Blockchain files I posted before will help you to sync (at the Useful links section of the OP page  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1626869.msg16360290#msg16360290)

Has anyone successfully run the MAC wallet?

-------------------------------------------------------
The Coino won't become more valuable and shine unless some unique features can be built.
I need to build one, especially web and mobile games/programs, unless I can piggy-back the available systems (modified to my needs/proposals.) See examples here.  https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/Forum/Thread/669 (https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/Forum/Thread/669)   (by "Cyberfork".)  :D

Hey guys, I once again suggest you think well before declaring a new specification with such high inflation. Look at the examples with other coins, where there is inflation. For example, Quark, Zetacoin or even Crypto Bullion. They have the same stabile annual inflation. As you can see, nothing but a slow fall is waiting for them. Just understand, people want to have an asset that will rise in price over time. Inflation completely contradicts these rules. Today's crypto algorithms offer a wide range of specifications for different coins and systems. It's not too late to reconsider your position.

If everyone is interested in that coino began to grow in price and new users appeared, then it is necessary not only to change the algorithm for example to X11 ,with the support of anonymous transactions but also to complete the stage of POW with the  transition to POS. At the same time, annual income for POS owners should not exceed 0.5%. This will cover the cost of a twenty-four-hour launch of the wallet and will allow you to earn money through comission on transactions. Only then can we say that such inflation is acceptable.

There are solutions that allow you to completely get rid of inflation. For example, POS revenue will be realized at the expense of the commission charged for the transaction and there will not be any additional increase in the total number of coins. This is the most preferable option because the coin value will be determined based on the exact number of coins. As an example, it's enough to look at XEM.

I think that you should be aware that unlimited coins will not be popular. If You want  coin had a cost, it must be finite. There is a POS system that can reliably protect the network and at the same time does not allow for inflation. You should review the calculations in which each year is added 5.046 million (about 5% annual rare for around 100 million mined CNO) new coins.

I am not sure whether you are looking for 5% POS or 0.5% POS ( in addition to similar rate for POW X11)?  It is true that I equally like 0.5% POS if this is the consensus.  :D

It is time to go ahead with wallet rebuild after the final consensus.  :D

Please note that block times will be changed to 333 (or 365) seconds (for each algo , therefore 166.5 or 182.5 seconds on average) not 20 seconds; otherwise, the blockchain files will grow too big again very quickly.

3) Once Coino is stable on the coming new fork, we could have more long-term projects put in place. The concept is simple: Use the Coino itself as a fuel.  :D

Setting up Lotto games, more to come. If needed, would consider getting our own dedicated online Lotto/Games.

Presently Game#30, Draw#1,  https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/Lotto (https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/Lotto)

More aggressive promotion .......after the coming fork[/color][/size].

This is testing. I intend to have those games modified for my promotional purpose, if possible. :D

If I can convince Hex to modify to have a CNO lotto game with a positive >100 % (say 105 to 120 %) payout for daily Lotto game, it would be great (promotions)   See my suggestions (under the name "Cyberfork" at the froum there: https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/Forum/Thread/669

We have renewed Lotto game:  Game #45, Draw #2 now.  https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/Lotto  :D

I'm just curious about what the owners of millions coino coins think about? Do they really think that by filling their bags with coins they will sit in the underground and wait for growth? If mining continues indefinitely, the price on coino will be fall and fall. Only by getting together and paying for the development of the code they will be able to profit from their investments. It is necessary to interrupt the chain of infinite mining and go to X11 algo and POS. Otherwise it's a waste of time.

So far, probably no active pool for this Scrypt-algo crypto.

So far solo mining can be done without a glitch.

It probably does not matter any more. We have a fork coming to change algo to X11 POW/POS & with wallet rebuild. This aging (crypto) coin failed to support a webwallet (jswallet.)

i guess this coin needs relaunching and some sort of widespread promotion, make some campaign and disemination of information about this coin then make some exchanges addition request to widen the market.
it's a tough job i guess, but it needs to keep it alive.

Can everyone send a request to end the delisting at the Novaexchange.

When I found out that Coino has been trading at the Novaexchange, the Coino was in maintenance mode and I was not sure that it was active; therefore, I have not (although I should have) listed the info at the op page of this discussion thread.

Not knowing the Coino listing there has been the reason of no trading; the last time was in December 2016. :D

For those who had funds on the old webwallet (wallet.coinocoin.com), are they lost or retrievable?  ???

The old webwallet balances (including my deposits there) were stolen and it was subsequently taken down along with the website.

( A new webwallet, a jswallet, failed to work, due to data leak & large blockchain files, leading to the present fork/swap.)

