Your first transaction depends upon the second transaction. The first cannot confirm until the second does.

The fee on your second transaction is a bit low, 50 satoshis/byte. According to http://bitcoinfees.21.co/, the recommended fee is 100 satoshis/byte.

yeah im not sure why its not sending :(. I pmed him . You have no idea why the 24 hour wont send? i normally get these sent within 15 mins .

Your fee is too low. That's why it hasn't confirmed yet. I said that in my post.

even the 24 hour one?  I understand the 12 hour one was too low. Should i go with dynamic fee from now on on electrum? This is the second time this happend and last time i never got my bitcoins back. I set it to 150% now instead of going based off per kb ,im not sure if thats too high. Sorry for the confusion let me explain what happend. I sent .1 last night to the wallet and noticed after 3 hours it was not sending. You are not understanding what I have said.

Your 24 hour transaction (which I will call Transaction A) has a low fee. It has a fee of ~50 Satoshis/byte, whereas the recommended fee is 100 satoshis/byte.

Your 12 hour transaction (which I will call Transaction B) spends from Transaction A. Because Transaction A has not confirmed yet, Transaction B cannot confirm. It also has a low fee, but that is irrelevant right now.

You should always use a dynamic fee, regardless. The status of the network constantly changes, so what was appropriate one day may not be appropriate another day. Enable Dynamic Fees in Electrum and move the Fee Multiplier slider to the right to 150%. This will almost always ensure that you have a high enough fee, although you will probably be over paying.

ah i see where i messed up now , thank you . what should i do now? should i double spend them?

You can try that if you don't care about your second transaction ever confirming.

If you can figure out how to clear the unconfirmed transactions from Electrum, you can create a transaction that spends from the first transaction's inputs but also include a higher fee.

If you can't double spend it, then all you can do is wait for a miner to confirm both transactions.

how long do you think that will take? this bitcore is going to take a few days most likely to sync :/ . IS there a way to just cancel it from the server? I cannot find a way to clear electrum its giving me a headache searching. I reinstalled electrum and now it says "unconfirmed parent" im not sure if that makes a diffrence.

Usually a day or two. We are talking about confirmation times here. I personally had transactions with too low fee unconfirmed for weeks and I have seen unconfirmed transactions that have been 5 months old. There is no upper limit on how long you might have to wait if your fee is not high enough.


I assume you are talking about bitcoin core, bitcore is something different. You dont have to fully sync in order to create or sign a raw transaction. You can broadcast it via a web interface[1].


You maybe connected to a single electrum server, but there are several thousand probably ~10000 full nodes that have a copy of your transaction. If you want to double spend you need for many of them to forget about the transaction. Which will happen over time, IIRC the default "forget TX" value is currently 72 hours.


Did you try to spend one of the outputs here[2]?

Enable RBF so you don't have this issue in the future.
