Well my prediction is that its a bump of Market. The price may remain at 1k$ for a month i guess but it will come back soon in the end of January or in the start or mid of FEB.
So, Guys what is the best option HOLD or SELL?
What is your prediction what will be the peak point of the Bitcoin this month in JAN?

If you dont hold for new ATH you are crazy IMO.  Then you have to think if we break new ATHs everyone who bought is now in profit so you might aswell count in another $400 rally off that.  Then who knows, i'd guess up even more since things aren't near crazy yet.

This Bull market high: $2000-$3000.

Next bear market low: $1000-$1500.

Continued push to around 1100-1200, then retracing to 850-900 over the course of a month or so.

I think the price can be still push at $1100 the movement price to the highest still not finish yet since many adoption will come this year.. like other said and company they are adding more feature for their service and i think we are seen already more bitcoin user are investing and believing in bitcoin because before they are not believe in bitcoin that is why the price is crashing..

This is a conservative and reasonable prediction, but take into account that in bitcoin land conservativeness doesn't always apply. For all we know, this may be the new floor and we will never see 3 figures again, so I wouldn't gamble with it and i would just keep buying any further dips. Unless something huge happens, I don't see any major corrections in the future.

Some say that China banning bitcoin could take a big hit on the price, but im not sure about that, it may actually do the exact opposite.

I've gambled about 50% of my holdings on that prediction, hehe. At least I've put my money where my mouth is :\ Thankfully my correction depth is about 50USD lower than that exit. Might get burned, might not. We shall see.

I think China banning BTC would have a significant negative impact on the price of BTC.

Is the bull market prediction too high  ;D for the price to hit $2000 by the end of this year is a big possibility and i do hope this bull run rolls for a week or so and it would see a sell off pretty soon and that is what my expectation are so that i could enter once again since i sold my coins when the price hit $800 thinking that i would come down after Christmas but it flew to new heights which dented my plans. :(

I would choose to hold seen the price will continue to increase as you say that most old or month feb bitcoin prices will be above $ 1000.

My guess is at least a new USD ATH before a serious correction. We've been having healthy little corrections as we go along instead of bubbling up and waiting for a massive bubble burst.

If and when it forms the next bubble, it should take us well over $3kUSD and crash by maybe half.

Even then, I'd keep holding. Why sell unless you absolutely must? Wouldn't you rather take your profits in Bitcoin rather than some fiat currency?

Personally I am suspicious of such a large price hike (almost 1050 at one point) this reeks of a pump and dump.

Considering the extremely low demand in the orderbooks i would say this trend won't last more than a few weeks.
Although it's hard to tell. It's clear the manipulators have infiltrated the exchanges at the highest levels. Only that can explain the weird things going on at the exchanges and such a weak orderbook pushing so hard up.

since its already touching the 1040$ at the first day of the year. 1800-2000$ by the end of this year seems very possible, if everything goes rights.

I think that it will continue to climb up and potentially readjust downwards for a bit before it goes back up again. Possibly $750 as a floor and by the end of the year we could possibly see $1,500 or even $2,000.

Well for my own prediction and checking the charts from blockchaini saw the movement of every fluctuate these days.. and i think those fluctuate also push the price increase.. well i saw that the movement is going to crash right now so i think the price will be stay at this price and it will not increase above $1100.. if we will seen that the price will increase more above $1100 maybe it  can be increase more until $1500 value.. so for now better to sell few percentage and save the rest just to make sure if the price will increase more you can be still get the benefits of the price increased.

my prediction was that price will go up to $1000+-$50 and then go back to $900 range because so many will sell their coins at this price (which is mostly a mentality thing) because of the round number. and then go back up again.

but the more time passes and the more i look at the supports and amount that is sold versus amount that is bought in orders the less i believe in my above speculation.

best option is always buy and hold obviously. but even i sold a tiny amount enough to celebrate the $1000 and my 426% profit.

