Title: Which Game Would You Rather Play?
Post by: Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz on October 26, 2016, 09:36:11 PM
Me and my friend are currently working on a game using the MoneyPot API.

We're stuck between two options, please help us.

I didn't fully understand the first option , is it going to be a case opening thing or a full game that looks like CS:GO , an FPS where there is two teams etc...? I will choose CS:GO in both cases as that game is famous and well designed so chances that you will get more players are high If you do that.

The cases in the first option will contain different possible multipliers instead of virtual weapons. To get these cases you will pay for them. So I could buy a case for 0.01 BTC, the case contains at least one 2x multiplier and I could win 0.02 BTC.

Personally, the CS:GO-style case opening would be a good concept for a game. Case opening in the game itself is already exciting, and allowing it for players to directly bet with money would just make it top.

I think it would be more interactive than the 10x10 grid concept - there's already a couple minesweeper-esque games out there; (and though I know the concept is different) we don't really need more of them. Fresh concepts are always good - innovation > stagnation.

I like the second option to have hidden random multiplier in 10x10 grid game which is quite likely i have seen in several paid to click site's grid game before. I used to love playing on those grid games and often have won jackpot amount.

We have decided on the CSGO style game, more details will come out soon.

I would prefer the second option as it's relatively simpler and easier (at least in my opinion) to play. And although CS:GO is very famous, I think you'll be better off attracting more people with the second option.

I would prefer and suggest that you should work for your CSGO Style Case (Multiplier) Opening project. No doubt that it will on hype once you completed that  game. Because the popularity of the game is not questionable and when someone hears that game name, it can easily caught their interest from your game. And if they are those addicted players of it, then they will support it.

Of course a csgo game, it is more challenging and if possible create another game that require skill to win the game, if you only making 10x10 grid the user will get bored, so you need something more exciting than that

Well CS:GO is already very successful, so you might be able to tap into a share of that market. In July 2016 Alexa.com gave csgolounge.com

a global rank of 574. In March 2016, 38 million people visited the site. CSGO Lounge’s Steam group has more than half a million members.

Do you have to pay royalties to Valve, to use this concept?

Most probably he will have to pay.
At their expense, he will be earning through their games so its must be fair to simply give back. Everyone like CSGO, its classic. Old farts are sill playing that game. I sometimes do wit my nieces.

I think #1 is better in terms of being different, but I question the issues related to IP from doing something like this. If there aren't any IP concerns, that's my vote, and you could further skin it with other games/styles as well, for things like holidays or just to give players options.

CS GO is the best!

Since CS has a massive player base and wellknown all around the world, CS-GO style will probably attract a lot more players than the other option. Go with the CSGO you won't be sorry.

Hmf? Yeah steam games now are very demanding to the gamers around the world. Justs like CS GO. Apart from that, DOTA 2 is more well known other than CS Go. But since steam now accepts bitcoin as payment in getting steam wallet code. I think it is not needed to choose that too.

Everyone is just seeing 'CS:GO' and thinking 'AWESOME!'

But when bitcoin is involved, users would (in my opinion) prefer something that appears more random than just clicking a graphic and seeing what pops up.  I would only vote for a case-style unlock, if you are receiving something that can be used elsewhere (items, etc.)

With a grid-like game, there is more interaction as well, and more enticement behind such implementation.

If I were your, I would prefer CSGO because it is more virtual and more strategic game. Nowdays, people tend to play a game that can not do in reality.

I would prefer CSGO, it's more realistic game and strategic game. Gamers that also know bitcoin would love it. Good Luck on that project bro's. two thumbs up on you.

The box/crate/case opening has always been a successful business model, because it works. It really gets people going. Bonus points if you add other items in there instead of just multipliers, things that people have to collect to get something else.