See  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=605442.740 (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=605442.740)

  CNO jswallet <click here  (http://192.241.140.207/)

The CNO jswallet works now. still not fully working for withdrawal.
Mobile use of Coin(o) formally begins today.  :D

I can confirm the official web wallet is broken.  I last checked in on it a few months ago - at that time the Coinod running on it had a balance of several million and all was well.  When I checked it today it has a balance of about 4,000 left.  It shows three accounts that have a negative balance.  I assume someone found an exploit in the code and used it to take the Coino.  I'm not sure the value of Coino really makes such an attack worthwhile... but maybe someone had a lot of time on their hands.

SMCardle wrote the wallet some time ago, before he disappeared.  I don't have any intention of looking for the bug or fixing it given that the other wallet is running now.

Is anyone going to be upset if I just pull the plug on that server and let the old wallet go away?

I might be one of those few using the original Web wallet, deposited a sizable amount, played slot game a few times and forgot about it.
The posted balance for my web wallet is 517544 CNO.

If nothing else we can do, I have no objection to discontinue the old web wallet and to move on to do what are more important. It is costly to maintain a web wallet, even worse if it is not working right and hard to fix.

It's a shame that I can not use them for my up-coming mibile-CNO campaign.

It is my belief that it is the user base not the coin feature itself without everyday-users/adopters of the coin that ultimately determine the cryptocoin value

Both Cryptopia and NOVAexchange have been notified. So are CryptoID (Explorer) and Cryptoguru (faucet) site.

I am still testing and checking the functions.

Make sure to follow procedures to import coins from old wallet.

Please note:

The top 1000 wallet addresses should be updated now. The remaining 100K addresses ( with very low balances, most of them) might take few days, to get redistributed/updated although the whole process might takes longer up to 2-4 weeks to be 100% completed.

You can try to use:
sendmany <fromaccount> '{address:amount,...}' [minconf=1] [comment]

for me, optimal outputs count = 100.
This function usually allow to send a multiple outputs in one transactions. This is a more faster than generate a personal transactions.

I did as you described. But as a result, I get a message "I could not initialize keypool" I'm using Windows 7 x32 I run my wallet through a shortcut with a team
Code:
G:\coino\Coino.exe -salvagewallet

https://abload.de/img/err24ksjt.jpg

This is not an allegation. You can see for yourself my balance in the old wallet

https://abload.de/img/walletc4s5d.jpg

While a new wallet twith  a new wallet.dat file is normally started

https://abload.de/img/new_start1guz5.jpg

But if I run the wallet with the old wallet.dat file without a shortcut -salvagewallet, then I still get this window

https://abload.de/img/err1utsci.jpg

Telescopium,

For my wallet, salvage don't work too.
I transferred all my funded addresses manually. (dumpprivkey, importprivkey)

ps. as i see, now imported only first 1k addresses.

I do not want to import private keys, because I'm not sure that the wallet functions normally and it's securety. My old file wallet.dat is reliably protected by a password and in case of security problems, malicious agents will not be able to use my coins. If here officially announced a new release, then it must be thoroughly tested. Files from the old and new Coino wallet should be compatible. So let the developers check and correct these errors.

I will give you a simple example. When the Diamond developers changed a Script algorithm on the Groestl and released a new wallet, I just needed to transfer my wallet.dat file from the old wallet to the new wallet. And there was no compatibility problem. So this is only a matter of competent coding and compilation.

We did not have this problem with the previous relaunch last year, either. The difference is that we cannot afford the previous large blockchain file sizes. Nobody see the problems; My older, larger wallet files could not run any more for close to one year and Coino has been considered as dead to me.

I do not know of any direct fork/swap has been done for a crypto of such large blockchain files. Yes, it will be close to about one month to get all Addresses redistributed/propagated/updated. This process can not be tested until it is tested in the real world and in real time. It is not about the competency of programming. It is about $ and budget to get it done. If we can hire a supercomputer, we probably will not see significant delay and face such issues.

A swap from old coin to a total new coin through exchanges is the usual way but there are issues of whether the swap would be done appropriately and transparently.  :D

One minute. If you think that the only correct way to transfer an old wallet to a new one is to export and import a private key, then why describe a method that does not work in advance with the replacement of the wallet.dat file?

You say that this coin was already considered dead for you, but who then organized this update?. Any new development requires the forces of time and money. If certain resources were spent on this update, then let's make it so that all users of Coino can update their files normally. Otherwise it will be a bad start with a new sheet.

I do not believe there is misspelling. I meant that Coino was and "has been considered as dead to me"-  Not the case after rebuilding of blockchain files to a new one.