It wont take as long as waiting this whole year, you are looking at the next month. Maybe this is just a slight move up in price and it will level off but that would be interesting since we have a decent floor for a move some time in the future.

I don't think the current four figure levels can be maintained for too long as the buy support doesn't show any signs of getting stronger. And the buy support that is clearly visible, will be pulled by bots as soon as they notice that the price is about to eat through it. Either way, right now it's a perfect moment to cash out some profits, and to keep holding the other part of your coins to see where the price is heading to. But one thing is very important, don't get greedy to a point where you constantly keep holding your coins without cashing out some profits. The price can't go up endlessly. At some point we'll fall back to levels well below $1000 and perhaps below $900...

I think the price of bitcoin in one month will continue to rise, but very slowly because prices fluctuate so that sometimes go up sometimes down. Prices will continue to over $ 1000 to February 2017. Perhaps if sure to hold better to keep hold of a few months because the prices will still go up, but if it is considered enough profit can directly sell.

there will be a correction for sure, because there always is one after a rise. but because of the good shape market is in, i doubt that a correction would be big or even last long. that is why i am expecting possible temporary breaking of $1000 to go down and jump right back up.

Some people get caught in that mentality. "There will be a correction for sure". And I agree, the question is when... and right now it doesn't feel like it's going to go below 1000 for a long time. We've already seen a sub 1000 dip in the past few hours and the sell orders got eat fast all the way up to 1000+ again, it shows the trend is only up. We might have dips, but no huge corrections.

A guy I know has been waiting for a correction ever since we went from 200 to 700. "This growth is not sustainable he said". And here we are, sitting at 1000+ comfortably and he has been left behind with no bitcoins since he wasn't able to buy back.

Information tells me that there might be some dips but the trend will continue to $1500 this year.  There are several factors that will support the claim.  Some people are fleeing and still fleeing from their currency like India, Nigeria and Venezuela.  There are also new stream of fresh investment coming from probably new people embracing Bitcoin as their investment.

1500$ not possible, i think we will hit 1100 to 1200 (maybe). It's a very much difficult price to achieve we just hope that Bitcoin reach that point. Now mostly people are holding their coins an waiting that price hit a little bit up then 1000$ as soon as it hits 1100 i guess they will sell their bitcoins and then we will see dump in price however i want the bitcoins price to be stable at 1k$ for at least a month or two, so many more investors will invest in Bitcoins and we may see a bump in price. We need more and more people to use bitcoin.

The movement of the price of bitcoin right now is good if you notice the price of bitcoin still staying at this level and playing at $1015to $1030 and i think it will stay long just like other said.. and i hope that the price will stay or much better it will increase more even $1500 this month or next month..

well if you really think that bitcoin come back to its previous price it would be better to hold for a while and if you feel like the price drop is approaching then sell your bitcoin and buy again . in this month and the following I am not sure if it is going to increase or the price will be decreased and as of now I don't have any prediction with bitcoin but I am looking forward for more jump of its price .

With the current media hype on bitcoin, and new people coming in and some rumors about Pres. Trump stance with Bitcoin, I think Bitcoin price will stay at $1k this January.  The peak might probably be at $1200 because of the aim of Bitcoin people to reach the new ATH.

Nice. It is going to be a challenge for your memory rather than against his speculation. I mean to say we will forget about his pessimist prediction when bitcoin will be hitting $1500. Or it will happen after a long period of duration like we forget about this completely.

My prediction for bitcoin prices would be $10,000 price levels by end of 2017.

If the Kim Dot Com thing comes off, then we might see some VERY high prices in 2017. I just hope some scaling solution will be implemented

before this happens, because it would be a complete tragedy if we go mainstream and Bitcoin cannot scale to those levels. I would wager a

I feel right now the price will increase more or it will stay the price at this level because i heard that many well know news site they are now knows about bitcoin that the price was hit at $1k value publicity and more people are reading that article and watching.. and i think the other people will be more interesting in bitcoin that can attract more people to invest in bitcoin and push the price each bitcoin..

