Though, if it is such a good investment, why is everybody aren't doing it?

As far as I'm concerned, I prefer the "buy and hold" strategy, plus a strict diversification discipline.

Never sell, and buy a lot of things :  shareholdings, commodities, precious metals.  If you are really wealthy, you can also buy things that cost a lot :  real estate, art and other stuffs.

Avoid monetary funds, government bonds and anything which is assimilated to cash.   Buy what money can buy, don't keep money for itself.

My advice is to use dollar cost averaging to purchase coins. If you invest a set amount each week it is better than trying to time the market.

ie time in the market is better than timing the market.  :)

I liquidated my small IRA and bought gold starting ~2.5 years ago, move of the decade imo. Don't hold stranger's promises, they'll be good until you actually need them.

In my opinion, the time to sell will be when "everyone including the shoeshine boy" is buying gold as an investment and the price is skyrocketing.

There is still some years until something like that could happen (there is even a small chance of hyperinflation). When the DOW to gold ratio goes under 3 or 2 its time to start thinking on selling. But I am pretty sure you still have 3 or 4 years until that happens.

Where do they store the gold you bought? If its in  bank they can confiscate it :(

The best way to invest, is to sure what you are investing for and to know the importance,value and profit that we may gain. Also the focus of what you are investing cause it may lead us to succes.  Bitcoin is a way if we invest for sure we may not regret if we dont lose hope.

Though I prefer the "buy low, sell high" kind of crypto investment. It has a very low risk and profit is guaranteed with the right amount of knowledge. It is easier and you literally just need time and faith that you can cash out profit.

I am a great fan of diversification and hence I always go with systematic investment plan which emphasizes on buying smaller units at a higher frequency of time during the particular time frame so that you get the benefit of every price fall taken place during that time frame. Although i know of people who does this but they say that the earnings are too slow for their liking. But then again, it would depend fron person to person. I myself like to just hold on to coins. Watch it rise and if it dips in the price (like a major dip) thenni will buy some more.
