Title: Mtgox verification queue issue
Post by: bittencoin on April 10, 2013, 09:59:57 AM
I originally opened an account at Mtgox almost two years ago and deposited money through dwolla.  But now I am no longer able to withdraw by dwolla because I am not a verified account holder.

So I filled out the necessary info to get verified yesterday.  I was in the queue at ~15400 initially.  But I just checked back with the process and I am now moved further back in line at ~16200, WTH?

Do they have a secret express line that is not advertised? (half joking)

According to their timeline, it is iffy that they can manually verify 1600 accounts a day considering that they have been slow with support questions.

Update:

Another issue I just ran into is that all withdrawals are now halted because the account is in the verification status.  I can't even withdraw money or transfer out coins at all.  So by asking them to verify your ID, you basically can't withdraw at all, not even at the amount set for the unverified level.

Usually takes around 10 business days to get verified. No idea why you jumped further up in the queue, that is odd...

Also, this is new:

Trading is halted until 2013-04-12 02:00am UTC to allow the market to cooldown following the drop in price. Read more details on the support. Additionally trading fees will not be charged within 48 hours of trading resuming (until 2013-04-14 02:00am UTC).

Just so you know, even MtGox has issues. At the current rate, I'm about 2 days away from being verified on there, and probably going with them for my initial buy-in (simply because they actually seem to know what they're doing in spite of their ineptitude in carrying it out). It's a young market. It will recover.

But I'm chomping at the bit to buy, LOL.