Since the all time high of the price was $1200 three years ago back in 2013 then that is what we should be going for.
Since the last time I checked a ticker it was over $1035 so it is getting there and will probably reach it before the month is over. That is a solid prediction from all the signs that everybody has been talking about lately on the wall observer thread. ;D

My prediction bitcoin prices for the month of February it could touch 1150usd price / BTC a fantastic figure when it occurs.

This is a big price for bitcoin I hope the same.
But I think it will hit 1100$ and will come back to its normal price and will stop at 700$ its my prediction but who knows what happens next.

I personally can see the price fall below $1000 again in the coming weeks, but I can't see the price fall back all the way to $700 without any negative happenings/news articles. If none of that happens, there is absolutely nothing that can justify the price to sink down that deep. Especially not when you consider the current flawless sentiment and the dedication of people looking to hold their coins for a good while. It's all positive.

In line with many here, for me the most probable outcome is a double top in the middle 11xx area.

Then I would predict a new bearish move back to ~ 850$. At the beginning of March we should be there. And then, it's all fundamentals - means: if the ETF gets approved or Segwit is adopted (or both) we may see a new rally to the ATH and then it may break through. If not, 600ish - confirming the double top with a sideways to bearish long-term tendency.

I see the price becoming stable at 1000$ for long term which is pretty decent level for per Bitcoin. I don't see it dropping back to 600-700$ again. Although all external factors have influence on the market but it would be much more attractive at higher price with upwards/downwards small movements.

I too believe that the price gets stable around the value of $1000 as mentioned by the above mate. For the entire year I expect the price to be in the four digit value. Even if it goes down won't drop steep to a value as few guys mentioned to be between $500-$600.

You already started predicting the price in 2018, You are expecting too much from Bitcoin however, it will not reach that amount I believe. It will come back to its normal shape as I said before, it will be back to 700s or maybe 800s, Which is still a pretty good price.

It is too late to predict that. You should have said that 6 months ago. The price of bitcoin is quite stable at above 1000. And this is a generic price increase, not pumped by whales, so there is no reason for any price drop.

Nope, the price is stable around $1150-$1200 right now. Even the price is going down, it will be around $1000. The price of bitcoin might be back to $500-$600 IF something bad happen on bitcoin and i think it wll not happen for the next 5-6 months. As stated bitcoin price move is quite promising and keep on moving forward. The recent price fall due to the technology threat made a panic among users and soon the price recovery gave good price increase. Possibly this might touch at least $1500 and even higher if adoption increases.

Yes, unfortunately the price levels above $1000 failed to trigger attracting new people into bitcoin like what it had done in 2013. But I don't think same to happen when bitcoin will be reaching $1500 or $2000 price levels. So, we cannot be sure about same percentage of appreciations all the times.

Yes price can go higher at the end of the year and may be it can hit $2k price that time and even if doesn't reach that price still anything above $1500 or above is expected in this year and that seems to be possible looking at the growth of bitcoins.

i hope we can reach this price in the end of the year even if its more high because from now on, i think the price will more volatile than last year because of many things. we hope that if the price is down, its not too deep and we can buy more bitcoin and we can sell it in high price. i think there is many prediction that we can make but we should see what will happen in the market.

Predicting bitcoins price has been proven to be extremely difficult. We had so many volatile price swings, and not everyone in the world believes bitcoin will achieve a much higher value than it is worth right now. Here on forum we are optimistic about price of bitcoin, and here many people believe that price can go very high. My prediction for end of this year is 1500$, price can be higher, or lower nobody can predict it accurately. We need to see what will happen with segwit and bu first, future depends on what they are doing now and what will they do in next few months.

Predicting bitcoin price is very hard so I will predict what will happen to only on the span of the month of april to june. My first prediction is that it will be stable for weeks until may and there will be a dump on may that will of course just be a little correction to make way for another pump in june. Another prediction I had is that price will be stable but it will shortly pump for a while on may and it will be followed by a dump days after the pump that will occur driving back the price to sub 1000$ and then back up again at june.

