Title: Getting a HD 6870 Post by: Kasaf on April 02, 2013, 06:13:46 PM I'm currently trying to mine with an Nvida GTX460 but it's got a low hash rate.

https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Mining_hardware_comparison I would recommend a 5850 or a 6950 You might be able to find some used ones for about 100 to 150$ Nvidia makes great videocards for videogames, autocad but not for bitcoin mining due to having far less shader cores. I chose the 6870 because it was readily available from ebuyer for £100 and I couldn't find a 5850 new.

Try to find one or two 5870, they do +/- 430 MH/s if you overclock them. I run two VaporX 5870 on 930 Mhz.
