Title: Import Paper Waller on Blockchain.info
Post by: Milkduds on October 16, 2016, 06:24:41 PM
Recently upgraded my computer and was unable to get into my blockchain wallet due to my computer being out of date and now I am getting used to the new blockchain and have a question about importing paper wallets.

Tried to find how to do this but all I could see was options related to buying and selling and nothing about import/export.
So I was forced to use my mycellium wallet to get paper wallets from a bitcoin atm onto my blockchain wallet.

Does anyone have a link or know how I can import paper wallets into my blockchain wallet?
Was easy on the old wallet but I can not find anything on the new one, please help me out. :)

The new wallet is kinda hard to use but once you get used to it , you should be good to go.
Blockchain released a blog post 4 days ago : https://support.blockchain.com/hc/en-us/articles/207746403-Addresses so just check the "Import addresses" part , you will be able to import either a private key or public key (which means It will be watch only).
I'm not sure If it allow you to scan QR code (as the private key would be hard to re-type) , If it doesn't then just read the QR code (there is plenty of tools out there) and then copy and paste it .

Thanks for the link will go check this out right now and get sorted out for the future.

The wallet does seem harder to navigate and I was thinking it would actually be easier with the update as opposed to the older version.
Will use today to get it all figured out so I am not bungling around months from now.

Have you tried their mobile wallet? check their android wallet and you can pair your wallet directly to your web wallet. I find using their mobile wallet quite easier as well as you can actually easily import new address from paper wallet. You just need to click on top left corner option and you will see addresses, inside it click on below right + buttom than there will be option of import address click it and scan the private key from paper wallet. I have done this several times.

The upgraded blockchain.info has so many users confused, they should have made it simpler to navigate.
