Title: 5850 Core speed Post by: SkyNet on April 07, 2013, 07:46:45 PM Hi everyone,
I own a 5850 card which is limited to 775Mhz Engine Clock. I am overclocking using gpuminer. The card is a Gigabyte. I am reading through other topics that people are clocking these more than 900Mhz. Any idea how to go beyond the 775Mhz point? Title: Re: 5850 Core speed Post by: brekyrself on April 07, 2013, 07:50:54 PM Use CGMiner. You can set any engine clock speed and have it adjust based on target temps etc... A must if not in front of the miner 24/7.

already at 900Mhz mining more than 350Mhash CGminer is a powerful tool Title: Re: 5850 Core speed Post by: n4l3hp on April 08, 2013, 04:51:41 AM Try 960 core (1.05v), about 400mh/s. Temp was almost 80C, decreased to 68-71C (fan @ 80%) after a dose of Prolima Tech PK-1. Room temp is about 34-35C during the day, definitely much better than it used to be with 5 cards.
I used to run the cards at 775 core (0.85v) at 330mh/s when BTC price was less than $15. |
