It is rising so fast now. Maybe too fast for comfort too some to be able to handle. :-\

Going to have to rise faster if we are going to hit some prediction target numbers such as $10000.

I think 2017 is the year of 4 digits price of BTC actually.

No doubt that it will go $1k and above.... however, I'm hoping for a dip also, so that we could buy more...

Maybe now is a good time to buy before it pass $1,000.

 Whales may pump it just to reach 1000$ and then dump next year. I would be really cautious when buying more as it can be very late. It would have been perfect if the price was just 800$. But its a good time to celebrate though.

It is likely that we will start new year with $1000 price however nobody knows actual reason behind such a huge pump bitcoin have right now and we all know after every huge pump we may see huge dump so i am quite scared right now. We may see some correction or may be huge dump if price touches $1000.  >:(

Well new years will bleed some of us crypto nerds off into 'argh' 'social events' ..so I don't expect to see it hit $1000 till sometime the beginning of January 2017.

Also considering that new years is a really big deal in China and the far east..this also may apply as well.

i keep expecting the rise to stop at some point, but it keeps going higher and higher. seems like all the previous expectations are going wrong. something new is at work here and it is not going to stop until we see the ATH broken and a new ATH replacing it for the first time.

This is a very fantastic price. bitcoin prices rise very high. we can benefit greatly from the rise in prices now. I will try to continue holding to achieve higher prices.  :)

I'm expecting to test $1000 price levels within today. In bitstamp the higher side prices was $980.74, actually I'm seeing it has ready done as per the speculation of many people here as +/-5% are always negligible. The worst case we can say bitcoin will hit it by 30th decemeber, yes just tomorrow.

Well, we just have to wait, maybe the beginning of the year or in the new year, bitcoin prices have reached $ 1,000, and I'm sure at that moment bitcoin prices will continue to rise. maybe now we only need to hold bitcoin we have to price it arrives...

Seems it might happen realy soon maybe eve by the end of this year. This would be a great new year's eve present and great begininig of the new year with potential for even higher pump. Let's wait for just a little while and see.

At this point it's not a big deal anymore since we are only ~$30 away from reaching the $1000 level. Profits can be secured easily at current levels as the risk to wait for $1000 is a bit too much. Mainly because of the fact that we may not reach it this year. It doesn't take much for the price to come down again.

Few days??? Just checked yobit, there is 1030 $ already. We are finally there, and I`m so happy cause of that. Now I`m checking my post history, around july I predicted that we will be here before new year, then I changed my mine in october, and now big surprise. How much excitements we had this months, unbelievable! Now I understand how people felt back in 2012, this is amazing.
Well congratulations to everyone here, we are there, and I bet we will stay there for a while and continue to rise after. I will try to not doubt in myself next time.

It is sure that the value of bitcoin will hit $1000 within days left of this year . We can see it clearly as the price is already close to the said value so no doubt and we can be very sure that it is going to happen . We still have so much time left before this month ends so it is not yet late for bitcoin to rise up to that target value .

It's pretty much a given that it will hit $1,000 soon but as we have just a few days it might not happen this year, we could get there Jan 1st and that would be an awesome way to kick off the new year.

Agree, It seems like a matter of hours finally and the price will reach again after a long time that barrier, in spite of appearances that the price would decline again, there is a good chance that it will remain at those levels, it would be absurd to think that the price would go back to lower levels, especially when there are no reasons that could drag it down, as on other occasions, but in any case we will have to watch its change very closely over the next couple of days until New Year's Eve.

Bitcoin have better chance to reach $1k  by Christmas and next year.I really want that move,bitcoin is now pretty much stable and I don't think bitcoin will be drop from this position.I am pretty much positive this time I saw some people said bitcoin will reach $1000, I think still have chance to increase price and reach $1000.lets see what will happen future.

Positive sentiment is very strong...so yes, I think we'll hit $1000 in maybe a week.  That's a guess of course,  and we could get another pullback.

I hope so I don't have a lot of money currently invested in bitcoin but it is good for all of us that bitcoin keeps growing and gets more attention from the general public.

i don't think in the new year the price will be reach $1000, but if for 2017 then i am sure that the price will reach what we want because the new year is only two days left and the price now is getting down into $951 for now and i am not sure with this but if there are any big players that want to pump the price, then it could be happen in this two days.

