Title: Solar Array upgrade due to Hurricane Matthew. Sound Proof Water Proof details Post by: philipma1957 on October 16, 2016, 06:26:14 PM Okay Hurricane Matthew came and left and it exposed leaks in the solar array roofing.
outside view of array's exhaust vent https://i.imgur.com/8PnlhFa.jpg heavy rain and wind got water in. https://i.imgur.com/NcoJFz2.jpg solution for now is build a tent. Use this item from amazon I got a four by 18 piece for 92 bucks. I doubled it to help the sound. I used a heavy duty staple gun I used the box it was shipped in to peak the roof . https://www.amazon.com/Car-Insulation-Deadener-Automotive-Lightweight/dp/B016QUSH6G/ref=sr_1_1? https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/81p%2BpquA0ZL._SL1500_.jpg https://i.imgur.com/QE2oClC.jpg Title: Re: Solar Array upgrade due to Hurricane Matthew. http://www.target.com/p/adjustable-3-tier-wide-wire-shelving-chrome-room-essentials/-/A-17136152?lnk=abtest_searchpdp_2 it was 32 bucks. and I got 2 sets of it along with the 92 for the silver foam. so 92 + 32+ 32 = 166 allows 2 shelf sets which can fit a lot of gear. The silver tunnel moves all air in the right direction It also cuts sound quite a bit.. but in my case it stops rain fall. I lost an eth rig to hurricane Matthew but I was lucky the atx pus got wet and killed the mobo at the 8 pin plug in. the four gpus are good the cpu is good the m2 ssd is good the ram is good. one shelf rack and the better foam in a double thickness https://i.imgur.com/Z9kBm9f.jpg I then did a second tier of water proof with this https://i.imgur.com/Lk8oBWJ.jpg http://www.lowes.com/pd/Reflectix-100-sq-ft-Reflective-Roll-Insulation-48-in-W-x-25-ft-L/3011906 it is 40 bucks for 25 feet and it cut sound down some what but it really work well to prevent leaks. https://i.imgur.com/JmB7oc0.jpg https://i.imgur.com/0qdULlP.jpg https://i.imgur.com/onodqlF.jpg Job has room for 2 or 3 eth rigs on second shelf https://i.imgur.com/FVA5QH8.jpg https://i.imgur.com/nTS2DAn.jpg Title: Re: Solar Array upgrade due to Hurricane Matthew. you can buy this http://www.lowes.com/pd/Reflectix-100-sq-ft-Reflective-Roll-Insulation-48-in-W-x-25-ft-L/3011906 40 bucks for 25 ft by 4 feet http://www.target.com/p/adjustable-3-tier-wide-wire-shelving-chrome-room-essentials/-/A-17136152?lnk=abtest_searchpdp_3 31.50 for 1 set. 63.00 for 2 sets that is about 100 dollars you could fit 10 s9's on first rack you could fit psu's on second rack and you could lay a mover blanket over the silver foil Title: Re: Solar Array upgrade due to Hurricane Matthew. Title: Re: Solar Array upgrade due to Hurricane Matthew. Sound Proof Water Proof details Post by: philipma1957 on October 16, 2016, 07:11:24 PM Yeah 100 bucks and a mover blanket like this http://www.harborfreight.com/72-in-x-80-in-moving-blanket-69505.html
would be safe from fire since the silver bubble wrap and the shelf keep the blanket from fire danger. but if you were look for just sound proof the two sets of shelf from target are 31.50+31.50 = 63 + 64 + 9 for the moving blanket = 136 for 10 s9's https://www.amazon.com/Car-Insulation-Deadener-Automotive-Lightweight/dp/B016QUS3MO/ref=sr_1_17?-- 64 usd http://www.target.com/p/adjustable-3-tier-wide-wire-shelving-chrome-room-essentials/-/A-17136152? ----- 63 usd http://www.harborfreight.com/72-in-x-80-in-moving-blanket-69505.html ------------------------------------- 9 usd 136 usd for 10 s9's no fire issues and good sound reduction |
