Title: How to Structure an Initial Coin Offering (ICO)
Post by: meeekz on October 22, 2016, 01:11:22 PM
Can someone point me in the right direction.

I am looking for a checklist of all the elements necessary to hold a successful ICO.
Does anyone know of a consultant who can assist with the structuring of an ICO.
Has anyone used ICOO ?

Thanks

Do you mean from the legal standpoint or...? That's quite a generic question

I believe the answer depends on the project for which the ICO is organised.

If the project is big enough I would propose to contact BnkToTheFuture Online Investment Platform (https://bnktothefuture.com/).

You may also check Ronny Boesing's CCEDK (https://www.ccedk.com/)

I am trying to understand how to hold an ICO. I understand all that's involved from a promotional perspective so the info I seek is:

Technical setup (wallet applications that may be available for website integration)
Legal Issues
Accounting (involving decisions of token quantity and price)
etc.

It all depends on the method of carrying out the ICO.
I think you can study the experience of the ICO on the cryptocurrency exchanges. This information is quite overall, but it can be useful.

I have seen so many ICO turning scam and some of them has great graphics fantastic features and great promises but after getting a lot of funds, the devs just vanish, you need to fully convince now that your Ico is very much different from those Ico's..

Sorry I can't help.  It would be better to create a new coin with no ICO because almost nobody buys into it.
As soon as I see the letters ICO on an ANN page I run.

Vitalik, maidsafe's Irvine, singular-dtv Zach are happy to answer OP's question.

You need a very special idea, innovative enough to persuade everyone buys your tokens, but this kind of super wise concept is not easy to have, they are all genius projects. So plz know the top tech first, be an experienced in the community, you will have successful ICO.

This is an ambitious project I have seen so many Ico promising the stars and the moon and this one sounds like that, you will need a very good team for this, people are enough of the word ICO so goodluck to your project if ever it materialize.

A very good thread design, with all the info about the coin and its Future, since this will serve as a first impression and as your frontdesk.

Here's my collection of documents how ICOs and WPs (mostly ICOs) are structured

I've spent couple of months collecting them, so if you appreciate my work - please add me some good carma in exchange ;)
