A federal court in the Northern District of California has authorized the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) to obtain information about U.S. taxpayers who conducted transactions through Coinbase from 2013 to 2015.

So users who started with them after December 2015 are not affect by this IRS audit they are doing on the Coinbase's user base?

This will not be the end of this.... They will audit that period for previous financial years and milk the tax out of that and then they will shift

their focus to new financial years. Everyone knew Coinbase stripped all pseudo-anonymity from Bitcoin with their KYC/AML requirements, so

this comes as no surprise. Let them do their audits and take what is due to them and get it over with... Bitcoin is not going to go away

because of this... What this does show, is that services like this can be used to milk taxes for the governments.  ;D
