I think bitcoin will suite very well with porn/adult industry as the one who like to watch and enojoy adult items always like to remain anonymous and what can be better for them than bitcoin to stay anonymous while paying for the stuffs. Gambling and adult industry could be major bitcoin targeted markets.

There are few big sites accepting it but I am rather surprised not all porn sites accept Bitcoin, it's just the perfect fit for their industry with people preferring to maintain a certain degree of privacy and don't want these showing on the CC statements.

Not only because of the anonymity, but you also avoid getting stuck in recurring bills from these companies. This is something a lot people have been struggling with. They sign up for a month, but the small letters that these people didn't see clearly, say that it's a recurring service. With Bitcoin this is over.

it didn't happen overnight. they use BTC for quite a while

I bet lots of girls working in cam sites would prefer Bitcoin if the really knew about it, but I certainly wouldn't get naked for any form of money  ;D

Anonymity equals to privacy :D haha we cant say that it is anonymous but it is safer than paypal it cant be track we can say that he she is shy that he bought that kind of stuff but also because of fast transaction and low fees? :D But as long as the accepts bitcoin as payment then lot of people will buy it :D

Bitcoin and porn is sure a great couple, now the porn lover can enjoy porn without the need to provide identity, and now comes with virtual reality, i am sure porn lover and porn industry really grateful that satoshi created bitcoin

The problem is you can't prove your age with BTC.

Teenagers don't prove their age when they use their Dad's credit card to sign up for porn either, get what I mean?

A porn site will ask a user to verify that they are over 18, if they do so then it's on them whatever payment method they're using.

At least with bitcoin your wife can't check your statements ;)

I'm thankful for every site that offers bitcoin as a payment method.
I just hope that it will stay there.
The problem with all those average porn sites in my opinion is that customers tend to download the content from other sources out of the internet. No matter what payment methods are offered.
Maybe with bitcoin this trend will change a bit.

Bitcoin, but it did not show a massive increase in the price. It takes time for these sales to happen, as adoption grows steadily.  ;)

I think most people wouldn't mind Paypal since it's pretty easy to get an account and hide it from your partner/family.
Credit cards are different, can't keep hiding the monthly statements that come through mail.

That said, most porn websites only offer CC payments, usually not even Paypal.
In those cases it would be quite beneficial if they would all include Bitcoin payments.

The problem is that very few people are using it. The reason it's embraced by VR is because those guys watching it are geeks

paying for porn is a very quaint idea these days. I can see live tipping still being a thing but no one's gonna be paying for any recorded content in the future. people don't want to pay for media any more and if they think it's a little illicit they'll feel even less need to do so. I sure wouldn't want to be in the porn business any more.

i'll be dead when my dad found out there are some statemant for paying porn.
anyway the majority would be thinking twice before purchase some porn in internet, due to the privacy is the most important that's why they used bitcoin, but this is not a big adoption only small % of the porn site in this world that accept bitcoin as payment method.

Is VR porn really that great? Just curious. And besides, who pays for porn? HD porn is widely available for free nowadays.

Yeah, free stuff is always going to trump paid most of the time, not necessarily in quality however it definitely will in viewer-base and subsequent revenue. The only place I can see payment forms being useful for this specific industry are niche things, like VR. Anything that isn't unique in some way with a higher production value will be ignored for the most part.

I am not a fan of porn... however, I guess the use of bitcoin will make those who like porn feel a bit more secure as the payment is much difficult to track. Payment using Paypal may end up with a transaction record on your credit card which may be embarrassing when your wife or partner saw that accidentally...

This is a good sign that bitcoin is starting to be the choice of payment over Paypal. Hopefully Paypal will speed up its integration with bitcoin.

It's totally mindblowing if you know how to watch it. It might be hard to setup it for the first time for not tech savvy people. But once you did it's one of a kind experience

It means that now bitcoin is getting more strength as not only that site is accepting bitcoin but gradually all of the remaining sites will accept bitcoin as their payment because they know that the future of digital currency is only in bitcoin.
