Is this the right time to buy bitcoin? As of this moment, bitcoin is at $769, almost where it began to rise and went pass $1100.
So is the current value where it will stay on average? I mean it can go down or up but on average do you think it will remain close to this value? If yes, then I'd assume its the best time to purchase some bitcoin.
Your thoughts?

Nobody have predicted that yuan will be stronger against USD on early days of this year but that happened which make huge dump on bitcoin.
Nobody have predicted a small investigation by PBOC on chinese exchange platform can make dump on bitcoin price, but it made that effect yesterday.

So there is no guarantee what will happen to bitcoin price, you have to keep yourself updated regarding all types of news that can effect bitcoin price.
For me any price below $1000 is best price to buy, if i have more cash right now i will buy bitcoin with all of those cash in the current price.

Well, I had purchased some bitcoins the last month and it is really dissapointing. That happens and it lead to another so, just a wrong timing.

I don't think so. I doubt that bitcoin can decrease under 600$ in this month then it will be return back 900$ or higher.
Perhaps there were some bad rumors from china,   So the investors are still waiting for good news before re-buying again.

Then it is a good chance to buy Bitcoins while it is in 600$ i guess.

Although no one can really know for sure the direction of which the price of bitcoin will slide towards because there are unfirseen circumstances that could totally change the ball game without giving anyone any heads up. At the same time, I would suggest you take time to study when the price will be relatively stable before making your decision.

no one can tell you this for sure, anything is possible. the chances for both things happening are there. but i say chances of rising is a lot more than chances of falling more.

and besides this last drop was all because of a FUD about Chinese inspection, so there is no valid reason for the drop. in my opinion this drop is similar to the drop that happened because of the bitfinex hack, there was no valid reason then and price came back up after it also.

Just wait for more weeks maybe the price of bitcoin will be slowly decrease.Maybe the good time to buy more bitcoin when the price floor is under $500.but its up to you if you gonna buy now.

Maybe wait for another 2 days. I think it will drop even more. When it drops up to $650+. Thats good for you to buy bitcoin. But $750+ is good tho. I haven't seen any good sign yet. I've seen many bad news these days. Big whales are starting to dump right now because of FUDsters. Thats why i think the price will drop. But you can still earn more if you buy now since bitcoin has a strong foundation. It will surely recover in just a matter of weeks.

price is so volatile right now which makes predicting things tougher. and it always fall onto you to make a decision about these things.
but if you have a hard time making decisions, then go for a long term investment. meaning buy bitcoin now that there is a dip and then stop looking at the price for  at least 6 months and then enjoy your big profit.

I am very disappointed on what is happening with bitcoin right now. But there is no one that can really predict when is the right time to buy. And I guess it is going to be better if you are going to buy now or if you think that the price is still high enough so just wait for a while or few days. It depends on how you are satisfied.

Don't buy any until after Jan 2017.

I think the right time would be right now. The price is really low and the demand for it is still the same and is increasing in fact as it is become more popular each day. I would say that there would be a bounce back once it hits the lowest it can get to and when that happens you'll be rich because of the price increase. If you buy now at $700 and it boosts to $1,000+ ranges again that's really a great profit!

its always better to assess and keep on tracing the downfall, as we all knew that fluctuation always around us and weak holders will do some panics so better to take advantage we just needed to make sure that we can place our entry in the right timing and sell it when profits is already acceptable with your target but if you can hold for much longer for sure its much better.

I think it is better to wait for the Chinese government to come out with their findings first before deciding to buy again, so many uncertainties covering Chinese exchanges presently, I have some already and I'm not selling because they are for long term investment.

maybe you're right. the current bitcoin prices are falling, this might be a good time to buy a bitcoin by a huge amount. I believe, bitcoin price reduction at this time, was short lived. I feel that the price of bitcoin will rise in a short time, probably next week, the price of bitcoin back on the normal price.

I sold some a few days ago when the price was still in the $900 levels, feeling a bit sorry that I didn't sell at over $1100. Good thing I didn't wait too long to sell. The investigation being done by the Chinese government could still pull the price down and in turn make demands for yuan higher again. Let us see how things turn out in the next coming days and I hope something positive comes out of this current downtrend.