This stalemate and debate over BU/SW and the slow motion mode of development just shows how decentralized and manipulation free bitcoin is.
You can clearly see that there are some big whales(miners/pools) that are in constant conflict over everything related to network's changes and it's future road map.
If you are in this for short term profits then you'll going have to learn the markets of bitcoin to correctly predict average prices in 20-30 days ranges.
But if you have a brain larger than a peanut then you could see crystal clear that an industry of $20B is not a joke, it's not something that could vanish over night or land on moon over night as well, you'll see that Satoshi designed the whole thing to move upwards as times passes and this is the first open source and truly decentralized system with such design.
We'll always have drops and that's inevitable but increase in price over time is also inevitable, so while I'd predict price to go over $1280 by the end of April we might as well see a drop below $1050 in the same time period, but look at the charts from the start in 2009 until now and tell me if you can't see the upward trend patterns.

I have been watching closely the bitcoin price from the start of 2016 and to tell you truth, its price is increasing trend. Though these were few back drops of price but they were just temporary and its overall increasing in price of bitcoin.

It is April now and the price is still at $1k I think it will continue to be like this and will not go down to the 3 level digits, and I wish any one in the forum can give a much more near speculation for the newbies or for some guys like me that don't know how to read the movements of bitcoin, well I'm not really asking for the exact value but the speculated one!

It will always be the best thing if you are going to keep on holding and for the month of April we are still on $1k and it did even reached back at $1,200. So if you are a believer that the price can come up again and even higher for the next months. Then don't hesitate to keep on holding because it will be worth it.

We MUST hit $2,000 this year, probably 2018 is the last time we'll see prices under $1,000. We must hit $2,000 in 2018 and once we pass that, the price will never see under 4 figures ever again for sure. It will be too strong to ever fail.

That look out of hands. The price might reach $2500 by the year based on the regulatory affairs and acceptance, but a gradual $10k growth per year is not possible. After certain limits I think the price might stay stable.

I don't believe that bitcoin will reach the price of 10K$ each by year 2021 This is a pretty insane price. However, We may see 2k$ per bitcoin but this is hard too.
We just hope for the best and want everyone to adopt bitcoin so we can have a good and better price of bitcoins.

The price of bitcoins might fall a bit in the ongoing month and maybe more in May. But the price will start raising around June - July and eventually again get's down around August. Then finally the price gets humongous around December ( around Christmas )

The price will move around this value until there is any settlement in the scaling debates and i do expect the price to move around the $900 to $1200 range until everything is settled and the price would fly when it is settled amicably.

Easier said than done, especially when you consider that Bitcoin still isn't scaling. I strongly believe that as long as there isn't a viable mid to long term (preferably long term of course) scaling solution, that we won't see prices anywhere near the $2000 mark. It's the only thing that holds back Bitcoin, and basically everyone knows that. If that's done, then I am fairly sure that for the next 5-10 years (until Bitcoin for whatever reasons becomes obsolete, which I don't consider to be a likely scenario) we won't see sub $1000 prices again.

I hope like that, so now is a good time to buy a bitcoin because I am very optimistic this year could reach $2500, in fact I'm so confident the price will reach $3000 this year.

what can affect the rise in price relies on the size of adoption. The larger the user the more it gets scarce. If demand is more than supply the price of the commodity goes up. We expect more adoption in Asia in coming months, and we all know what size Asia take in world population.

Well speculating the movements of it a lot is saying that it would never be back down to $900 but we are expecting the price to stay on the 1k mark and if we are lucky enough it would go to the $1300 but we need to really wait and be patient for it to really move because it is scaling back to the $1100 mark!

