Title: Can Anyone Send Me Any Fraction of a BTC? I Will Send It Back
Post by: Kz3ro on June 15, 2011, 01:17:33 AM
I'm trying to get the hang of this and try to understand the transaction process, how it works, how to verify it is it safe, etc I've been reading about it and can't understand fully.

My BitCoin Address:

1NmJWy38tVHk1pTZAr67CTVyPzPAkzMKn7

Can anyone send me any amount, smallest amount even, I will send it back. Does it just go through to my address? Do I have to sign something, how do you make a trade where if you send money to someone, and he wants to send you something, how do you make the trade safe? Rather than one goes first.. Or is that how it works?

Thanks !

You can use an escrow service like http://eptiv.com/ to be the middleman in transactions.

I read somewhere that bitcoin currency is divisible to eight decimal places.

He probably has a zero balance, so that won't work.

I was quoting the part about him wondering how to make it safe.

Thanks, so the program itself doesn't offer these features of trade?

I think thats dumb, anyway, does anyone mind sending me

0.00000001? or how low it goes, is the transaction instant?

Thanks for your generosity, i'll send it back.