I will not touch bitcoin now, I think the PBOC pronouncement is helping those people shorting BTC to have a feed day. So many uncertainties here guys, if those exchanges were not manipulating prices there is not need for the price to crash this way.

Well, prices are good now as we can buy some more again and wait till the price sky rockets again. I think it is priced lower than it should now and buying probably would be the best option now. If the prices does go down some more, we gotta buy some more too as this is a temporary down swing and for sure it will rise up again.

i saw too many similar thread such as this that some people asking suggest to buy bitcoin in the exact time but nobody could predict next step for bitcoin price even if suppose there i think those people will not telling us the truth and for example if you trade on the particular exchange there are so many users would trying to traping another users suggest them to buys or to sells their bitcoin so i think better use your own intuition to makes decission

Bitcoin is now experiencing good growth, and much better than in previous years. I believe bitcoin price decrease this time will not be less than $ 700. I guess it does not matter when bitcoin prices are falling, because surely bitcoin will rise again exceed $ 1,000, so it does not matter if you want to buy bitcoin now. But I prefer to wait for prices to go down a little more to buy.

This Chinese nonsense will blow over and people will start buying bitcoins again soon. I predict that the inauguration of Donald Trump might cause some buzz in the financial markets, but this will also blow over. We should prepare ourselves for a huge correction, where the price will go up to $1000+ again or even higher. Once this happens the price will stay above $900 as a average for a while, because it's previous average was between $800 to $850 where it stagnated for most of 2016. Get ready to rumble! ^smile^ 

There is no right time or wrong time to buy bitcoin if you want to play it for long term. Bitcoin controls the 88% of the crypto currency market and no other coin is even closer to them.

Even if the price is at 1000 USD, you can buy bitcoin and wait for some time to get the profit. However, at the current level, bitcoin is very attractive which can be bought in bulk and kept in a secret place for another few years to get good profit.

Dude this is the right time to buy bitcoin while the price iz $767. The price will increase maybe next month. I'm planning to buy 2 bitcoins now just waiting for my funds and hopefully i earn profit for that.

Before the days of the big variation in price, the price was found to be around the range of $750. So this time too we can expect it to stagger around the same. When situations around the world and mainly in China gets to stabilize, we will see the price to move upwards once again.

Hardly its going down to between $350 & $500 and that is just in the next month or so.  :P

i will wait for the down price for a moment because i see that the trend is still down, so its worth for me to wait for a while and after reach the buttom price, then i think its the time to buy bitcoin and after that, we just have to wait for another increase for the price. but i can not predict how much the price will reach the buttom price so we should make analyze the price before we buy.

Is basic in trading that Buy Low,Sell High but as of now, how can we determine that it is already low and it will not drop further? It's really hard to predict the price changes and some other factors that affects the bitcoin price. But like you, I am very hopeful that BTC price will recover soon.

Price will drop as people  do not want to invest in bitcoin on a downtrend. 500 USD is where i am going buy back my coins. i think it will not reach sub 500  since there will be alot of buy pressure around that price . Who knows maybe we get more  shit news and more panic and it goes down to 200 USD

One thing is for sure , Bitcoin will reach prices over 1000 USD again  end of 2017  :P

Nope, the price of bitcoin keep decreasing since last week. It's better to wait until the price of bitcoin stable, but if you want try to gambling, you can buy bitcoins now and hope the price of bitcoin will increase soon. But for me, just wait and watch the condition first. Don't rush buy bitcoins

Buying now is probably fine if you plan to hold long term.
Panic seems to be over, I doubt the price would drop more than another $20 or $50 unless some big news came out.
We could easily go back up to the $800-$900 range over the next month or two as people realize the 'news' out of China was nothing.

Wait for few more days or about 1 week than price may get stabalized at some point however i don't think price will go deeper than $750 so if you can wait, wait for some days but if you want to buy than you can buy at current price.

Buying now will be good for users who were with plans of regular investment from their day job. The price stabilization is expected to happen as the price seems to sustain around the current price of $770. It could be better if the price doesn't go below $750.

$750 isn't a bottom at all (at least, not yet). We may very well face another round of panic dumps in the coming 24 hours, where we may even end up testing the $700 level. Best thing is to buy with 25% of the money you have for investment purposes at current prices, and save the rest for when the price happens to go down further. If the price goes up from these levels, then you benefit as you have bought yourself some coins already. If the price happens to tank further, then you can benefit in the way that you can buy at even lower prices. It's a win win if you play it right.