Nothing suggests that this approach won't work . I have yet to confirm with some of my Coino addresses in the "top 1000" to see there is any problem. The one I started with has only 16 coino and at this moment it is zero in balance; it does not both me because it is consistent with the fact that more time is likely needed.

I do believe that a few days are needed to confirm that most Coino addresses balance are finished with redistribution. Any approach could take time but I admit that this approach of waiting could be worrisome for me and certainly for anyone in the community.

I have yet to wait till stabilization of this Coino fork before further promotional campaigns.

What I am worrying more is that some of campaigns might not be working as anticipated. The best exchange with the exact kind of faucet functionality ( that I can take advantage of ), I have found and mentioned before, is TradeSatochi  https://www.tradesatoshi.com/Exchange/?market=J_BTC (https://www.tradesatoshi.com/Exchange/?market=J_BTC) which has been AWOL/getting gateway error for one week. I hope that it will come back and it would be the only problem and no more.

The fork for Coino is created by Cryptolife Development. Basically, we are having him (Hazad) repair a dysfunctional old Coino wallet and conduct a internal swap (by porting balances to the new wallet) and essentially create a new coin with Hybrid algo. Both Crypotpia and NOVAexchange are aware of this. Cryptopia even leaves trading open at this moment.

This forum is more for technical/netwrok issues. The present hard fork probably won't be 99.99% completed within one more week although presently any address with balance of 100 or more should have the balance been redistributed (to the new coin).

I think we need to create a new Coio forum in the coming week, to have all info posted in new pages to improve usability especially for new users. I am talking about new users (who are not necessary miners) who could be only attracted to adopt Coino unless it is mobile and streamlined and friendly to use.

Other than relying on the present faucet and gearing up Google Ads which was previously run with limited budgets ( resulting in about 8000 clicks over the past 10 month), as I have said, please help us get Coino upvoted to Tradesatochi. It has exactly the kind of Faucet I want to use with the advantage of having "Coino webwallet" there to use.

More campaigns and details will be posted.

Finally got it working.  The -salvage... did not work.  I had to do dumpprivkey / importprivkey method and had to sync old wallet first to avoid -2 error.
Lost 10K coins in the process but it's not the first time.  Cost of doing business.

Problem now is the wallet not syncing up till 7 hours ago.  I'll give up soon-ish.  :-\

Hopefully my exchange has better luck...

We are apparently facing a prolonged time to get the next block.
Overt the past 6 days, A few of new blocks take more than 4 hours, several taking up to 9-10 hours, and only one taking more than 24 hours at the beginning.

It should become better as long as more miner can sync and join after the next block. This is the problem despite that NOVaexchange has taken Coino off maintenance mode; probably due to the syncing issue.  :D

кaк пepeвecти cтaтyc мoнeт в кoшeлькe нeдocтyпeн в cтaтyc дocтyпeн?

The problem is that the blockchain/redistribution (from old wallet to new wallet) is running slow. The last 2 new blocks takes more than 24 hours  already.

The problem is miners/mining pools. I bet x11 can be solo mined with this low difficulty but I could be wrong and a mining pool is needed in any way. My initial plan was to have a pool set up at Cryptopia but Mineshaft is presently in maintenance and they said that they are presently only focusing on keeping up with exchange trading load. I am presently asking Prohasing to set up a pool for us and unclear we will get one there.

The network should start to improve. I would at least try to set up more POS mining to see if network can pick up more speed. The exchanges and transactions won't work unless the network is more active.  :D

Folks, keep up with POS power until x11 mining pool for CNO is ready to take over some part of network activity.

Also unfortunately beware of

CNO Delisting at Cryptopia

Coino is considered a new coin and CNO delisting is going to happen. It needs to be relisted gain.

The cost is 2M DOT (at about 80 Sat each now) or a total of up 1.6 BTC to get exchange listing at the present price.

===================================================================
Sender: fairlady6/28/2017 8:35:16 AM

Hi

CNO is being delisted due to it undergoing a coin swap we were told that it was going to be a fork. per our standard process this means its a new coin and will need to be relisted by the CNO team
......
Users have 30 days from 28/06/17 to withdraw their CNO coins.
CNO is marked for delisting please withdraw your coins as soon as possible
.
===================================================================

Once the new wallet is stable to be out of maintenance mode in general, we should be able to get our coins there back.
We should apply to be listed at CryptoDAO
Again, I need to apply for vote at TradeSatoshi due to its associated Faucet functions (in addition to the faucet at Cryptoguru site) which are going to be major forces of initial promotion/campaign, and please help it up-voted there

Further revamp of OP page, website pages, new Faucet.com campaign as well as gear-up of Google Ads and other promotions will be done ASAP to achieve the exponential growth.

