I don't have any interest in field hockey and to be honest I haven't seen anyone here interested in this kind of sport as well but should such interest arouses I will gladly expand the thread to include more kinds of hockey. At the moment the main focus will be on ice hockey though. Regards. I'd say it is way too early to predict, however it is very possible for Tampa Bay to get the cup. Currently, in these early preseason NHL games, I'd say not to bet at all, or bet low on the underdog as upsets are very common in the preseason. Also I have decided to update the heading of the thread every time we have reached new higher odds of winning bets because in hockey it's not uncommon to get upsets @ monster odds and I think it would be fun to aim higher when the opportunity arises. I took your latest tip and put a small amount of money on it as I know they are the underdogs in this game. But hopefully they can get up and win for us both and if not it's all good as i know the risks involved with betting against the favorites so you will have no complaints from me if they loose. I actually prefer to bet on upsets like I do in the NFL and on Sunday I hit 3 of my 4 upset tips so I like betting on upsets especially as it is a 50/50 chance at winning as most teams are evenly matched in the NHL. I had the Stars at the money line @2.20 as they were due for a win after a couple of tough games in a row where they just lost and were unlucky to go down in OT against the Chicago Blackhawks and then were thrashed by the Jets so I thought it was time for them to win. With NHL it can go either way as we often see underdogs winning as the League is so evenly matched.

They started the season not very well and had shaky results but they have been playing quite decently as of late and have climbed the leaderboard to the 7th place. Red Star also perform very well at home and can score goals vs favorites and a recent example of that is their home loss against SKA 3-5. SKA are the best team in the KHL and Red Star managed to score thrice. Not too shabby. Now CSKA are on the 2nd place and have ambitions to catch up with SKA but they are kinda inconsistent on the road and what's more, I heard CSKA will be missing some key players for today's match. It looks like the home advantage is very important and the home teams have won all their games so far. I think the Penguins should win tonight. Then the Predators should win Game 6 and then hopefully Game 7 and lift the cup.

Tonight's pick - Penguins ML I don't watch hockey except for last year's stanley cup final and the Pens made me some money previously so i'm going for them again. This pick is slightly risky imo after checking the last 4 matches of this final because the Preds made more away goals than the the Pens. I just hope this series goes the full distance. I saw one guy's comment that the Penguins are the Patriots of the NHL and I can't agree more. So I was watching that KHL game between Salavat Ufa and Kunlun Red Star today at a sports bar and spotted a nice opportunity to get really nice odds at moderately low risk and I ended up placing 2 maximum stake live bets which both won in the end. Scoreless first 2 periods were a hint for quite some goals in the last 3rd ;D I wish the limits were higher though.