Furthermore, if you zoom out enough the price charts you will see a clear pattern! The numerous crashes follow huge pumps but evertime it happens we never reach last ATH. It means the price will continue to decrease very slowly until the next pump and crash!

you should say what you want to do, as in what is your plan when making this investment. if you are planning on making some short term profit and sell as soon as possible it is different than if you want to make a long term investment.

for the later it is good for buying now, but for the former you have to be careful after you buy because price can go up or down in short term but long is sure.

You know in the start of previous year 2016, bitcoin was at $300 and than i bought 5 bitcoins, and now recently, i sold them, and i think, i am lucky one, because i get profit from them only holding them. But now bitcoin still have a valuable price. That's why i suggest you, now should wait, because i think may be bitcoin more down, and than you should buy. But it is my thinking, if you want to buy, so that is your choice.   

If you have some coins already, then it's not really a problem if you wait and not buy. But there are enough people that have sold their coins and are now looking to buy back. It's very simple, the negative price reaction we have seen is over exaggerated. It's just a matter of time people come to sense and start buying back. I hope right now that's already the case as the price is somewhat recovering.

And what type of news are those? On another topic, this was what I intended to ask but so far have not found any suitable answer.
Maybe you could shed some light on it, where do you actually keep an eye on such issues, and going by your statements, if one follows such news, there could be a pattern to it and if we can analyze it well enough, there might be a basis we can get to make the predictions about the price of bitcoin, after every such incident or happening.
But back to this topic, I see it was kind of stable at that value as it is gone up quite a bit now again. So maybe that was the perfect time after all.
 

For now I think is not a good time to buy some BTC since the price is somewhat high but the price now is somewhat reasonable. Also, it is not time to sell since the price ain't that high and it might soar again in the next few weeks. In my opinion, you should just hold now but if you still don't have some bitcoin I guess buy if you want but it is not a very good time to buy now.

Those that haven't got any coins as we speak, are a bit in a frustrated position since (1 they don't know what to do at this point, but (2 the market is not giving any signs of going into whatever direction. That makes it even more difficult for these people. That's why the intentions of the person in question is very important here. Mid/long term - buy now. Short term - it's a gamble. That's why it's always good to never cash out all your coins at once. At these situations these people would have had some coins left to hold, but unfortunately for them, they don't have any.

Truly the present price is good for a buy, as its not high and not low. The price is quite reasonable as quoted, soon on holding can get a better earning through it. Traders who have been experiencing due to the buying made at the peak price could manage and try to retain the loss if can spend additional time in trading.

You may get lucky by timing the market, but is that the right strategy for everybody?

Which trading exchange did you use to sell them all at once or did you do small trades with individuals to sell them?
I just don't want to put bitcoin in a exchange then have that profit that you are talking about taken away in fees.
But good timing is everything when it comes to buying and then selling like you did and not any set strategy everybody thinks is needed to do any trading.

Yes buying right now is possible but I think that the price is too high, I think its not super smart to do it right now.

The right time to buy is when the price is 800$ below and just wait till the price go up before selling it. Price will go up no matter what, you'll never lose if you will hold your Bitcoin until 1k$ - 2k$ because it will surely come.

I'm not sure yet... The price is in $800 with some difficulty, nobody knows if it can drop fast about $50-$100 in less than one hour. We must continue watching and see what happens, but it's too early to say it's not so volatile. If what is happening continues for some weeks, it can be really stable, making us reach to a new base price.

We have rebounded to $800 with great difficulty.

I think impossible if February can reach $ 2,000. we have a realistic, but I agree that may currently is currently the best to buy bitcoin, as the price now will never happen again.

It is not possible to know with one hundred percent certainty if the price will fall more than the present value, but I believe it is consensus among many people who study the market, that it will be difficult to see Bitcoin at a price in the range of seven hundred dollars again.