Lastly, the real driving force is folks and their enthusiasm propelled by Coino-specific affiliate system and its apps; we have to make one ASAP. Before that, we have to piggyback available systems/sites (such as fauceting.com site.)

After the first 3 years , we should recognize that

Coino is a Coin of Revelation

"", It is "folks" and usership not the other features of coins (linking to specific region, people, purpose, etc)
Neither $ or # are fragmented like the cryptos.

I will decide over weekend if it is worth paying to be relisted at Cryptopia.
It cost about 2 BTC to buy up 2000000 DOT at this moment. This is enough money to set up a Crypto Exchange site Solely for Coino itself!  :o

point yourminer at stratum+tcp://p2pool.e-pool.net:5855 using as username YourWalletAddress and any password you like

Please describe the steps for transferring coins  in the new wallet.

The error "Cannot initialize keypool" occurs due to such as the old wallet having an address (with zero balance) which is nonexistent in the new Coino network; therefore, you have to import balances of each address individually.

1) Sync the old Coino wallet client, unlock wallet (To unlock wallet please see post# 203 for details, or see code below.)

Copy {address}
Click <Help><Debug Window><Console>
In the Console, Type

Code:
walletpassphrase you_pass 500
dumpprivkey address

         to unlock the wallet &
         to get the private_key

2) Sync the new Coino wallet cient, unlock wallet by clicking <Setting><Wallet security><Unlock wallet> if it is locked

Click <Help><Debug Window><Console>
Type importprivkey private_key or as below:

Code:
importprivkey private_key

You are done. The balance should be imported but the address won't show up until you restart it after you exit the new wallet client.

In case of discrepancies of balance(s) due to Some of old wallet balances still in the unspent categories & no redemption occurred, i.e., transactions which were posted in the balances of the old wallet and was never associated with an address even in the old blockchain, so far I know only occurring in solo mining directly into the wallet without subsequent tranasactions such as sending to another wallet address prior to the snapshot.

Any proper documentation of discrepancy of 50 Coino or less will be taken care of by me as soon as possible.
Any higher amount will need more time for verification but any amount higher than 1000 Coino has to come from the small amount of premine for the descrepancy held by the services.

In my opinion, you forgot to mention one important detail. if your wallet is encrypted, when you try to export the private key, you will receive this notification:

https://abload.de/img/f8c0bc40d9a7f37e51cbcresq8.jpg

To ensure that the export process was successful, you first need to use the following command:
Code:
walletpassphrase you pass 500

And only after that, you can use this command:

Code:
dumpprivkey you wallet adress

Well that in the DMD team has people who understand these issues. I myself would hardly figured it out  :) It is a pity that here, you are misleading about these important points.

Now I moved all my coins to a new wallet and already managed to get POS income

Thank you for posting the details.

I did not forget to say "1) Sync the old Coino wallet client, unlock wallet" at post #199, but further clarification is useful. Thanks.  :D

There is a big difference between the concept of unlock your wallet and change the password. in the old coino POW wallet, there is no option to unlock it. It exists only in POS wallets. That is, in your old coino wallet, you can only change your password to a new one. But you can't completely cancel this password. That is why it is important, that the these instructions for transfer coins were used the most detailed description for all these important points.

In any case, thank you for caring about the coin. I hope that coino will revive again and the exchange will take this coin for auction  :)

P2Pool node:   http://p2pool.e-pool.net:5855/static/

point yourminer at stratum+tcp://p2pool.e-pool.net:5855 using as username YourWalletAddress and any password you like

PS: I create the pool but i do not have power to test it (i mine now with my laptop cpu :( ), can someone point some hash power to it, as i do not know if the blocks will be found correctly.

PS1: After we know for sure the pool it's working perfect we will add it to our exchange:

So I downloaded the old wallet so I can export and import each address manually but the old wallet is not syncing because it has no connections.

I hope someone can help me out here.

Thanks in advance

Old network is not working any more.

Without syncing,
You can still get your wallet address, go to console and dumpprivkey to get privet key of the wallet address; then importprivkey to the new CNO wallet client.

Details: please see post #199 of (this) old Bitcointalk thread.

Good luck.  :D

ps: Any address with zero balance and never had transactions won't be recognized by the old or the new blockchain.

To the devs:
Nice to see some people are still keeping this coin going.  Has anyone heard of or considered working to join this decentralized exchange?
http://barterdex.com/

Could be a good thing for Coino

There are 2 chains on Cryptopia, CNO and OLD-CNO. Just forgot of CNO, there's still a swap ongoing? Is there any new dev or news? It seems kind of abandoned topic...
