Title: Accepted Proofs In BitMinter & What They Mean
Post by: MrAlanC on October 31, 2016, 12:37:51 AM
Hello, I need some guidance. I'm brand new to bitcoin mining. I have ordered a large mining rig. However until that comes I am using an Alienware Area 51 to mine.

I am using BitMinter & am curious if I am making any bitcoin. I left the pc on over night and my stats are as shown below:

So I have 3584 proofs of work accepted. What does this mean? Is this enough to earn some bitcoin? Please advise me. Also if it does earn me bitcoin when will I see it in my bitminter account. All help is appreciated.

Alan

Bitminter software support:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=31163.0

Bitminter pool support:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=788753.0

Use either of those instead of posting a separate thread please.

And no, if you are mining with the bitminter client, you are not earning anything of any significance because it only mines on outdated hardware that cannot generate bitcoin of a meaningful quantity, only 'dust.'