Hopefully bro it will reach in $2500 before 2018 so we can benefit on it. It's impossible that it will reach before this year ends but who knows maybe in the next 3 months we can achieve that price

If bitcoin price will be pump on market maybe this coming or after this year bitcoin will be at the price of 1700 dollars per bitcoin how this sound to you people? This is quite good for me coz im holding some bitcoins right now from investments and from trading while waiting for the big bump happen and technology are in around the corner maybe it will be implemented to accept bitcoin at any merchandise.

One of my humble predictions (as everytime, "simple charts + community sentiment + fundamentals").

Fundamentals:
1) BU adoption seems to have stalled, so no hard fork is within sight, for now.
2) Segwit adoption seems to have stalled too, according to the last F2pool statements.
3) UASF is possible, but it's too early to tell if it will be a success. (I personally would support first the Asicboost UASF to tell if Asicboost is really that relevant)
4) Still no news from India and China (may be bearish) but positive news from Japan.
-> Fundamentals are neither bullish nor bearish but a bit better than one month ago.

Community sentiment:
- Seems to be pretty neutral to slightly bullish, at least long-term; short-term it might be a little bearish after the last small dump

Simple charts:
- Bullish trend channel (930 -> 1240ish) was clearly broken.
- No real panic after the dump pretty good support in the mid-1100ishs.
- maybe a mid-term triangle is forming that would close in June/July

So taking into account these three price influences, I would vote for a "bumpy sideways market". That means, that there could be fluctuations by +-15-20%, but not with a clear bullish or bearish trend; it's probable that at the mid of the year  we will be still in a similar price range than in April. In the very short term I'm slightly bearish, a fall till ~1000-1010 is still inside my projection.

I agree with this this or the next year is going to be the last time we see bitcoin under 1000 which is incredible since not so long ago bitcoin was in the 600 dollar range and now we are never going to see bitcoin under 1000.

as everyone has their own view about bitcoin, but to me i think the price of bitcoin is expecting to cross 2000 USD level very easily, as we can see that the price of bitcoin is already trading above 1200 USD level so i think it is not such a big task for bitcoin to cross 800 USD points in next 8 months, i am hopeful that bitcoin will achieve the target very soon.

I agree. Bitcoin has a good perspective, but he can not grow so fast. He needs at least a year.

I think that slow pace would not mind us at all and in fact the value of bitcoin is now very well great in some aspect lets just wait for bitcoin to go there and see if he would really break the boundary of over a 1k mark value, and there have been a slight resistance in the price increase and there are many factors affecting, all we can do is wait.

2500 usd price is too high to expect from this year and won't be achieved in this year but something around 1500 - 2000 usd price can be expected in this year and that will also depend only if the demand of bitcoins goes higher in future.

bitcoin prices experienced a remarkable increase occurred at this time. positive trend occurred in various exchange. I predict will reach 1600USD bitcoin prices at the end of the year. a commonplace of course after seeing how bitcoin prices today.

If everything goes right and no major scam happens, I would say bitcoin will reach $2000 by the end of 2017. But at the end, bitcoins are hard to predict. It will depend on many factors, demand and supply being the major. In future demand of bitcoin is likely to increase, thus appreciating the price of bitcoin.

if bitcoin price stay at $1000 this month I'm sure there will be a dump next money and after a weeks there's a really high pump that will happen in the price of bitcoin so make sure that your wallet in bitcoin not to use it because bitcoin price will gonna raise really hard this coming months and after this year end bitcoin price maybe it will hit $1400-1500 .

This year is not the most successful period for the growth of bitcoin and I doubt that by the end of the year it will reach $ 2000.

It been a while since bitcoin breach that price of $1200 usd per bitcoins my prediction here is when bitcoin will be accepted in the market for us to easy use it not converting into fiat currency before using it? This year maybe they planning to implementation bitcoin into reality one and bitcoin will be breach the price of $1500 usd next year how this sound to you guys?

It sounds optimistic, I also think so. But some believe that this year because of bad news bitcoin can still drop below $ 1000.