For me, there is no right time, and it always be a right time, bcs you can't never be sure what will happened. And we can't talk for something stable. If you see the price starts increased then buy, simple ;)

Yes agree, no one is likely to know about the future. When prices reached $ 1.100 bitcoin, many people believe will go up again to $ 1.500, fortunately, because I sold 1.5 BTC. I will wait until the new year china, then buy bitcoin.

those who believed the price would go up further than it has already when it peaked over $1100 are simply not understanding the bitcoin market. the price at that time was due for a serious correction where the only right decision should be to cash out profits and hold the other part of your coins. nothing goes only up in value. and especially not in such a pace. you don't even need to have a high level of experience to see that as common sense would be just enough.

using this logic you should never buy bitcoin then. You buy bitcoin because you have some certainty the price will go up. but you make it sound more like a gambling.

it did it again! and fell to around $800 average now, I guess the best time would be at the $500 but no guarantee it would ever be back there anytime soon, definitely not a good idea to buy at $1,100 considering this is the second time it crashes there..

Well, you're right. waiting for the price of $ 600 and bought it was a great idea. but, we or know when the price of bitcoin will decline to $ 600. if you believe that the price of bitcoin will drop to $ 600, maybe you're better off selling bitcoin that you have before the price drops, because you can buy many bitcoin when it happened. see the price of bitcoin is currently rising slowly, I might buy some bitcoin.

Do not anticipate any negatives to happen for bitcoin prices. Bitcoin is completely staying strong and slowly moving toward $1000 price levels so expecting $600 again must go only as dream. The intelligent move must be buying right now and holding bitcoins tightly.

This slow progress surely will make bitcoin prices to stay stable above $1000 for upcoming months that might lead to $2000 levels so easily.

I agree with you. The bottom line is 770$ -800$ and it seems it could not down anymore. The price is rising up stably and now it has hit over 910$ at the present then it can continue to reach 1,000$ in next 24 hours . it's good sign to hold more bitcoins in this period.  

As quoted we've crossed the low bottom price of bitcoin. Now it has started to increase gradually and keeps counting. So buying now too is highly profitable as it gives an assured benefit as the price movement is continuing.

There are about 1.5million active users of btc I think.
So to double the price... You would need around 1 million more user.

I think the best time to buy bitcoins is coming. On 28th of January will be Chinese new year and this nation is number one by the number of users, so I expect to see some serious drop in the price for bitcoin around this date.

if the whole world starts to adopt BTC then the price would be trillions, not only 2k$
do the math, there are a few millions of Bitcoin users around the world at most, double them and they still be a few million, not hard at all

Seems daily traders keep selling if the price rise a bit. Whatever it is, I think bitcoin increasing is inevitable.

I think you should follow news and tables about bitcoin to really hit right time to buy.
It is harder to find after lot of bullish movements we saw last year.

Yes, it is better to buy bitcoin now itself.Bitcoin has recovered from fall that happened two weeks ago.It occurred due to panic selling of bitcoins by chinese. They thought bitcoin will be banned by PBOC action. But, now they feel very sad that they have lost most of their bitcoin holdings. Now, they are spreading rumours that bitcoin will be banned in china so that bitcoin price would fall and they can easily buy their lost bitcoins. So, better buy now itself.

Yeah yeah but sometimes when you see big dump coming, I bet you will not have a brave to buy bitcoin. It's why we need to learn and gain experience in the trade because all is not as easy as the words.

If the price of bitcoin breaches the $750 support then the price would go down real bad and it is not that wise to enter bitcoin at all after that because you never know whether it will recover from that stage and there is no real reason for the price to nose dive just like that.There will be small correction with every price increase and if you could not enter during that time wait for some more time to enter at a good price.I expect the current trend the price would trade between $850 and $950.

I guess there is always possibility for Bitcoin to touch $700 but it would be a bit minimum.  As of now Bitcoin is stable at $900+ maybe the inauguration of Pres. Trump have something to do with it or probably the coming Chinese New Year.  I observe an increase of Bitcoin price due to the coming Chinese Holiday  and if there is no Bad Press coming then it is more likely to happen.

In that case, the OP would certainly have to wait a long time. I think that considering the current mining difficulty, in a highly specialized business, few people would be willing to sell Bitcoin at this rate, especially this year, when there may be events that are unlikely to happen again. Don't forget about the bitcoin etfs, lightning network and a lot of other things.

Its not time yet to buy bitcoin now, due to its high for now. We have to wait for the meantime,  since fluctuation is most often happen.