1000 is a big barrier to break again. There is a lot of resistance there and we won't shoot directly from 8xx to 1xxx in one massive push. It will be teasing the 1000 line for a while before breaking it and rocketing past it to touch the ATH.

it has drop back to $955 again but it doesn't mean that bitcoin is never going to hit $1000 . there's still so many hours left but it doesn't matter if the price didn't hit the said before the year ends but at least it is already on the higher price and I don't think that there's something that will go wrong which can affect the price during the month of January .

Though I am a bit hesitant that bitcoin will hit $1000 before New Year because of the ups and downs of price, the bullish meter of Bitcoin shows that there is a big chance that bitcoin will break $1000 wall, it is getting nearer and nearer to the mark.  In addition, the recent dip of bitcoin seems the last correction before it hit $1000

It will hit $1,000 soon. Maybe 1 day before the year change, the price will reach $1,000 or even more. The problem is when 2017 comes, the price of bitcoin will stay on that price or going down. My prediction is the price going down and going up again when the chinese new year come.

Yeah this year Christmas pump almost reached 1000$. Today its 951$ now. I think this price marching will move upto cominig February.  People who holded bitcoins will be benefitable by selling their bitcoins or they will hold high value assest with them.

Yes it will reach to 1000$ in the year 2017 because the demand for bitcoin will increase in the year 2017. Once the price is increasing means many people will start holding the bitcoins, once they are holding bitcoin means definitely it will bounce to even 1200$ also.

The price is around 950$ right now, but it does not look like it will pump more, it is moving around 950$ but just wont go to 1000$. Maybe it will get there after New Year somewhere in January r wont get there at all. I thought it would drop by now, honestly.

Bitcoin has a mind of its own you just don't know when it will swing to the $1000 mark or jump to $2000 but I have confidence it will breeze over $1000 any time soon.

The possibility of crossing the $1000 are really high but then there are even chances that the price would drop now because there was a bubble during the christmas season when the price jumped over $150 in the space of few hours and if the price could break the $1000 mark i do expect more records to be broken.

Looks like bitcoin price stable at $960 in the end of 2016 and it's already 2017, not bad at all.

The bitcoin price is very very near $1000 and the last time when bitcoin price was ~1000 was more than 3 years before
I just checked the graphs and the current price is just perfect comparing with the past recent years.

This is a very appropriate time to speculate. the current price of bitcoin is so extraordinarily high. improvement happens very fast and positive impact for users bitcoin. 1000USD just waiting for a matter of hours alone in my opinion.

If you are very optimist that this can happen in the next hours then it may happen if the Chinese people (which are woken up now) start buying.
But it is the new year eve and here in U.S the new year hasn't come yet so I don't think there will be a small pump today/tomorrow.

i say so because $750 was reached two time, this mean that the stability is very high there, and increase of $150 is not that big, and it's sustainable, will not get dumped as a result

first of all let me say that it is not going to happen because we have entered accumulation mode and prices won't go up much in this stage.

but also, let me tell you that these holidays have no effect because for one as you said it is not holiday in the rest of the world and even if it was, the big trades who change the market have lots of bots and maket watchers that will kick in as soon as there was a change so they can act on it which means they are not out of the market yet.

You have some valid points there but lets not take out the big possibilities that bitcoin would reach for that price since the bitcoins price still surging at this very point so 1000$ price is achievable, just try to look at the current price for now the price situation is little bit reachable for now so, the target price possibly be reached if good times will come but we don't truly know when this time to be happen.

It did reach just this morning. It is only off by $5 now and that ground is not very hard to cover the way it has been touching and reaching all expectation from the new year already.

There were many people thinking that the price would plummet after the end of last year. But I saw no reason why. Bitcoin has reached a much larger number of users, and there is an ecosystem that gives people options to use it. In fact things need to improve, but it's a relatively new ecosystem, I think it's just a matter of time until we see more commercial establishments accepting it.

It has already reached 1010 on Okcoin, and 1006.5 on bitfinex. The Chinese seem to be leading the charge which is bullish since they control most of the volume.

When grexit & others events happen, not only will be the chinese buying btc due to yuan weaking & china's capital control but also the europeans will join the bull trend.

Bitcoin has already passed that mark and now we looking forward to it breaking its all time record of US$1216.73 set back in November 2013!!
