Title: Proud to announce the release of EZMiner: A lightweight, efficient BTC Miner!
Post by: EZMiner on April 01, 2013, 10:57:43 PM
After almost 6 months of lurking and reading both here and the bitcoin subreddit, and after 3 months of hardcore development I'm really excited to release my first ever mining tool!

What is it?

EZMiner is a lightweight (856kb), efficient, multi-purpose miner that supports BOTH CPU and GPU mining.

What can I mine?

EZMiner currently supports both BTC and LTC, with plans to expand in future updates.

Why should I use EZMiner over any other miner?

Not only will you be supporting a fellow Redditor's coding progress, but you'll also be able to mine at an average has rate up to 15% faster than any other miner.
EZMiner is also incredibly noob-friendly, with an easy to use interface.

How much does it cost?

EZMiner is absolutely free in an effort to support the continued growth of Bitcoin.

Download release version 1.0 here! (http://ge.tt/59wZamc)

I have a question/problem, what should I do?

I'll be on hand on answer any questions via Reddit PM (username is EZMiner), or you can email me at EZMinerDev@gmail.com, and I'll get back to you ASAP!

I think I'd only trust this if I saw the source on Github.  Random executables? NOPE

I'm still weighing up whether or not to go open source, since this has taken months of code optimisation and I don't fancy having someone steal it.

Aside from spam posts about rising value, Reddit has a lot of insightful discussion on bitcoin, it's only the rest of the subreddits that suck dick.

So it's an EXE, meaning this will only work on Windows machines?  How about a README at the very least?

Yes, for now it's only available for windows, and you'll need the .NET 2.0 framework.

I can put a readme together if people are having trouble working the miner, although it's fairly self explanatory.

You're not going to get a lot of testers without the source being open to scrutiny on github...people are paranoid about stuff like that.

Just sayin'

Your posting on reddit didn't go over so well either it looks like:
