As I seen in the Chinese community,many people are talking about SW and BU in the Wechat Groups,But have no consensus yet.

Antpool support the BU and try to persuade others accepte their views,for most of them don't know what's the international bitcoin community views.

Is there anybody else like to Join the Wechat group and tell them some more thruth.or just post here,I will translate it to Chinese.

It should be a hardfork,and activated by about 75% miner's consensus.but it seems only a few miners support it,anyway, if antpool turn to support it publicly,the situation will be complicated.

Anymore information I can have to learn abut this?

is it really bitcoin have unlimited version? i don't think it will be unlimited because all sources has limited for use and even in internet itself, but if its really true then it will be good so miners still can mining bitcoin although the diff will be increase.

unlimited version is just a name...
still "limited" to an X amount of blocks(dont remember the exact number.. too lazy to open marketcap now lol), still have halvings etc etc etc.

the only thing "unlimited" is the size of the block, which will be decided by the miner.

because bitcoin price can very low
so another altcoin can replace position bitcoin in number one rank crypto coin

you can see in dogecoin although dogecoin user is big community but dogecoin price still low because production total dogecoin is very big

If you look at those people behind Bitcoin Unlimited you will see they are all self serving people only looking to benefit themselves and again most of them have moved into other coins or the other. They only realise that Bitcoin is the real deal and want to turn it into their baby. Bitcoin Core team have their own issues but you can still see genuineness in their intentions

I am just waiting for the day the Chinese force a hardfork, i think its a very possible scenario (unattached to the real reason for a fork).
But with a unlimited blocksize things will only get worse I guess...

Bitcoin Unlimited is a relatively easy concept. Anyone could code it.. so you don't really need a dedicated dev team. It's the idea that matters.

A BU node has 2 parameters that the miner can specify.

'max-build-size' and 'see-if-it-works-size'. 'see-if-it-works-size' is the bigger and it is meant to see if the rest of the network will accept a block before you do as well.

When they receive a block they check the size and..

1) If the size is less than or equal to the 'max-block-size' they have specified for themselves, they start building on it AND forward it to the network.

2) If the size is greater than their 'max-build size' but LESS than the 'see-if-it-works-size' they have specified for themselves, they ONLY forward it to the network (but don't build on it - until a majority of the network is working on it).

3) If it is more than both the 'max-build-size' and the 'see-if-it-works-size' they don't build AND don't forward it (ignore it completely).

That's it. (basically)

Do I support it.. almost. I like the idea of a decentralised mechanism for determining the block size, but this way may cause issues.. can we be trusted to NOT fuck this up.. ?  ;) (And you have to be pretty bad ass to tell #GMAX to stick it.)

Do you like a hard fork? Maybe we could pick up some cheap bitcoins by that time.

bitcoin unlimited version doesn't mean the supply will be unlimited available.
i agree that the name of "bitcoin unlimited version" itself a little bit misleading.
so maybe anyone can make this things more clear for a non-bitcoin technical savvy? what the point of having unlimited block size?

BU is merely an alternative client. All BU coins are coins on the main Bitcoin blockchain. BU does not mine alt coins - it mines Bitcoins. The central innovation of BU is to allow the maxblocksize to be set by emergent consensus of the network, rather than by decree of a handful of developers.
