Title: Proxies and other nonsense.

I've been reading post that seem to suggest that you need a proxy or different ports to use more than one client for a server on one IP address. The OSI model provides for separate sessions on the same port on the same IP address. It doesn't matter how many clients you are using.

I have an associate's degree in Computer Information Sciences subspecialty networking

If you are talking about the Bitcoin client, I don't understand why anyone would need to run more than 1 Bitcoin client.

If you are talking about mining cliemts, you are incorrect in your assumption.
